Chapter 1433: Chapter 55: Strongest 4th-Tier Cunning Old Fox

Lubei City, within a three-story building, several Contractors looked bewildered as they watched Rube’s Embrace gradually collapse.

"Is it necessary...to go this far? What’s the point?"

"There’s no logic with madmen; either hand over the World Core or fight them to the death. This is just a greeting."

"Posturing."

"Look, look over there..."

A female Contractor’s lips twitched as she saw a swarm of insects densely covering the buildings across half the city.

Within less than half an hour, Lubei City no longer appeared calm and peaceful. In Apocalypse Paradise’s plan, they intended to engage in urban warfare with Reincarnation Paradise within the city. However, judging by the current situation, some lunatics from Reincarnation Paradise seemed poised to flatten the city.

Moreover, something even more astonishing happened to the Apocalypse Paradise Contractors—they received notice from those with influence within ZF West Sisbane, stating that ZF was evacuating the civilians from Lubei City.

Assaulted, West Sisbane’s upper echelon’s immediate thought wasn’t retaliation but civilian evacuation. It was a choice they made out of necessity.

Qing Ye offered them two options: one was to evacuate all civilians from Lubei City, and the other was for the capital to be bombed with toxic gas bombs, a choice of one of the two.

Initially, the leaders of West Sisbane found Qing Ye laughable until an unexploded toxic gas bomb landed in the capital of West Sisbane.

With a tone tinged with humor, Qing Ye negotiated with West Sisbane’s leaders, saying, "We’re not devils, I’ll give you five minutes to think. After these five minutes, more than 100 gas bombs will be dropped on West Sisbane’s capital."

The gas bomb inserted in the capital’s ZF Building was no joke, and West Sisbane’s leaders compromised for their own and their families’ lives.

Crash!

Rube’s Embrace fell, crushing a large area of buildings, causing dust clouds to rise tens of meters high.

City Center.

Thud, thud, thud...

A machine resembling a pile driver was operating at high speed, emitting waves of pulses. Civilians impacted by these pulses instinctively fled the affected area.

Several civilian corpses lay crushed under the building debris. A man dressed in a suit sat atop the rubble, covering his nose and mouth with a handkerchief.

"Boss, almost done."

Ghost Lady’s lips curled up; her dark lipstick-covered thin lips gave off a ruthless vibe as the shockwave blew her long hair.

"Hmm, try not to affect the civilians; as I’ve said before, we’re not devils. Besides, we’ve already reached an agreement with West Sisbane’s ZF."

As Qing Ye spoke, debris flew nearby, and a man adorned as a People’s Teacher, covered in dust, stood up, two children sheltered in his arms.

"You’re actually saving people? That’s comforting. By the way, what you’re doing is considered good."

Qing Ye coughed a few times, making one suspect he had a glass body.

"I can’t understand good and evil, I’m just doing what I feel like."

The People’s Teacher ignored the two children frightened by the shockwave. This guy almost had no sense of morality, merely doing what he wanted. Sometimes he rescued people, but sometimes his actions were so shocking they made even the cunning old fox Qing Ye tremble.

The most terrifying wasn’t the cunning old fox, but the People’s Teacher’s character. His attire signified that he was either cunning or as monstrously powerful. Clearly, the People’s Teacher belonged to the latter. Ghost Lady, his teammate, dared not oppose his words, knowing she was a core member of Arakawa Adventure Group.

"Have you found that guy?"

Qing Ye asked, and the People’s Teacher shook his head.

"He got away, but we can confirm he’s within the city. Somehow, he masked the World Core’s pulse. It’s traceable from afar, yet within a ten-kilometer range, it disappears."

The People’s Teacher spoke in a near-emotionless voice.

"That guy is from the Space series; it’s not surprising he could do that."

Qing Ye crossed his arms, pondering something.

"Boss, what about the other people from Apocalypse Paradise? These individuals are Fourth-tier Contractors. Being careless could lead to a downfall."

"Careless?"

Qing Ye looked puzzled at Ghost Lady.

"Do you feel Solomon’s previous actions belittle Apocalypse Paradise’s people?"

"Solomon certainly wouldn’t; he’s a Mage Lord. He gives it his all against any foe."

Ghost Lady grinned, sincerely admiring Solomon the Mage Lord, who’s neither arrogant and faces every enemy with full force.

"Do you think Gulu, Citrus Sister, Bai Ye, and Mizaki rushed here recklessly?"

"Uh~ Not really, just as a precaution."

"That’s our advantage. Though we’re not united, these people crawled from heaps of corpses. The flowers of the greenhouse are indeed splendid, but they can’t fathom our mindset. We either win or die. Now, let’s greet the friends from Apocalypse Paradise."

Qing Ye took out his pocket watch, an ’honor’ he received in Sun Kingdom.

"It’s about time to amplify the frequency."

"Boss, we might inadvertently harm our own people."

Ghost Lady said this, but she was already adjusting the machine resembling a pile driver.

"Anyone harmed isn’t considered one of us."

As soon as Qing Ye finished speaking, a shockwave struck, activating the device in his ears.

Thud! The shockwave spread.

Over one-third of the buildings in Lubei City showed cracks; this impact would continue over 30 more times.

The entire Lubei City was shaking. On the beachfront, sand suddenly bucked, then slowly fell, as waves rippled across the sea, and great waves rolled back into the ocean.

Qing Ye didn’t want to destroy buildings; the guy intended to trigger a tsunami to fundamentally prevent West Sisbane military reinforcements.

If any Apocalypse Paradise Contractors were mixed with civilians, identifying them wouldn’t be easy. Some of them developed ties within Lubei City, having some local influence and leveraging their strength against Reincarnation Paradise.

However, as Reincarnation Paradise stormed in, they nearly flattened Lubei City, rendering Apocalypse Paradise’s strategy of relying on local forces moot.

Their carefully prepared urban warfare and numerous encirclement formations, along with civilian cover, became a joke in the impending tsunami. Fighting in narrow streets during a tsunami? It’s impossible.

Qing Ye understood clearly that Reincarnation Paradise wasn’t united; Apocalypse Paradise was, on the other hand, relatively cohesive.

Qing Ye sought to scatter the battlefield, ensuring that Apocalypse Paradise’s Contractors couldn’t regroup, forcing small-scale battles amidst the natural calamity of a tsunami.

On the beach, Su Xiao closed the war channel. He saw Qing Ye’s plan unfold within it. It must be said that the strongest Fourth-tier cunning old fox was no pushover.

"Aaah—"

Bubu Wang howled, disliking the pulse wave; it was too ear-splitting.

As Su Xiao prepared to traverse the beach into Lubei City, a small shadow walking on the sand caught his eye.

"Hmph!"

The small figure snorted, trying hard not to look at Su Xiao to avoid getting riled up.

"Woof."

Bubu Wang barked, meaning: "Hello, little dwarf, long time no see."

The diminutive figure in a red children’s outfit raised a middle finger. Su Xiao had coincidentally met Gulu on the beach, enemies meeting, exchanging ’greetings’ and expressing ’friendliness,’ quite ’united.’
