Chapter 1343: Divine World Version 2 Part 19
Shortly after PotionHoarder excitedly left the room and followed Kailey to the training hall, another person entered the room.
"Greetings, Boss," Lightning Blade arrived and greeted Xu Feng with utmost respect.
"No need for such formality." Xu Feng gestured for him to take a seat.
"Yes, boss!"
A few seconds later, Lightning Blade sat down with a somewhat nervous expression.
Who wouldn’t be nervous when the biggest boss of your guild suddenly summoned you?
Such a situation was equivalent to the president of a major company summoning a small employee into the president’s office.
’I was well behaved and never failed to contribute. It can’t be a demotion, right?’ Lightning Blade thought to himself.
"There’s no need to be so nervous." Xu Feng lightly said and continued, "I’ve summoned you here because I want to ask if you’re interested in becoming a small army captain."
"A small army captain?" Lightning Blade’s body jolted slightly. He was unsure what this implied. He was already a Team Captain for the elite team.
What difference was this and the small army captain?
"Do you know why those Lethal Corp members came to us and pleaded for forgiveness?" Xu Feng didn’t mind his confusion and changed the topic.
"Wasn’t it because they were all banned by the NPCs?" Lightning Blade scratched his head.
"And why did the NPCs do that?"
"Uh... because of the boss?"
"Well, I won’t keep you in the dark anymore." Xu Feng mused and sent relevant data to him.
A few minutes later, Lightning Blade’s eyes widened. His body trembled from the overwhelming information.
"Donating war horses and being granted an army camp..." He muttered in shock. The second update had just dropped, and the boss already made a ton of moves to gain ahead of others.
While Lightning Blade was pondering, Xu Feng continued to summon two more people.
In the blink of an eye, Crimson Heart and Zhao Kai, who had been absent for a very long time, arrived.
Their appearance stunned Lightning Blade.
’Isn’t this our absent Guild Commander?’ Lightning Blade glanced at Zhao Kai and was left with an awkward smile. After all, Zhao Kai was only around level 50s, whereas Crimson Heart was surprisingly at a high level of 73.
Crafting sure gave a lot of experience points.
"Why did you call for me?" Crimson Heart appeared annoyed that her crafting time was disturbed.
Almost everyone in the guild knows that if she had her status on Do Not Disturb (DND), it meant no contact. Even the Guild Leader knows the rule and never disturbs her time.
Unfortunately, this was Eclipse Nova we’re talking about.
Someone who is the boss of their guild leader and an honorary elder. Hence, Crimson Heart had to give him face and stop her crafting process.
"Are you interested in learning advanced crafting items?" Xu Feng mused.
Crimson Heart nearly yelled on the spot. What kind of ridiculous questions were those?
Why wouldn’t she want to learn advanced crafting items?
"Of course, I am." Crimson Heart answered solemnly. "I am dedicated to crafting. Almost more than half of the equipment in the Vanguard Guild was crafted by me."
Although she respected Eclipse Nova, she wanted to let the former know that she wasn’t some kind of member who could be controlled like some servant.
"Haha, you need not remind me." Xu Feng wasn’t offended by the tone. "I asked that question because I have an authority that can grant you access to the empire’s blueprint treasury."
"T-The empire?" Stunned, Crimson Heart nearly lost her balance. The Aetheria Empire’s treasury... which player didn’t covet it?
"So, are you interested?" He ignored her stunned expression and asked amusingly.
Crimson Heart nodded repeatedly like a docile pet.
She had always been eager to grab something from the empire treasury.
"Here’s your entry slot." Xu Feng swiftly handed the item to her. "You are an invaluable member of the guild. This isn’t what you deserve, but please make do with it for now. The current situation isn’t ideal for me to get you more."
Despite Xu Feng’s monologue, Crimson Heart’s eyes were glued to the permit token. Her mind was in a complete daze.
"Not at all, boss!" She said laughingly. "This reward is amazing. I like it very much."
Having said that, she stashed it in her inventory immediately. It was as if she were afraid Xu Feng might regret his decision and take it back.
"Anything else, boss?" Only when she secured the item did Crimson Heart return her attention to Xu Feng.
"Yes, I’ll need a large batch of equipment at a level around 65-70."
The army camp recruitment was all the players’ responsibility. This meant accommodation, food, shelter, and even equipment must be footed by the players.
Therefore, setting up an army camp was a very expensive thing. This was especially so if you needed to pay taxes for each NPC recruited.
And this kind of tax was a monthly payment. If you failed to pay the taxes, then a warning would be imposed, followed by an increased percentage in the taxes. The second time, there would be a severe debuff.
If one missed the tax fee for the third time, then the army camp would be forcefully recollected. Additionally, the players would be put into debt and barred from owning an army camp for half a year.
Thankfully, Xu Feng didn’t need to worry about these haunting taxes.
After all, he was forever exempted by taking advantage of the current situation.
"By large batch, how many are we talking exactly?" Crimson Heart asked curiously.
For some reason, she had an ominous feeling regarding this task.
And sure enough, her intuition would be correct.
"Not that much. I just want around 200 sets within a week." Xu Feng chuckled and raised two fingers.
Despite the casualness and lightheartedness, Crimson Heart’s brain short-circuited at this moment.
"2-200 sets and within a week??!" Her pupils constricted as she directly plopped to the ground, putting up a fainted expression. "I have been certified. Please find any hole to bury me there."
