Chapter 783 - 783: A fundamentally special kind of fight (part 5)

"Hssss!", seeing the silver and violet lightning arcs crackling around Aisha's right hand which was now covered in an intricately designed violet energy gauntlet, the evil siren Karla couldn't help but think.

'Are you telling me that I need at least two focused spells to deal with a single of their wide area attacks, and so I will need at least four to do he same with a focused technique of theirs, who do you take me for!!!', inwardly screamed the evil siren Karla, just in time for Aisha to shot the javelin, which despite being called a "focused technique", was a stream of silver and violet lightning more than one kilometer wide.

"Black Hell Wind, Wailing Whirlwind Fist!", in response, the evil siren Karla's right arm exploded in black-green mana which then gathered on her fist as she threw a punch that released a lateral rotating whirlwind the same size as Aisha's technique.

"Boooooom!", the lightning stream and the whirlwind violently clashed head on, producing a strong shockwave, unlike what one would expect, the evil siren Karla's spell wasn't directly overwhelmed by Aisha's javelin.

That being said, she was indeed losing terrain as the whirlwind was pushed back by the lightning stream, still, the evil siren Karla only cared about the fact that Aisha's "arrogant" remark of earlier was proven wrong, because like previously stated, humiliation was worse for her than being beat up.

"Black Fierce Wind, Roaring Whirlwind Fist!", the good siren Karla jumped into the fight by also thrusting her fist frontwards, releasing a lateral rotating dark green wind mana current which joined the black-green wind whirlwind and ultimately achieved mutual destruction with it.

"Booooom!", as a result, both Aisha's javelin and the two whirlwinds exploded and turned into energy particles that floated between both sides.

"What do you say about that you arrogant bitch!", exclaimed the evil Karla to which Aisha casually answered.

"And here I was wondering why I wasn't seeing any "rule" applied to your affinities, turns out you didn't follow the elemental path either, or more accurately you lacked the capacity to achieve the power you wanted through yourself, so you relied in the hero method", said the silver-haired vampire girl, which made Karla grit her teeth, unfortunately Aisha didn't give her the time to reply.

"Mmm, the power to suddenly explode with higher strength out of "nowhere" that hero types are so fond of relying on to, it's indeed annoying, on the other hand if that's the case, then you won't die and ruin miss Freya's fun and my challenge so easily, right?", said Aisha whose violet slit eyes had violet and silver lightning sparks coming out of them.

That's something Aisha was pondering since earlier, there is no way Karla was weaker than Arlion, and the past king had achieved integrating the "luck" rule into his magic aura's nature.

Don't get it wrong, the crystal which he used at the end was not the source of Arlion's power, but a "catalyst", Arlion had indeed stolen and integrated the rule of luck into himself.

The problem was that since he wasn't a member of the royalty from the angelfish clan, he couldn't properly use such a high ranked rule at a "low" realm like let alone the Arch rank but the Stellar one even.

That's why originally only the border of Arlion's magic aura was dyed of the white, blue and yellow colors which reminded Aisha of Marlene, and that's why the culmination of his life's work and investigation was that crystal.

Arlion basically used that agglomeration of rules, to increase his own "luck" so that what he wanted to achieve would succeed, in simple words that hero pendant was a good luck charm and with it on him, he was able to succeed in what he had failed to do, which was to completely use the rule of luck in his magic aura, despite having failed at integrating that capacity at the same level as a royalty from the angelfish clan.

Anyway, leaving Arlion aside, Aisha who had fought with him, instantly knew that Karla was way stronger than Arlion, the past king at most equaled three of these Karla's fighting together and that is when they weren't using rules, which is what was bothering Aisha.

How could it be possible for a faker like Arlion who got knowledge about systems probably through "luck", to have applied a rule to his magic aura, while Karla hadn't.

It's not like the idea of Karla simply disdaining to use it against her, didn't cross Aisha's mind, however, earlier Aisha had seen that Karla's recovery abilities were a notch worst than they should have been, so a new theory formed in the silver haired vampire girl's mind.

