Chapter 1590: Esports Tournament Part 17

A few minutes went by, and the majority of the players began to look at the bulletin board.

"Deliver materials for 100 contribution points. Depending on rarity, the highest one can achieve is 1,000 points."

"1 silver coin equals 10 contribution points. 1 gold coin equals 1,000 contribution points."

"Does that mean we just need to pay 5 gold coins to reach the eligibility?"

Some players already began to harbor thoughts of simply paying 5 gold coins to reach the requirement.

However, they were sorely mistaken if they thought it was that easy.

"Look at the bulletin board again. Each player can only complete the coin exchange contribution point once. Afterward, it’ll be no more!" A few people sneered at those who intended to pay their way to victory.

The Vanguard Guild was always known to be fair in its conduct. It always charged the rich more, but the poor a bit less.

But the majority of the time, the Vanguard Guild kept it in balance, in which everyone started at 0. There were ways to expedite them, but only by a small margin.

"Forget it, we might as well explore the newly updated Twilight Glades region."

"Those new terrains when the Super Guilds fought seemed interesting enough. We can use it to gain experience points too."

Soon, the collective players decided to work on exploration missions to gain contribution points. It also helped that the missions on the bulletin board gave an approximate location of the rare resources and specific monsters that dropped certain materials.

However, their expression quickly changed when a player stepped forward and asked a question.

"Uhh, I’m from the Silver Wind Guild. I wasn’t selected for an earlier entry because they heard I had an advanced slot."

"Hmm, you’re from the Silver Wind Guild?" Kailey raised an eyebrow. "Can you show me your status screen?"

Because they were in the city that was still under formation, players could automatically reveal part of their status screen that listed their name and affiliation.

Sure enough, the player had no concern and directly revealed their status screen.

"Indeed, you’re from the Silver Wind Guild." Kailey verified the information and gave him a special stamp.

"Okay, you’re qualified to access the new simulation. Just wait in line as usual, and the features will automatically appear."

"Thank you, Miss Kailey." The Silver Wind member was delighted and hurriedly gave his thanks.

When the others saw how they managed to bypass the contribution points requirement and even the paying session, they went amok.

"This is some bullshit!"

"How come they get to head in just because they are from the Silver Wind Guild? What kind of guild is that? I never even heard of it?"

"Isn’t the Silver Wind Guild from Dawnshire City? It’s a first-rate guild, but not that strong either, or considered the top-rated."

"What the heck is Dawnshire City?"

Many of them hailed from empires or more prestigious cities. Thus, they had never heard of Dawnshire City, which was considered a mid-level city.

"The Silver Wind Guild is part of the alliance with our Vanguard Guild. Hence, their members also get to enjoy some exclusive benefits." Kailey cleared her throat and explained loudly.

"What? They’re actually in alliance with the Vanguard Guild?"

"When was this? And how come the Silver Wind Guild gets to become an alliance?"

"Don’t ask me about that." Kailey shrugged. "If you want more details, please have your guild leaders or representatives send a message via the guild’s mail. I’m only responsible for letting you know what to do to gain access to the new simulation feature."

Without hesitation, many players contacted their guild higher-ups.

They wanted them to know about the situation.

This was certainly news to them, so they had to investigate which other guilds had made an alliance with them.

Meanwhile, those who were neutral but secretly got paid by Super Guilds to spy on their behalf began to send messages. These particular players weren’t considered spies, but mercenaries who worked for money.

Of course, the risk of being exposed and caught was tremendous.

But they would be hard to spot given that they only sent bits of information and were not actually working for the Super Guilds.

As news continued to spread, the Super Guilds who had participated in the siege against Haven Wind City became restless.

Ethereal Super Guild

"Just who is this Silver Wind Guild?" Team Leader Brim questioned his subordinates. Ever since he was ambushed by Eclipse Nova and lost a valuable supply, he had been reprimanded heavily.

Now was his chance to investigate the information in advance and deliver it to the higher-ups for redemption.

"If I recall, the Silver Wind Guild is led by a woman called Gentle Wind. Her real identity in the real world is said to be the heir of Feng Enterprise, Feng Qing Rou."

"Feng Qing Rou? Never heard of her." Brim frowned when the name was very unfamiliar. Nevertheless, he did a quick online search and discovered who she was.

"She does have some beauty, but the Feng Enterprise isn’t even worthy of posing a challenge to Ethereal."

It wasn’t just Brim who thought something wasn’t adding up.

How was it possible for a high-profile Vanguard Guild to ally with someone this mediocre?

"Did she sleep with Lin Feng?" Brim questioned aloud. Other than using her body to get some benefit, Brim seriously found it hard to believe Vanguard would ally with them and not some better guilds.

"She definitely slept with him." Brim’s subordinate commented. His eyes practically glittered when he saw the image and believed the Vanguard Guild Leader was lustful.

"We can publicize this and claim that the Vanguard Guild Leader sleeps with women in exchange for benefits."

Brim’s eyes flickered in delight.

"You’re right!" He clasped his hands.

"Who cares if it’s not true? Isn’t that what slander and defamation are? Spread it, but make sure it can’t be traced back to us! Oh, make sure that Eclipse Nova’s name is dragged in as well." He flashed a devilish grin.
