Chapter 785 - 785: A fundamentally special kind of fight (part 7)

"Black Fierce Ancient Sea!", dark blue mana poured out of the good mermaid Karla as she manifested her domain which directly clashed against the demon execution guillotine that Aisha had created around her.

But to her displease she realized that she couldn't move even after unleashing her domain, and for a good reason, there was demonite property in play here.

'Damn it, I had my doubts earlier, but yeah this is fucking antinite's mana dispersing capacity, she has visited one of "those" damn places, just where the hell did this bitch come from!', inwardly cursed Karla.

"Humph!", that being said, she increased the dark blue water mana waves gathering around her.

The blade of the guillotine was indeed stopped, but suddenly the guillotine started eating away at the good mermaid Karla's mana like crazy, to the point that a whole wave of the initial manifestation of her domain was devoured and used to reinforce the guillotine itself, making it look solider than before, to which Aisha chuckled in response.

"Countering a metal technique with darkness and water elements in front of an extreme positive lightning element user, it's not really your brightest idea, but to be fair, it's far from the worse decision you have taken recently, like getting in my darling's way for example", said the silver-haired vampire girl as she snapped her fingers.

"Hsssss!", violet and silver colored lightning arcs crackled above in the sky as Aisha added.

"Violet Empress Firmament, Silver Starfall".

That was the "empress" version of the technique Aisha used to force Arlion to stop cosplaying as being Terry's age and return to his real self, and while the purpose here was different, Aisha still used it to slap the enemy across the face.

Because seeing the world-ending amount of lightning spheres gathering in the sky to then explode and all descend in the direction of the good mermaid Karla, which thanks to the metal energy guillotine and her own both water and darkness mana, had basically become a lightning rod, the other Karla's couldn't keep up their pretension.

"It's not just antinite property, use your damn domains already!", shouted the good mermaid Karla as blood escaped from the corner of her mouth because she was trying to forcefully break free from the guillotine's restrains which was messing with her mana circuits.

"Domain!", both siren Karlas appeared above the good mermaid Karla which even as of current was still being kept prisoner by the demon execution guillotine, for a good reason, she was trying to break it with mana and the guillotine had antinite properties so, yeah, also this technique of Aisha was made to make it especially traumatizing for the enemy to be captured by it, that's the other meaning that the word "demon" in its name meant, not only it was because of the demonite energy property, but because it was really hard to escape from it.

"Black Fierce Shredding Sky!", the good siren Karla had dark green mana explode out of her body to then gather and form a dark green wind area, which had countless of wind currents fiercely attack Aisha's lightning discharges.

"Black Hell Slaughter Sky!", the evil siren Karla on the other hand ripped a breach on space with her claws and black-green wind mana emerged from it as well as from her body to then turn into a tornado that raised high into the sky, attacking the violet firmament and the silver lightning clouds in it directly.

"Booooom!", both domains initial manifestation clashed the descending lightning and the violet sky as well as the silver lightning clouds, which resulted in a loud explosion echoing through the battlefield.

At the same time, the evil mermaid Karla who has been doing "nothing" suddenly pressed her hands together and then the dark red trident from earlier emerged from the abyss below the battlefield, but looking differently.

"Black Blood Corrosive Trident", said the evil mermaid Karla, somehow the thing had stopped being a mana manifestation and had turned into an actual magic treasure with which she attacked the guillotine at the same time as the good mermaid Karla stopped using her mana to stop the blade from coming to meet her neck.

"Clang!", sparks and the sound of metals colliding were produced at the trident clashed with the guillotine's blade, but surprisingly this time without relying in a spell's support but only applying rules to it, given that the evil mermaid Karla could have boosted herself, because throwing an attack type spell at the guillotine or reinforcing the trident with mana, would have just made the guillotine absorb the mana of the spell to reinforce itself, the evil mermaid managed to destroy Aisha's technique.

