Chapter 448: Chapter 448

The diminutive figure of the girl, though burdened with the weight of potential, seemed to lack the immediate utility that could attract potential buyers.

Her slender frame appeared too delicate for strenuous chores, and her tender age precluded the possibility of selling her to the lucrative markets of a brothel.

In this disheartening reality, she found herself caught in the merciless grip of the trafficker’s hands, unwanted and overlooked by those who could have made a difference.

The absence of outstretched hands or compassionate glances compounded the isolation that clung to her like a shadow.

"What are you crying for? Didn’t I tell you not to make a fuss when I am doing business...useless piece of shit who can’t even bring some profit." The trafficker was angered by the little girl’s wailing. Her piercing shrieks were annoying and useless in his ears.

The heartless cruelty of the trafficker echoed through the desolate marketplace as he berated the sobbing girl with callous disdain.

His venomous words, laced with contempt, cast a dark shadow on the innocence that dared to express its anguish.

The little girl, already battered by the merciless kicks, found herself subjected to a verbal assault that cut through her tender soul.

The trafficker’s heartless scolding, devoid of empathy, painted a stark contrast against the backdrop of her tear-stained face.

Each word flung at her was a dagger, carving wounds deeper than the physical blows she had endured.

In the face of such heartlessness, her cries became a poignant symphony of despair, a futile melody in a world that had abandoned the notion of compassion.

The marketplace, that Zach once considered to be a place where transaction of goods took place, now had a different meaning in his eyes. He was being forced to stand witness to the stark reality of this world where the trafficker was reveling in the dehumanization of a defenseless child which was akin to the degradation of all humanity.

The scalding rage within Zach’s core blazed with an intensity that transcended the boundaries of time and space.

In that harrowing moment, he found himself transported through the annals of history, empathizing with the fervent struggles of those who had fought tirelessly to abolish the shackles of slavery in his own world.

The flame in his stomach was not merely a visceral reaction to the cruelty unfolding before him; it was a recognition of the collective pain and suffering borne by countless souls throughout the ages.

The echoes of past injustices reverberated within Zach’s consciousness, forging a connection to the valiant advocates who had risen against the dehumanizing chains of oppression.

As he bore witness to the heart-wrenching scene in the marketplace, he became a conduit for the indignant voices of abolitionists, feeling the weight of their battles and victories.

Disgust welled up within Zach as he surveyed the indifferent faces of the human populace. In a world already tainted by racial animosities, he could understand the complexities of overcoming deep-seated prejudices.

Yet, what gnawed at his soul was not just the prevailing racial tensions, but the stark absence of empathy even in the face of a defenseless child enduring unspeakable humiliation.

It was a poignant reminder that, irrespective of the fantastical realms or worlds one inhabited, the flaws of humanity persisted.

The collective apathy toward the plight of the little girl cut through Zach’s core, leaving him disheartened by the apparent absence of compassion.

Terrified to her core, the little girl quivered in fear at the mere thought of her current master. His ominous presence loomed over her like a dark cloud, casting a shadow that eclipsed any glimmer of hope.

In his ruthless demeanor, she saw a monster devoid of mercy, a figure capable of unleashing unrestrained brutality at the slightest provocation.

Every beat of her heart resonated with trepidation, knowing that the lashings of his cruelty could rain down upon her fragile frame without warning.

The specter of abuse hung heavily over her, a constant companion in the harrowing existence she endured.

In the caverns of her fear, she longed for a reprieve, a respite from the relentless torment inflicted by the heartless master who had become the architect of her nightmares.

He had no qualms about hitting her mercilessly if he wanted to vent. He was a monster that she couldn’t help but be afraid of.

The echo of the heartless kick lingered in her trembling form, shattering the fragile remnants of hope that had briefly illuminated her desperate predicament.

As she contemplated the ominous prospect of returning to the clutches of her merciless master, a wave of dread washed over her like a relentless tide.

Her mind, a battleground of apprehension, conjured visions of the unspeakable torment that awaited her if she remained unsold.

It was as if the brutality inflicted upon her had woven an invisible tapestry of restraint, each thread constricting her frail body in a snake-like hold.

The life force within her, once vibrant, now lay subdued, held captive by the trauma inflicted upon her frail frame.

In that harrowing stillness, the silent plea for release echoed, a cry for liberation from the invisible chains that bound her in a cruel hold of suffering. Alas! No one could hear the sound of her soul calling out for help.

In reality, the little girl was too frightened to cry. Her mind was blank. There were no thoughts of escape, no hope of finding a new master and no wishes for the future.

All she could think about was how to keep herself from crying so as to not anger her master any further.

Brittany recognized all too well the familiar signs in the little girl’s actions. The echoes of her own past reverberated through the silent tremors and fearful glances.

She intimately understood the horror of it all, having once been a reluctant participant in such a situation herself.

The haunting memories of her own experiences with terror and the torment of a trembling soul surged to the forefront of her consciousness.

In the shared language of vulnerability, Brittany felt a profound connection with the young girl, a silent understanding woven from the threads of their parallel ordeals.

The ghosts of past fears whispered through the air, linking their stories in a silent symphony of shared anguish.

Her previous masters had all been like that as well and she had endured all that while maintaining the facade of a graceful princess and while tending to their lustful fetishes at the same time.

As hope flickered like a fragile flame, Brittany clung to the possibility of a miracle, a chance to break the cycle of brutality that had defined their lives.

She understood the harsh reality that awaited the girl if she remained entangled in the merchant’s clutches. The desperation for a better fate, for a chance at liberation, resonated within Brittany’s heart, pushing her to seek a sliver of mercy in a world that seemed unrelenting.

Despite how difficult it was becoming for Zach to do something for the little girl, she hoped that a miracle would save the little girl somehow.

Though it looked like she was doing it out of the goodness of her heart, there were still selfish motives involved. Humans were greedy by nature after all.

Brittany hoped that aiding the little girl might help her forget the horrors of her own past, if she managed to put a smile on the face of the little girl with her efforts.

The hope was slim as the trafficker was too stubborn and malicious. He was clearly going against Zach.

Therefore, she had even little hope that he might listen to her or succumb to her threats.

She could only grit her teeth while trying to hide the hatred that was painfully obvious on her visage.

The merchant, driven by a perverse desire to provoke a reaction from Zach, continued to plumb the depths of cruelty. It was as if he reveled in the malevolent dance of power, using every tool at his disposal to goad Zach into taking action.

The relentless assault on the little girl’s dignity and the blatant disregard for her well-being were calculated moves aimed at pushing Zach to the brink.

It was a stark reminder of human nature and how far a human could descend into the abyss of depravity, leaving a trail of despair and outrage in their wake.

The tension in the air thickened as the merchant continued his macabre performance, testing the limits of Zach’s restraint.

When all else failed, the merchant had no choice but to take more drastic measures to irk Zach. As such, he shifted his attention to Brittany who was standing behind Zach.

The merchant made the effort to bend his body in an unnatural shape and leaned forward to leer at Brittany from behind Zach.

He shamelessly began to stare lasciviously at Brittany’s bountifully soft and plump ass as if he wanted everyone in the audience to know exactly what he wanted to do to her.

Brittany was the first to feel his lustful intent as women were the most sensitive even towards sultry glances that had bad intentions behind them. She scrunched her little nose in disgust and turned her face away from him.

Even though she had averted her face from the disgusting merchant, she could still feel his lustful gaze piercing her from the back.

Growing uncomfortable with his stare, she took a few steps back until she was practically hiding behind Zach.

It was only then that Zach noticed what the merchant was up to, and his blood boiled.