'She really was hit by Eve forcefully claiming what my darling earned~', thought Aisha as she pointed her right hand at the evil siren Karla.

"Violet Empress Vambrace, Silver Ruler Javelin", this time it wasn't only Aisha's right hand what was covered by that violet energy armor, from the tip of her fingers and all the way to her elbow, were now protected by armor.

At the same time, Aisha now made use of the double casting chance of her right arm casting spot which in other words meant that she gathered energy on two separate areas in front of her hand to cast two javelins.

'This bitch is playing with me!', inwardly cursed the evil siren Karla as she saw the now two lightning streams that were about to come her way, only for Aisha to add.

"Ah right, if you can burst out with hero nonsense power ups, then I don't need to keep spreading my "authority" on four anymore, you should be able to react even if I focus it in a single one of you".

That's right, so far Aisha has been spreading the authority of the "violet empress" into four, but she had stopped doing so, so now, Karla was experiencing the pressure radiated by Aisha's blood energy which Arlion experienced when he was defeated by the demon sword and when he lost his mind from the black terror, this was Aisha properly entering "B Plan" level of strenght which Arlion only had a slight taste of.

"Cough!!!", the moment Aisha finished her sentence, the world gained a violet "shade" for the evil siren Karla, a pressure akin to that of a mountain seemed to weigh on her chest which forced her to cough blood as she was half-way forced down to descend from the sky.

She who had the most aggressive and unruly wind among the two siren Karlas, was nearly shot down from her natural environment by the authority of the enemy, it was too humiliating.

"The sky is my territory, I won't be forced to the ground by…".

"Is that so, unfortunately for you, everything in the presence of the "violet empress" is hers to rule", said Aisha as she released her javelins.

"Boooooom!", this time, the evil siren Karla had no time to cast her spell to counter, in fact no Karla could react, because while the javelins took a second longer to be casted, they were shot and moved more than five times faster than before.

By the time the other siren Karla reacted, her counterpart had been engulfed by a pair of silver lightning streams with violet borders, which then travelled far into the distance, surprisingly they didn't produce any explosion when they impacted into the white-silver barrier that was isolating the battlefield.

Well, it was surprising for Karla, because Aisha had "perfect harmony hybrid" which means that her energies won't cause conflict with each other as long as she doesn't want them to, therefore, her own attacks won't damage the demonite field even if they land on it, in fact all that energy was stored into the demonite field which in case you had forgotten has disaster's storing ability and also Nasha's replenishing ability.

This way, Aisha didn't have to worry about the high energy cost that her techniques had, even if she threw javelins all over the area, she could recycle their remaining energy again and again, and that is without taking into account the energy she could obtain from blocking the enemy's attacks, she had successfully imitated Daimon's monstrous energy manipulation capacity which allowed him to reabsorb the remains of his own attacks, it might have been done in a different way but she did "catch up" with Daimon's initial capacity indeed.

That aside, once the javelins had disappeared into the distance, the scene of the evil siren Karla whose left body side was everything she had left after being engulfed by Aisha's lightning streams, was revealed.

"Oh, that's a different rule I'm seeing, you managed to integrate two into yourself… no, they just seem be both "yours", that other rule is from the other siren", said Aisha as she saw the "brighter" green rule in the evil siren Karla's black-green mana which was regenerating her lost half.

"That's a survivability against the odds kind of rule, what happened Karla, the last time we fought you seemed to disdain your host's "comeback" capacity, I seem to remember you saying that heroes were lower ranked beings since they needed to revive, while you on the other hand at most needed to recover, did something happen to you?", said Freya with a disdaining expression on her pretty face, which made the evil siren Karla grit her teeth.

"Was it your doing, you crazy bitch, just what the hell did you do to my former other half, how did you manage to affect me when you had severed our connection yourself!", shouted the evil siren Karla.

Like Aisha had thought, when Eve forcefully turned the dead half of Karla into a reward for Daimon, she passed over the preparations that Karla had done so that the part of her which was sealed in Kerrol lacked anything important.

That Karla still had access to their signature recovery capacity, however defeating and killing her shouldn't have rewarded the one who did so in any way or whatsoever.