"Crack!", that being said, the guillotine didn't go out without a fight, when it was shattered by the dark red trident, the blade exploded and turned into hundreds of sharp knives that rained down upon both the good and evil Karlas.

"Agh!", they managed to dodge the vast majority but cutting wounds were left on their arms and legs as they put distance between themselves and those two.

"Hoh, I thought you wouldn't be able to brak free from the demon execution guillotine without stopping being a single energy type user, but you actually triggered my Violet Empress Armory, Demon Knife Rain technique without "joining hands" with one of the other you", said Aisha, that was the name of the aftereffect of the demon execution guillotine.

The silver-haired vampire girl was of course talking about Karla going from being a normal mage, to becoming a battle mage, which of course was something she should be able to do, because come on, even Arlion did it.

But that's not what worried Karla right now, but what Aisha added the next second.

"On the other hand, to think you would rather take out a promise level treasure, did my demon execution guillotine scare you, the great "queen" from the black fierce sea that much?", said the silver-haired vampire mother with a disdainful voice.

Aisha's word especially made Karla's face burn, because she has demonstrated to know about her backstory thus in Karla's mind, Aisha must know that she… died before being crowned as a queen, so the highest rank she actually reached in her life was that of a princess.

And she didn't attain said status on her own, given that her tricks and other methods only allowed her to reach the highest echelon among nobles, but she couldn't jump to become royalty on her own, therefore she was a princess consort, not a princess by her own right.

In other words, she became royalty by connection, as she married a prince, if said prince had cut ties with her, she would have also stopped being royalty, and given her status, she had no place in the line of royal succession.

But let's not focus in that right now, but in the fact that the evil mermaid Karla was using a promise level treasure, it of course had to be the case, after all she without adding any mana nor using a boosting spell on herself destroyed Aisha's technique, a normal magic treasure would be unable to do that.

Don't forget that so far, the only treasures that could match up to the capricious sword and Narasha without being damaged after a few clashes, are promise level treasures and demonite has both disaster and Nasha's properties.

"It makes me wonder what kind of "achievement" did that guy obtained, to have given you enough origin through an unstable connection with a host to whom you are contracted in a temporary way, so that you could create a new promise level treasure", said Freya to which Aisha added.

"And that's just the one created with the share that was given to her, that guy got a new one as well, probably another trident given this weird obsession he seems to have with them, though", said the silver-haired vampire mother.

You have seen a system user wield more than one promise level thing, like Marcus with his grimoire and that dagger for example, but in his case, they weren't given to him by his system directly, because Lezabel hated him, so why would she help him in any way or whatsoever.

He got the chance to craft them himself and the result were a half-baked promise level skill and a promise level magic weapon with a limited number of usages.

In comparison, the trident was a proper promise level treasure and apparently said things could be used by administrators, or more accurately they could only use promise level weapons in specific, which is in part why the only time Freya has used a weapon it was the damaged crossbow which used to be Alicia's promise level treasure.

Well, that and because it was a memento of her late sister too, and even if she enters a contract with Daimon, she would use her first share of origin to repair it, even if she has no direct use for it, of course she'll make one for Daimon according to the guide of her system, which should result in either a new crossbow or a bow, as she is the heavenly archer system administrator.

The previous might be a system restriction so it is unknown whether it applies to Daimon and administrators contracted to him though, we'll see it later when the adaptation period for those contracted to him ends and the fun part starts.

But for now, you get the idea of how important promise level things are for both users and administrators now.

Ereth lost his original promise level treasure which was the trident of the storm, when Freya and Alicia killed him and severed his connection with his system, the thing was left in Kerrol where Ereth could not enter no matter how he tried, though he didn't know about it, otherwise he might have tried to invade Kerrol during his third return instead of focusing on the megalodon and the nethereals which were trapped in the layers of the seal.

Well, despite the obsession with the trident of the storm, Ereth might have not done so during his third round, because when he had lost his status as a system user, he was actually afraid of Freya, if the valkyrie stayed in Kerrol and he crossed paths with her, at his weakest ever point, chances are that she would have killed him even at the cost of her status as an administrator or her life if it was needed.

