Chapter 1293: Global Manhunt Part 17
Chapter 1293: Global Manhunt Part 17
Twilight Glades, Haven Wind Town
The moment Carmen made her presence clear, almost every player began sweating profusely.
Despite knowing who they were up against, when push finally came to shove, they became horrified.
"Shit, where’s the Tier 2 players?"
"Why are they on the ground kneeling too?"
Many Tier 1 players were livid when the Tier 2 players, who confidently boasted previously that they could handle the Demoness, cowered in fear.
Although not all Tier 2 were cowering, their inaction and near frozen-like state made it clear that they weren’t prepared for this dreadful oppression.
While the Tier 1 were whispering among themselves, Carmen didn’t let them continue.
SWOOSH!
A strong void force brushed through them, and nearly half of the Tier 1 players were swept away.
Their health points went straight to zero!
"Any more people want to stick around and find around?" Carmen’s voice resounded throughout the area.
Her question, however, was met in a deathly silence.
They weren’t even ready to face her until the harsh reality showed them what horror meant.
A large horizontal line of empty space was created, only filled with piles of corpses.
Amongst them, only one Tier 2 player remained within the zone of the void force.
However, their health point showed a staggering 30% proving how deadly the void force was.
’Hmm, this ultimate skill is quite handy.’ Carmen was testing out her ultimate skill to see how much damage she could do. The result was rather satisfactory.
In the meantime, beneath the battlefield, Zhang Jingyi’s eyes narrowed slightly at the destructive force.
’So this is the Vanguard Guild’s Demoness. I wonder what her hidden class is about.’ She glanced at her status screen and her hidden class, Serene Paragon.
This hidden class concept was a transcendent martial artist who embodies the paradox of peace and destruction. The Serene Paragon channels inner stillness to control the flow of battle, striking only when necessary, yet with devastating, inescapable precision.
Her power lies not in overwhelming force, but in unshakable calm, aura manipulation, and dual-force harmony: offense and defense existing in perfect balance.
Zhang Jingyi clutched her sword softly and was somewhat eager to have a fight with Carmen.
Still, she didn’t let her desire overwhelm her logical decision.
"People, snap out of your daze already!" Zhang Jingyi turned to the crowd and shouted.
"If you’re going to keep kneeling, then you might as well not join the siege or the global manhunt." She continued.
"The goddess is right!"
"We can’t just sit still and let the butcher knife swing on our necks."
These players thought Zhang Jingyi was persuading them to recompose themselves.
But little did they know, her main intention wasn’t to motivate them. Instead, she wanted them to remain in the field and not run away.
By ensuring they remain in the field, Carmen alone could easily eliminate them all and receive a large amount of kill loot.
To be more specific, they were waiting for the Guild War Order to finish covering the entire region.
While the situation remained chaotic in the town, elsewhere, Xu Feng’s pinged location had finally alerted the Tuning Bloom Guild.
"Hmm, there’s someone approaching us!" One of the scouts raised an eyebrow when they saw their system map.
There was a red dot that was continuously pinged and was fast approaching their area.
"This should be the global manhunt." Another scout who was more informed commented.
"We didn’t participate because this dungeon raid is more important. But if some fool wants to send their head to us for free, then it’s only right that we accept the gift."
They didn’t give much thought to it.
Their confidence was brimming as they personally made the decision to confront this fleeing coward without notifying the higher-ups.
After all, they had heard about the event and knew that the reward for killing the Vanguard Guild members was going to be juicy.
To summarize, they weren’t just confident.
They were greedy and wished to take the dropped loot for themselves.
Sometime later, Xu Feng paused his movement when he sensed three people up ahead.
To ensure his identity was kept hidden, Xu Feng wore a mask.
The pinging only exposed his location, but not his information.
"What’s the point of hiding when your bloodlust is so strong?" Xu Feng questioned coolly, his eyes shifting to multiple areas.
Each of the areas was precisely where the scouts from Tuning Bloom Guild were hiding.
"Your senses aren’t bad." Having been exposed already, the scouts didn’t attempt to embarrass themselves by staying still.
"You are quite the lone soldier." They snickered coldly, completely unaware of Xu Feng’s identity.
Because they were hyper-focused on securing and controlling the perimeter, none of them paid attention to the Game Forum.
Hence, they didn’t know it was Xu Feng in front of them.
This kind of situation was also something Xu Feng enjoyed.
’Seems like they don’t know about the situation.’ Xu Feng thought to himself. He had a reasonable suspicion that these people didn’t even bother to notify those raiding in the dungeon.
However, he wouldn’t blindly conclude things.
"You’ve set up an ambush on me here?" Xu Feng scratched his head and asked in a confused tone. "Are you here raiding a dungeon or a random boss? I didn’t think there would be people around the vicinity."
"Raiding a dungeon? Who is raiding a dungeon? We’re just here to earn ourselves a bounty killing!" One of the scouts snorted and denied any dungeon raiding.
"A bounty killing?" Xu Feng appeared taken aback. "You mean to claim that you predicted my escape plan and waited here all along to ambush me?"
"That is correct!"
"Do I look stupid?"
"No, but you look like a dork!"
"Ah, is that so?" Nodding, Xu Feng glanced at the scouts and kindly gave them advice. "Next time, make sure to not have any pointless chattering. Because it’s usually used for stalling."
"What stall are you talking about?" The scouts raised their eyebrows in disbelief.
But in the next instance, they quickly noticed their surroundings suddenly had some plant constructs.
