Chapter 390: Wei Xing
Chapter 390: Wei Xing
As Wei Xing's nervousness soared through the roof, Carmen was rather speechless.
She didn't know whether to find him pitiful or laughable.
'He's this scared already, so what would he do if he learned the person in front of him was Lin Feng?' Carmen thought, wondering the kind of scene it would create.
Alas, she was rather kind, unlike Xu Feng.
Instead of revealing the shocking truth and potentially frightening him to death, Carmen kept quiet and waited for XU Feng to continue the topic.
"There's no need to be overly nervous, Xing." Xu Feng chuckled softly. "We're all working under Lin Feng, so in a sense, we're all in the same boat."
"Ah yes," Wei Xing smiled awkwardly and promptly agreed with his words.
Meanwhile, Carmen rolled her eyes in response. 'Same boat? More like a pirate ship with you as the villainous pirate captain.'
Nevertheless, she kept silent about her true thoughts and said, "Anyway, Cool Wind, why did Lin Feng ask us to meet up here? Is there an important announcement regarding the Divine World's first major update?"
Truly praise must be given to her for how amazing she was in acting.
Xu Feng smiled lightly and began to explain, "The livestream that was announced through the help of Xing is already circulating. Our enemy and numerous rivals also subsequently announced they wanted to do a livestream as well."
Upon hearing that, Wei Xing, who had been nervous initially, started to speak up. "Those guilds are just wanting to ride the wind and copy the Vanguard guild's conduct. As for the Reaver Guild, I've expected that there be some form of retaliation."
Having said that, Wei Xing retrieved his phone and changed it to a hologram projection. "The Reaver Guild's main one operates in Ironspire City under the Valorian Empire. Their location is extremely far from Star Falls City, and resorting to a guild war would be detrimental."
The location between the two was far too massive, so transporting their elite guild members to disrupt the Vanguard guild's business was a foolish idea.
Aside from the cost of transporting members over there, just the fact that Star Falls City was under Vanguard's monopolization was already a big determent.
"Since a fight or disruption of business was invalid, they could only resort to copying our strategy and stealing the players away from us." Carmen snickered coldly.
Vanguard had already revealed that they were going to livestream to the people in a news broadcast.
Thus, it would dampen their authority and reputation if they were to back off.
With that being said, the Reaver Guild finally found an opportunity to not only harm the Vanguard but also gain more recognition. Such attitudes and mindsets were also aligned with many other guilds who had thought of it.
Therefore, the current situation of battle or war was the upcoming livestream once the Divine World finished updating.
It was not a physical war, but a proxy war with the usage of livestream.
"Before coming here, I have received messages from some guilds who wish to collaborate with us for the livestream." Wei Xing suddenly brought up and named quite a few guilds, with the most notable ones being Silver Wind and Tyrant Fist.
"I'm not surprised by the Silver Wind guild's intention, but the Tyrant Fist guild as well?" Amused, Xu Feng didn't expect Herald Fist to seek a collaboration with him.
Hadn't Herald Fist been scammed enough and milked dry by him yet?
He still wanted to get milk dry by him further? Could there be any other fat sheep like Herald Fist?
'This world needs more people like Herald Fist.' Xu Feng thought to himself, finding it pitiful that there weren't as many fat sheep as there were for him to butcher.
"I've heard of those two guilds before, but why do they want to collaborate with us?" Carmen questioned. "The update remains mysterious and aside from the Guild Leader, we're all clueless here as well."
Despite saying that, Carmen meant that none of them knew what would happen once the Divine World became playable again.
How could one become prepared if they don't even know what they would face?
Wei Xing also knitted his brows at this problem. "I've tried to do some research before the game went into an update about Colossus, but I found nothing. I even tried to ask the other NPCs, but they all brushed me aside."
"The town NPCs didn't brush me aside, but they didn't know about the Colossus." Carmen chimed in. She was at one of the beginner towns when the update was announced, so she thought to ask a few town guards.
However, to her surprise, the town's guards looked at her confusingly.
It was clear that they were clueless about the matter.
Stay updated with empire
"Siege of the Colossus is a major event, but it's mainly targeting cities with huge amounts of resources." Xu Feng suddenly explained. "Beginner towns that are known for their low resources are not even considered a target. Not to mention, the distance between them is very large without the use of a Teleport Platform."
"That sounds reasonable, but how do you know the Colossus is targeting cities?" Wei Xing raised an eyebrow.
"Colossus is a species akin to the mythology titans, but also not quite. Some are large but some are small too, but one thing for certain. Their destructive power could easily two-shot a player under level 25." Xu Feng explained and revealed that information about it could be accessed through the City's Library.
Of course, one needed a certain amount of authority which was the Librarian's approval in charge of that specific library to access the information.
"Ah, so Guild Leader Lin Feng already obtained the necessary information. Heh, then those other guilds who want to livestream as well are done." Wei Xing smirked coldly.
Information was the key to victory, and he highly doubted the others had enough authority to access such valuable information when compared to Lin Feng. That was how high he rated his guild leader.
"Mhmm, so the discussion for today is not about the concern of others targeting us, but how we can capitalize on this and make them suffer," Xu Feng curled his lip upwards and grinned wickedly.
