Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 587: Attack From All Sides

Chapter 587: Attack From All Sides

Godly's BBQ Restaurant

Shortly after exiting the hospital, Allison and Xu Feng arrived at this restaurant.

"Let me be clear. I'm definitely not eating because you got me right or anything." Allison said in a stern voice, her eyes gazing at the menu of numerous prime steaks.

"Yes, I'm just craving for some BBQ, so can we stop talking about that topic?" Xu Feng smiled bitterly and asked.

Throughout their journey here, Allison kept on emphasizing the same thing while she was driving him here. They were here to help him regain stamina and more protein, stating that protein beef sticks aren't enough.

It was to the point that Xu Feng nearly wanted to return to the hospital and avoid her emphasis. Additionally, Xu Feng could finally understand why Ning Yi wanted to avoid living with her at all cost.

Who would want to deal with her daily?

However, it was precisely because Xu Feng had gotten a taste of what it was like to interact with Allison on a daily basis that made him want to strangle Ning Yi even harder.

That damnable Ning Yi dared to push such a land mine to his side to escape on his own?

Jokes on him!

He won't be able to escape the blast radius!

"Wow, there's so many good options," Allison exclaimed, unsure of what to order.

"If you don't know what to order, then shall I do the ordering? It's your treat after all." Xu Feng chimed in and confirmed that she would be the one to foot the bill.

"Sure, you do the ordering and grilling. As the person paying, I can't possibly be the cook as well, right?" Allison shrugged and smirked, clearly catching his hint.

Though even if he didn't hint anything at all, she was going to pay for the food anyway.

The debt she owed him was simply far too big to be calculated. It was her life and not to brag, but her life was extremely precious— invaluable, to be precise.

Thus, she had long discarded her original intention and even began to treat Xu Feng as an equal, rather than just a student or a target of investigation.

'Now that I think about it… he's been talking to me informally since our first encounter.' Allison thought, gazing at Xu Feng who was calmly ordering food from the waiter. At first, she thought it was just an act to get her to leave in disgust, but it appeared that he had always treated her as an equal.

What was more confusing was that she didn't feel any discomfort when usually, she would have left without a word.

After all, his previous act in their first interaction was truly a sight to behold.

'Maybe I just have a huge talent in the sixth sense and know he's just special.' In the end, Allison stopped overthinking too much and just prepared the sauces for the upcoming meal.

"Doctors say you can't eat anything spicy, so you can only have this mild sauce." She commented, taking all the good sauces for herself.

"..."

Glancing at the plain and mild sauce being handed to him, Xu Feng wondered if she was just messing with him.

"Whatever you say." He sighed and gave up trying to argue with her. Sauces were merely condiments.

The main point was the marinated steaks that the restaurant had to offer. And for a restaurant to cost that much, Xu Feng expected nothing but the greatest. Otherwise, he would gladly rain hell on them for giving him garbage.

As they waited for the food to arrive, Allison finally got to notice that Xu Feng was living right next to her.

"Oh my, I didn't expect you to be that capable." A look of astonishment appeared on Allison's face, clearly not anticipating Xu Feng to live at the Apex Tower.

Aside from her astonishment though, there contained a lace of doubt, almost as if she believed Xu Feng was capping.

"I don't own the condo, but rather just a small tenant in the room." Xu Feng explained softly.

Realization dawned upon Allison, but nevertheless, she was still skeptical.

'Who would rent out a room for someone if they could afford to live in Apex Tower?' Allison wasn't unaware of the type of complex that the Apex Tower was. Therefore, she found it hard to believe someone who willingly rented one of the rooms out to another person.

The more she pondered over this, the more confused she was. In the end, she decided to focus on the steak that the waiter brought over, choosing to think about it once they headed to Apex Tower.

"I want the steak to be medium rare, Feng," Allison instructed as Xu Feng grabbed at the tongs to begin putting the steak on the hot grill.

"I got it. So just be patient." Xu Feng mused.

Time quickly passed by and Allison became very stuffed. She proceeded to hand over the car keys to him after she paid the bill.

"The food was good, but it's lacking something." Allison then commented.

"Food is food." Xu Feng shook his head and opened the door for her to enter.

Sometime later, he hopped on the driver's seat and began driving them. "By the way, have you finished moving all your things to your new condo?"

"Hoh, are you planning on helping me?" Chuckling, she smiled and continued, "Uncle Ning Huo already had people move everything for me, so you're a bit too late for that."

"Is that so?" As Xu Feng nodded in understanding, his eyes narrowed at the side mirror.

There were numerous cars following them behind and he recognized them to be the same from the hospital.

"Did you also arrange some bodyguards to protect you?" He calmly asked, trying to figure out the situation.

"Bodyguards?" However, Allison seemed confused and tilted her head. "Although I experienced near death, I hate being followed so I didn't hire any bodyguards if that's what you're asking about."

"So this is another attack from all sides huh." Hearing that, Xu Feng then pointed out they were being tracked by multiple cars.