Luckily, Ereth's caution and his lack of knowledge regarding the whereabouts of his original promise level treasure, allowed Daimon to meet the valkyrie girl many years later and support her with his origin so that she was fine even after she fought with Karla's former other half.

"Damn it, Black Blood Corrosive Sea Frenzy Charge!", shouted the evil mermaid Karla as she flashed towards Aisha, she who was wielding a promise level weapon was the best option to deal with the strange energy that the silver-haired girl was using.

There is something that has been bothering me since earlier, I could understand it if Arlion was kept in the dark about antinite, but for an administrator to show surprise over seeing its effect being replicated by me, that's another completely different thing', thought Aisha.

As a magic metal enthusiast, she of course was interested in the previous, because it meant that antinite was rarer or harder to find than what one would expect, despite the relatively low rank of the four galaxies where it certainly is not exactly abundant, but at least one adult human sized piece is found once per year by the highest forces which have a half emperor or their equal backing them, after looking through a dozen or so of planets or stars without life.

It's worth mentioning that all said forces have to give a third part of their yearly antinite findings to Aura, because she is the one in charge of keeping Disaster in check, it would be worth to see their expressions if they knew that since a few years ago, their precious antinite has been used for other purposes or simply as a snack for the capricious sword, a plan that came from that cunning twilight alluring fox girl, Erin.

After all, Daimon only used Disaster in Gram form in the open, in any case Gram still retained disaster's abilities, they just couldn't be used to their maximum output, Disaster in its real form only appeared for enemies that would not live to tell the tale or in front of trusted allies.

"Conceptual Banner", Aisha was returned to the real world by Freya stepping in to intercept the evil mermaid Karla who had appeared above them, though she didn't directly used her domain as an attack mean like usual, she used it to increase her speed.

This indirect way was one of the ways in which disaster's property could be avoided, also it's worth mentioning that unlike the capricious sword and Nasha who was in control of it, Aisha couldn't directly affect rules with her demonite, also, regardless of if it was antinite or devil sea ore, neither were directly effective on rules as well, though they did affect the mana or battle aura which carried them like it happened with Arlion.

Which gave birth to the phrase of "A half emperor can't be restrained" in the four galaxies, at least until disaster appeared because hat thing could devour the main component or rules which is "laws", but only through direct contact and the capricious sword wasn't interested in that, it preferred energies or physically solid objects with special properties, Nasha liked to destroy other magic treasures though, so that dark red trident which carried the evil siren Karla's rule, would have been a perfect target for her.

Anyway, back to the fight, banners appeared above the evil mermaid Karla and Freya, they both had a set of words used before, which to the enemy's surprise was the "weapon" and "armor" one.

'Don't tell me…', the evil mermaid had a bad premonition which became true the next second when Freya gave the activation command.

"Conflict".

"Crack!", the banner above the evil mermaid Karla's head cracked and burned, which meant that her trident, a promise level treasure made after she recovered her status as an administrator… lost against Freya's armor.

"Booom!", the grey silver flames released by the banner hit the evil mermaid Karla head on sending her flying into the distance to then smack her against a piece of floating ground.

"You crazy bitch, you actually used a precious chance such as accepting your user to make an armor type promise level treasure instead of a weapon one!", cursed the good mermaid Karla from the distance, to then add.

"No wait, you had two users so far, so you probably also have a weapon".

Freya's armor was a promise level piece of equipment, which from Karla's point of view was a waste, their restriction only applied to weapons, they could use normal defensive and support type equipment, she also couldn't help but snort at Karla's second claim.

"I didn't expect a piece of trash like you to understand it, but did it never cross your mind how was your promise level weapon of back then destroyed by Alicia's bolt, while her crossbow ultimately rendered that guy's trident useless but was only damaged as a consequence?", said the valkyrie girl.

Which made Karla's eyes contract like needles.

