’Damn, she’s got a point.’ Xu Feng couldn’t argue with that point.
What she exuded was confidence, and not arrogance.

"Very well," he nodded in agreement. "I might agree, but you still need to go through one person."
"One person?"
"Mhmm, you’ll have to earn the approval of Director Carmen. She’s the one in charge of the whole production, including my scenes. If she says yes, then nobody would dare to say no."
"Director Carmen..." Serena repeated the name and kept it to heart. She had heard about this name from the customers for a while now. They all feared yet revered her deeply. This goes to show that Carmen wasn’t someone simple.

"Anyway, grill me some more skewers." Xu Feng pointed at a few raw skewers and requested.
The ones she gave him were devoured already, but his stomach had yet to be filled.
"Are you going to pay?" Serena asked.
"Didn’t you say it was free of charge?" Xu Feng frowned.
"Yes, free of charge for the first batch of skewers." She nodded and continued, "If you want more, then you obviously need to pay up. Don’t tell me you think I got these ingredients for free? Moreover, don’t you know the time and effort required to put the ingredients into the sticks?"

Silent, Xu Feng had nothing to rebuke her. After all, it was indeed time-consuming to put the ingredients into a single stick.
One must repeat the process continuously to have a large batch of raw skewers ready to be grilled.
"How much is a batch then?" Xu Feng asked. He tried to look for the menu price, but realized she didn’t even have it labeled.

No matter how tasty the skewers were, at most, they should only cost around 40-50 dollars.
"Brother Feng, ah, Brother Feng." Serena clicked her tongue and shook her head.
"Do you think the skewers I’ve prepared for you are the same kind that I sold to your other employees?" She snickered and revealed another set of skewers.
As Xu Feng glanced at the set, his eyes widened in shock.
Those marbling in the meat were a complete far cry from the previous ones that she was grilling.
"Now, do you think the price I set was too much?" She teasingly asked.
"Way too little..." He honestly replied. With a single glance, he could discern that one skewer alone cost more than 500 dollars.
Not to mention, the special seasoning and cooking skill of Serena would legit elevate the skewer to a whole other level.
"At least you know how to be honest." Serena nodded in approval. She would have been extremely disappointed if Xu Feng dared to feign ignorance.
Given his cooking skill in the Divine World, Serena concluded that he also understood ingredients and their values.
This could be considered a small test of his character and whether he was truly worthy of the rumors.
"Anyway, help me move the stall to your filming set." Serena requested. "I reckon your scene is coming up soon, so let’s not delay it."

"Isn’t this the goddess who set up the stall on the outside perimeter?"

"Are you that starving for women?" She asked softly.
"Starving for women?" Confused, Xu Feng tilted his head and explained, "Serena is a chef, and she has the cooking skills. I’ve recruited her to cook us some delicious meals to regenerate our mentality and stamina."
"Just that simple?"
"Of course."
Hearing the explanation, Carmen sighed softly. She shifted her eyes slightly toward Serena and realized the woman indeed held no admiration for Xu Feng.
’Ugh, this Tang Sanzong is really attracting more and more demons.’ Without her knowing, Carmen realized she had so many competitors.
To think that her hesitation had ultimately resulted in such a predicament.
She couldn’t help but blame herself for lacking the courage.
"Feng, can you not be so charming?" Carmen pursed her lips and wanted to smack him in the head.