Karla did it so that her weakened half wouldn't trigger the appearance of a system user candidate, because as a hero type administrator, the one who defeated her would attain that status.

Unfortunately for her, her preparations meant nothing for Eve, of course the hero candidate status as a reward was trash in her eyes, but, she used her power to guarantee that Daimon obtained a fair reward for his feat, which took exactly half of Karla's recovery capacity away from her and then since it was meant to be used by a mermaid/siren and all of them are women too, Eve turned it into the incomplete passive skill "Mythical Regeneration", which had basically the same effect but without the gender and race restrictions, meaning that it actually held more potential than the base from which it originated.

The best part is that just like how other system users for some reason can't detect Daimon being one, Karla didn't know how it happened, in fact she didn't even realize that her recovery capacities which had remained intact given that she had taken all of its origin on the part of her that escaped when Ereth died back then, was cut in half.

Only after they had returned for the fourth time, in other words when they completely broke away from the megalodon's seal and appeared right before the global raid started, was that she realized what she had lost, and it was because the body she possessed had suffered some minor inner wounds and she noticed how "inefficient" the recovery process was, in comparison to how she remembered it.

So, you see, just like how Daimon screwed Ereth's plan over, Eve did the same but for the enemy's administrator, in other words Karla, and both did so without being discovered from within behind the scene.

"I'll leave that up to your imagination, I just find it amusing that you had to rely in something you disdained so much before, how pathetic", answered Freya as she aimed her hand at the evil siren Karla who was in the middle of finishing regenerating.

But before she could cast her conceptual banner technique, two flashes, one dark blue and the other black-red colored appeared above her.

"Aren't you forgetting someone!", said the first Karla in other words the good mermaid one, to which Aisha giggled as she said.

"Nope, she didn't~", at the same time, and without Freya casting her technique, banners appeared, a total of four, two were floating behind of Aisha and the other two appeared above those two, they had the words "Companion" and "Close", while the others had the words "Companion" and "Far" engraved in them respectively.

'How, she didn't cast anything, neither in the open nor in secret!', inwardly cursed both the good and evil mermaid Karlas.

"Crack!", the banners above the two Karlas cracked and burned on the spot, turning into grey silver spiked chains that wrapped around the two Karlas, before the other one turned into a giant gauntlet which… slapped them away like flies.

"Boooom!", as comical as the previous sounded, the gauntlet which slapped those two away produced quite the strong impact, which sent them flying into the distance to then heavily land into a floating piece of black ground which exploded upon contact.

What happened was simple, and nope, that was still not a new technique, Freya had simply casted her conceptual banner and set up the "conflict" to be triggered upon a condition being met, instead of she having to activate it manually.

The condition being that the enemies got too close to them, which was the origin of the "close" banner which represented the short distance between herself and Aisha, which went at war with the distance between Karla and her other selves, and in case you have forgotten, the siren ones were far into the distance, but Aisha was calmly floating next to Freya, so the "close" banner easily won the war.

Then we have the "companion" banner war, that was an even easier to win conflict, it was a battle where the strength of a single companion of each was judged, so a comparison between a single one of Karla's companions and Aisha's companions was made, and the result was of course Aisha winning.

The previous might sound like a bet because what if for Karla's banner the one who was taken into consideration was Ereth, but that was absolutely not the case, because Freya perfectly knew the nature of the relationship between those two, they worked together and even cared about the life and death of the other, but they were not companions, at most they would be "allies" and that is still a bit of a stretch, circumstantial teammates would fit them the best.

Karla only completely trusted herself, and so her "companions" were her other selves, as for Aisha, well, the list was not as small one would think, but contrary to expected the one who was taken into account wasn't let alone the other soulmates, but even Daimon, her banner reacted to Freya, which was something the valkyrie like administrator girl didn't expect.

"You… I thought the one who would come to "fight" for you would be him", said Freya to which Aisha softly laughed in response.

"Well, my darling certainly holds a unique place among my "companions" but he is also way more than that for me, the world you should use if you want me to strictly think on him would be "soulmate", though I don't think such a confrontation will happen, because there is no way a piece of trash like her, has someone like that~", said the silver haired vampire girl.

