Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1241: The Director’s Acting

Chapter 1241: The Director’s Acting

A moment of silence occurred within the President’s Office at the Zhao Enterprise.

Two women sat with a solemn expression, both exuding a fierce killing intent.

"Where did you say this Xu Feng was residing in?" Feng Qing Rou crackled her knuckles and asked.

"He’s staying at one of my hotels." Zhao Xin smiled lightly and sent a text to Anna Liu to prepare her vehicle. Her eyes glinted in a cold light, her high heels tapping in a rhythmic manner on the floor.

"I don’t like violence, but I’m not afraid of it. Don’t you agree with me, Qing Rou?"

"Naturally! I can’t wait to pummel someone to death."

Needless to say, the two of them had their emotions going out of control from the bait and cliffhanger of the tenth episode.

It was titled poetry, but they didn’t even get to any of the exciting parts.

All they received was a fan service kiss moment between Xu Feng and Ding Xiao Yin.

Were they being treated like some beggars on the streets?

As if they would be satisfied by a mere kissing scene, but no other progress in the scene!

"Miss, the car is ready!" Anna Liu arrived at the office and said with an anticipated tone.

’Hehe, Xu Feng is bound to receive a thorough thrashing this time.’ She thought to herself. Similarly, she was able to watch up to the tenth episode like them outside the office and was equally pissed at the cliffhanger.

Therefore, when she received Zhao Xin’s order to prepare a car to head toward the Oasis Hotel, she could easily connect the clues together and determine Xu Feng was about to have an endless bad luck coming to him.

Little did they know, Xu Feng was already receiving bad luck.

Oasis Hotel

"Xu Feng, you must really want to die!" Carmen gnashed her teeth, her hand holding a pillow, threatening to swing it at Xu Feng.

"Why would I seek death?" Xu Feng cried aloud, his back facing the cold wall as he took cover behind a bed.

"The editing and titling weren’t even controlled by me. I’m beyond innocent."

This time, Xu Feng really didn’t know why Carmen would lash out at him.

They had just finished the tenth episode, and she suddenly threw a big fit.

At first, he thought she was enraged by his cheeky and frivolous behavior.

But then it didn’t make sense since she personally directed those scenes.

However, by the time Carmen kept trying to pummel him, he finally came to a realization.

Despite being the director, she herself must had become addicted like everyone else and became displeased by the misleading and infuriating cliffhanger.

And since the main culprit was right beside her. It would be a miracle if she didn’t lash out at him on the spot.

"Come over here and let me give you a few thrash. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being merciless when I catch you." Carmen beckoned with her fingers and said coldly.

Seeing how the usual mild temper Carmen had changed into such violent behavior, Xu Feng was truly terrified.

He wasn’t frightened by her, but by the audience who were currently watching his short drama.

’Fuck, I’ll need to wear a mask when I go out on the streets.’ He reckoned that it wouldn’t be long before his reputation tanked so hard that his image would become a public enemy.

After all, his current appearance was the only available outlet for these people to vent their extreme frustration.

Just when he was distracted briefly, Carmen managed to take advantage of the opportunity and got him. As she crashed straight into him, she wanted to swing the pillow at him.

Xu Feng could only watch the pillow about to land on him helplessly.

He didn’t dare to resist, lest he might accidentally injure Carmen. The improvement from his adventure in the Phantasm Sea was actually still affecting him.

Hence, he couldn’t be certain if he could control his strength well.

Unwilling to risk hurting her, he could only choose to close his eyes and receive a smack from her.

But a few seconds later, there was still no impact.

’Hmm, did she miss the strike?’ Xu Feng wondered silently.

He opened his eyes slowly, only to see Carmen pause her pillow midair.

"Are you not going to smack me?"

"Not anymore."

Shortly after saying so, Carmen turned her eyes to the corner and commanded through voice recognition. "Post the video where Xu Feng got chased and smacked by me online. That way, the netizens and those watching the short drama wouldn’t target him publicly anymore."

In the blink of an eye, an AI voice resounded. "Command received. Video has been posted."

Once that was done, Xu Feng’s eyes widened in shock.

"Y-You were acting earlier?!" He was dumbfounded by the situation.

Carmen flashed a cheeky smile in response.

She no longer displayed a violent temper and had returned to her original composure.

"What did you think? Was my acting great?" She giggled softly. "Having directed and watched you and the other actors filming. I learned a few tricks or two."

"Ugh, that is indeed some acting..." Exhausted, Xu Feng leaned on the floor.

He thought she had really become one of the fanatics. He never anticipated that she was actually acting and venting on behalf of the viewers.

With the video clip regarding their earlier commotion posted, Xu Feng was positive that he wouldn’t be targeted intensely anymore.

Moreover, he would also become a meme and the talk of the city.

Not only would the short drama continue to gain traffic, but his behavior would also garner quite the attention and sympathy from fellow viewers.

"Now, how do you want to thank me for averting the crisis for you?" Carmen asked, her body still sitting on top of him.

Xu Feng’s silent response also made her realize how ambiguous their current position looked. They would definitely be mistaken if someone stumbled across this particular scene.

"What do you want in return?" Xu Feng said and subtly tilted his head to avoid seeing her body as a sign of respect.
