Chapter 1597 -63: Assistance from the Wind Prince

Outside the Light Cocoon, Su Xiao took a deep breath and fully drew out Dragon Slash. With these two strikes, his arms were completely numb and needed a rest, otherwise, it would affect his continued wielding of the sword.

With arms temporarily unusable, Su Xiao still had his legs. The Spirit of Wood clung to his calf, and the Kinetic Boots activated. Su Xiao bent over and crouched, gathering power for 2 seconds, and then delivered a side kick to the Light Cocoon.

Thump!

A blast wave spread around, sweeping away the debris on the ground. The Light Cocoon had strong defensive power against sharp weapon cleaving but was somewhat weak against blunt attacks.

The Light Cocoon flew towards the inside of the mountain as if it were a mangled meat bun with a whoosh.

Boom!

It was as if explosives had detonated inside the mountain, and stones flew out like a celestial maiden scattering flowers.

Inside the Light Cocoon, Mo Yi·Nora spat out blood with a “wah” sound. Her frustrated expression seemed to say, “Just wait until I get out.”

Clink!

A crisp metallic collision sound followed, and Su Xiao pulled the bolt of the Duke of Extinction. He then aimed and fired in one smooth motion.

With a bang, the recoil of the Duke of Extinction sent dust rising half a meter around Su Xiao, and an Earth Attribute Bullet was discharged.

Another loud boom came from inside the mountain, but it was not over; Su Xiao continued pulling the bolt, firing shot after shot into the mountain. The Light Cocoon was constantly distorted by the shots, showing poor cleaving effect but being highly effective against blunt force.

While Su Xiao was firing one shot after another at the Light Cocoon, a fully black figure leaped down from the edge of Mist Valley. The humanoid creature, nearly four meters tall, had tracked its way here.

The humanoid creature leaped into the lava at the bottom of the valley. With a sizzle, a plume of smoke rose, but the creature paid no mind to the lava’s temperature beneath him.

The humanoid creature was named Zang Ge, a Void creature from the Middle Layer of the Abyss from a combat race, capable of adapting quickly to harsh environments, even surviving in an oxygen-free environment.

Standing at a height of four meters, Zang Ge was imposing. His entire muscled body appeared iron-forged, exuding an oppressive aura just by standing there.

Having tracked this far, Zang Ge was visibly displeased; it was dissatisfaction with his prey. He practically circled the entire continent, starting from a teleport at the eastern part, then to the depths of the east, into the Central Plains, and even reached the western Westport, only to find a dilapidated castle there.

Today, he finally tracked the prey. As a Bajing Clan, he was confident in his tracking skills; of course, it was just his own perception.

Perceiving the prey’s aura not far away, Zang Ge’s lips seemed to twitch upward, but he suddenly remembered that he was a mercenary assassin in the Void, incapable of showing emotion—he was cold and unfeeling.

With his entire body rippling with muscles, determining he was in good condition, Zang Ge leaped up.

Boom!

Just upon leaping to the high recess of the mountain, a loud noise reached Zang Ge’s ears. He saw his prey wielding a heavy sniper rifle, wildly blasting into the mountain.

Zang Ge also knew how to use heavy firepower weapons, though his performance in this regard was not outstanding among his kin; sniping prey 2-3 kilometers away was not a problem.

“Annihilator!”

Zang Ge shouted, halting the gunfire. Su Xiao turned to look at the hulking man not far away—no, it should be an unknown creature.

Based on initial observation, Su Xiao judged that this four-meter-tall figure wasn’t a native of the Dark Raven Continent, for its aura was quite abnormal.

This sense of abnormality felt familiar to Su Xiao. Recalling the words ‘Annihilator,’ the visitor’s identity became apparent: a Void creature!

Su Xiao furrowed his brows; the situation had become chaotic. Inside the Light Cocoon, Mo Yi·Nora was an unknown entity about to emerge, and now another Void creature appeared. Judging by its gaze, it clearly wasn’t here to help him deal with Mo Yi·Nora.

Upon a careful observation of the Void creature’s appearance, Su Xiao thought of a combat race: the Bajing Clan, with their pitch-black exterior, humanoid form, hairless bodies, and metallic sheen.

Although Su Xiao didn’t fully recognize all Void Races, his experiences at the Demon Castle, as well as information from the Succubus Lilim, left him knowledgeable on many of them.

Su Xiao couldn’t yet confirm if the current figure was from the Bajing Clan because it was unusually tall. Usually, members of the Bajing Clan stood around three meters tall, at most three and a half meters. At four meters, this massive figure would clearly qualify as a Little Giant.

“Bajing Clan?”

Speaking, Su Xiao squeezed the trigger, and the gunfire roared. He intended to stabilize the Void creature first, attempting to finish off Mo Yi·Nora with the Duke of Extinction.

“Correct.”

Zang Ge slightly raised his chin, appearing proud of his identity as part of the Bajing Clan.

“Sent by the Arcane Eternal Star?”

Su Xiao fired another shot.

“That’s a guest’s privilege.”

Upon hearing Zang Ge’s cold response, Su Xiao confirmed that he had been hired by the Arcane Eternal Star, relieving half the burden on his mind. The Bajing Clan was reputed as a mercenary or assassin clan in the Void, notorious for their inability to labor or produce. Note, it wasn’t that they didn’t want to, it was that they genuinely couldn’t.

Their main livelihood came from assassination commissions. These guys were notoriously poor in the Void, but also notorious for their combat abilities, yet also known for their simplicity in matters unrelated to combat.

Su Xiao glanced at a cross-shaped scar on Zang Ge’s upper arm, indicating that he had just come of age, possibly still training within the Black Abyss before accepting commissions.

“Annihilator, are you ready to face death?”

Zang Ge clenched his fist—boom—a sonic boom echoed, showcasing his incredible grip strength.

…

In the Void, within the Arcane Eternal Star, inside a nearly thousand-meter-high magic tower.

The view was filled with a kind of blue crystal, terrifying elemental magic energy transmitting within it, ultimately converging at a point.

Crack, crack, crack…

The crystal broke, and a pale arm stretched out of the blue crystal.

“I meditated for this long?”

The woman within the crystal spoke, as the crystals around her shattered. With a wave of her hand, a steaming cup of tea appeared.

“Luna, recap what happened while I was meditating.”

As the woman made a gesture to sit, a chair appeared behind her, ignoring gravity as it floated in mid-air.

“Honorable Sage, recently…”

A Little Elf penetrated the space, beginning to chatter about recent events, while the woman sipped tea and flipped through a thick book simultaneously.

“Wait, you just mentioned an Annihilator appeared outside the Void? And entered an unknown world?”

The woman’s hand paused mid-page, and she, known as Seraphilia, called the Mage Sage, was a significant figure within the Void.

“Indeed, madam, the Wind Prince has already dispatched people; after all, he has had contact with that Annihilator.”

“Who was sent? Such opposition is not easily penetrable.”

“Reportedly, it was an assassin hired from the Bajing Clan.”

The Little Elf, speaking, circled around Seraphilia, leaving a trace of light particles in mid-air.

“Bajing Clan?”

The previously composed Seraphilia stood up.

“Indeed, madam, the Bajing Clan is strong; there should be no problem, right?”

“…”

Seraphilia’s expression darkened; the Bajing Clan was strong, no doubt, but they were also incredibly foolish. This left her puzzled as to why the Wind Prince personally took on this task, knowing him for his notorious reclusiveness.

What Seraphilia didn’t know was that Su Xiao and the Wind Prince shared quite a close relationship, having partnered in the Void Colosseum to con many and fight alongside each other.