"Y-You gave your user your own chance to craft a promise level piece of equipment!", said the good mermaid Karla with disbelief.

Alicia had "three" promise level treasures, the crossbow used to belong to her sister, with her "starting" gift, she had it repaired and adapted to her light affinity, the armor Freya wore was her own promise level equipment which she obtained when she became Alicia's sister's administrator.

And then, she should have gotten a second chance when she became Alicia's administrator but she used it for the sake of her host instead, and gave Alicia a promise level bolt for her crossbow, which ended up saving her many times and lastly took down Karla's own promise level treasure of back then, since the mermaid-siren didn't have a new user but just changed outer appearance and focused in the other part of her concept for the second round, she only had one treasure and it was destroyed alongside that bolt.

Then the twice forged crossbow gave Ereth's trident which had reached a higher level of development the beating of its life and was lastly used as a medium for Freya to use her severing ability, which is why it ended up damaged while the trident did recover to its initial state over time.

That victory they attained over Ereth was because Alicia and Freya bonded over the late sister they shared.

"Also, where are you looking", added Freya which made the good mermaid realize something, Aisha was not floating next to the valkyrie girl as of current.

"Boooom!", a thunder-like explosion made the good mermaid Karla's ears bleed before she was hit right in the middle of her chest by a silver flash.

"Aghh!", the impact sent the first Karla into the distance, and only then did the sound coming from Aisha casting her technique could be heard.

"Violet Empress Boots, Silver Shooting Star", the silver-haired vampire mother moved so fast that even when she casted the technique before using it, the activation and its effect became present before the sound of her words did so, also she had revealed another piece of the violet empress armor, unlike the gauntlet or vambrace the leg wear came in a pair though, perhaps because it was meant to be used with movement type techniques and it would be awkward to just increase speed in one leg.

The worst part is that only the evil mermaid Karla dared to charge at Aisha head on, because their mana was vulnerable against the white-silver energy she used, but then, Freya could easily attack that Karla.

"I told you, it was surprising that you didn't join hands, with another one of you but instead relied in a promise level treasure, perhaps it has something to do with the fact that your domains lacked the word "royal" in them", casually said Aisha as she looked at the good mermaid Karla from above, which made the enemy grit her teeth.

She didn't like the fact that the fight has been led by the enemy, when she is the one that makes other suffer, also Aisha was right.

Unlike the spells she was using before manifesting her domains, not only did the name of the domains didn't include the word "royal" but the same applied to the spells with the domains reinforcing their effects.

This is because she was too "incomplete" to use a royal level domain from her race while separated in four, which shouldn't have been the case, if she didn't lose half of her existence at Eve's hands.

'Why, why is a damn mortal outplaying me, she is not even a damn candidate so how can she be so fucking strong!!!', inwardly screamed Karla, she was going crazy here, so naturally she reached a stupid conclusion to protect her own ego.

'It's the damn blood prison realm, this stupid place is helping her because she is using those weird energies and I'm not… fine, then I'll just break through the restrictions directly!', she thought to then say.

"Benevolent Sea and Sky Unity!", with those words, the good siren Karla who was smirking, turned into a dark green wind current that then entered the good mermaid Karla's body.

"Boooom!", as a result the first Karla exploded in dark blue mana with dark green currents in it, which then changed into battle mana, which contrary to expected didn't surprise Aisha in the slightest.

Whys should it surprise Aisha you wonder, well, because the union of two mages resulted in a battle mage which doesn't make sense, so Karla expected to take the enemy by surprise.

Unfortunately for her, during a recent "girl's talk", Aisha was told a few interesting things by Eve, which even Daimon doesn't know as of current, like the fact that origin which is used to create things such as promise level treasures, and items in the system's shop, can be turned into both mana and battle aura.

Which in other words mean that an administrator can actually fight as both a mage or a knight, just one at the time of course, Eve has confirmed herself that the only person she had known to be able to be both at the same time instead of turning into either a magic knight or a battle mage, is Daimon.