'I indeed am grateful to them and given that limitations don't seem to affect him, I was planning to honor my promise and enter a contract with him, but why is she considering me her companion when we had never interacted until now?', wondered Freya, which was answered by Aisha the next second.

"Don't look so confused, you see, it's way harder to earn my darling's trust than mine, in fact I was honestly worried that he would end up walking a lonely path, so not only don't need to know you personally to be sure that I can trust you if you have gained his acknowledgement, but I'm really grateful to you for that, because the more my darling has in his heart, the brighter his life will be", said the silver-haired vampire mother with a soft smile on her pretty face.

Which for a moment, overlapped with the happy expressions that Alicia put for her, whenever they talked about their late sister, yeah, Freya considered Alicia's sister as her own too, and Alicia considered Freya her sister too, the three were united by something that neither the system nor Ereth and Karla could sever.

'Such a strong love and from a warrior like her too meaning that she is not careless in her criteria, she has absolute trust in him… that's not something just anyone can do', thought Freya, to then be returned to the real world by Aisha's amused voice.

"Besides, if I were to resort to my darling "card", this fight would end right then and there and that wouldn't be fun, right?", she said to which Freya couldn't help but chuckle.

"I guess you are right on that, I'm not even close enough with trashing her either, so I wouldn't want that monstrous masked guy to ruin my fun", jokingly answered the valkyrie administrator girl, which by the way made a certain masked silver haired youth have this strange feeling, like, he expected Aisha to talk about him, but this on the other hand was outside of his scope.

"Crack!", leaving aside that friendly and strangely wholesome interaction between Aisha and Freya, the pair of good and evil mermaid Karlas suddenly came out of a bunch of rubble where they had been buried by the giant gauntlet slapping them away.

It's worth mentioning that the spikes on the chains that trapped them, had left scarring marks on their bodies, just like Freya had said, in fact it was interesting to see that even if they covered them with mana condensed clothes, or with anything else, the affected area bypassed the cover to be perfectly visible for everyone.

"The scars left by the flames of war can't be hidden, and they shouldn't be either, their existence reminds people of the terrors of conflict so that they won't take such a horrible thing as war lightly", said Freya which made the mermaid Karlas grit their teeth.

"Enough with your nonsense, what flames of war, this is just a new damn rule you obtained thanks to this stupid place, you didn't even earn this power yourself so why are you acting as if you were better than me!", they both said in unison, their lashing was interrupted by a mocking laugh coming from the silver-haired vampire girl floating next to Freya.

"Those are some big words for someone that is using four different rules that don't belong to her, just to make up for the half she lost, not to mention that you had to divide a single "concept" in four parts because you couldn't handle it as a whole", said Aisha which made Karla's eyes contract like needles.

'I hadn't used the other two rules in the open yet, how the hell does she know that!', exclaimed the four Karlas to their insides.

The answer is simple, Aisha had passed to "Plan B" strength like previously stated, she has two eyes right, well, in "Plan B" level, she could use one each for a separate usage of blood reading, Aisha's right eye was still going through the memories in the blood she has seen Karla spill since earlier, fighting to unveil the intel she wanted to learn.

But the left one went for a less "protected" subject in comparison, given that Karla possessing more than one rule and that both were hero-related too, was already revealed, therefore, the secrecy of intel related to that lowered and it was easier for Aisha to crack down more information about that.

That's how, despite the mermaid Karlas being enveloped by the "survivability against the odds" rule which basically increased either speed to the extreme when it was possible to dodge, or toughness to the extreme when it wasn't possible.

And the "sudden burst of power" rule which allowed Karla to explode with stronger battle prowess depending on her emotional state, basically meaning that if she got "heated up" like earlier when she was angered over Aisha's words, she could exert stronger power even if she used the same spell and with the exact same amount of mana, because it was her mana itself what was boosted.

Those were the rules Aisha has seen the siren Karlas use before too, but she not only knew that they weren't the mermaid ones, but was also aware that theirs were also related to hero stuff and why it was arranged in such a way.
