Chapter 511: Ning Yi’s Warning
Chapter 511: Ning Yi’s Warning
Going back five minutes earlier, prior to Carmen's explosive damage output, Xu Feng had detected that Sentinel was shifting his phase rather quickly.
For once, Xu Feng finally felt his raid members were actually elite, given their efficiency in cleansing the lava terrain.
Not to mention, the Tanks were starting to display their full strength, consistently hindering and rotating in time to ensure the Sentinel could not deal any devastating damage.
Without a doubt, at their current pace, Xu Feng could calculate the Sentinel would die within 10 minutes or so.
And given the Sentinel's intelligence, it should also know its chance of winning was slim. After all, it had lost all its bodyguards, with the remaining ones being blasted by Carmen.
As the Sentinel got interrupted once again by another Tank, it finally reached a breaking point. Unwilling to be pestered by these ant-like humans anymore, the Sentinel roared and began expanding its mana.
'The mana is going toward…' Xu Feng narrowed his eyes as he understood the Sentinel was commencing its phase 3, Stone Sentinel Awakening.
The mana that was being expanded wasn't a strength increase or anything devastating like the molten core eruption, but rather a reinforcement call.
Its mana was expanding to the walls where elite mobs are embedded, in hopes of awakening them to join the fight.
Simultaneously, the Sentinel's speed and attack frequency would surge to a new height, with the cost of its durability decreasing as chunks of its body begin to break off.
Since being durable wasn't effective enough, the Sentinel sacrificed its defense in exchange for more damage and offensive moves.
What was the greatest defense?
Such questions always come up when in a fight, and most of the time, people come to realize the greatest defense was going on the offense. By going on the offensive, why would you need to defend anymore when the situation would change to your opponent requiring defense?
By that theory alone, Xu Feng also knew they could not back off and go on the defensive stance. Otherwise, all the momentum and gains they had fought hard for would be gone in a puff.
"Tanks, by my orders!" Xu Feng raised his staff and shouted.
"Quickly form a V-shape formation and charge forward. I'll take the center, and its left and right sides shall be handled by you. We must not let it advance this line." He added, slamming his staff and drawing a straight line on the ground that had been softened by the intense heat from the lava.
The straight line he drew was the maximum distance they could allow the Sentinel to be in. Once it passed through that line, the raid would turn chaotic, and numerous deaths would occur.
After all, with the Sentinel's increased speed, it could easily appear in front of the weaker classes and kill them before moving to another area. It would be immensely difficult for the Tanks to even land a taunt skill to grab its attention.
Just like that, it was now the present tense, in which OneManMedia was stupefied by his Raid Leader's decision to rush forward.
"Is the Raid Leader trying to die once to make up for his earlier mistake?" OneManMedia swallowed a mouthful of saliva, wondering if Xu Feng wanted to make amends for the death of 18 players from earlier.
"The Raid Leader isn't someone to act like that." Suddenly, OneManMedia heard a voice from behind. Startled, he turned around and noticed it was the flirty Gunner, Stylish Shooter.
Although OneManMedia wanted to call him out on multiple occasions on why he even bothered to join the raid, Stylish Shooter seemed to have an unusual relationship with the Raid Leader. Not a romantic one of course, to those who love to think nasty, but a cooperative kind.
"What do you mean by that?" OneManMedia raised an eyebrow and asked curiously, his gaze subtly noticing Crystal was assisting the others in cleansing the lava terrain.
No wonder Stylish Shooter came to him.
'He got ditched so he came to me to clear his boredom.' OneManMedia disdained such a person who was unproductive and lazing around.
"Ahem, what I mean is that the Raid Leader I heard of wouldn't be mindful of what others think of him. He's the type to always advance forward and seek the most viable solution to a situation." Ning Yi, aka Stylish Shooter, cleared his throat and explained.
And he continued, turning his attention to the viewers in the stream. "Hello, dear viewers. You must be wondering what I am doing here, right?"
Baffled and perplexed, OneManMedia wanted to shove him away and not distract his work. However, he withheld his emotion and allowed him some leeway to see what he was up to.
After all, the person in front of him held the rank of Elite Member within the Vanguard Guild but had zero contribution or GMP whatsoever.
Ignoring the disdain on OneManMedia's face, Ning Yi remained nonchalant and smiled toward the viewers.
"Anyway, the Raid Leader has informed me to do this when he starts charging toward the Sentinel. It means the Fortress of the Fallen raid is reaching its finale soon. So those who are camping outside the dungeon, wanting to ambush us after a long and difficult fight."
As Ning Yi said up to that point, his expression turned cold and his demeanor changed. "I hereby warn you on behalf of the Raid Leader. Attempt the action at your own risk, but remember, if you proceed with it. Just know the Vanguard Guild isn't some cowardly guild to let the matter go."
Having said his piece, Ning Yi clasped his hands, his aura and demeanor returning to normal as he turned and left, chasing after Catherine.
"Crystal, wait for me to help you out. The cleansing water must be heavy for you to carry. I'll do it for you." Ning Yi exclaimed loudly as he left a baffled and stunned OneManMedia.
'He was actually here to deliver a warning on behalf of the Raid Leader?' OneManMedia could no longer comprehend the situation revolving around Ning Yi.

Not to mention OneManMedia, even some of the viewers who had been secretly spying and feeding information to the ambushers outside were stupefied by the warning.
