Chapter 780 - 780: A fundamentally special kind of fight (part 2)

The fully armored valkyrie-like Freya couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Aisha's words, even if the other half of Karla which used to be trapped in Kerrol, was here for her to kill too, it honestly wouldn't have been enough to calm down the burning hatred that Freya felt in her heart.

After all, she lost two people who were really precious to her at the hands of Karla and Ereth, she wished to kill Karla more than twice, only then would the anger she felt will subside and the spirits of her sister would be able to rest in peace.

Aisha naturally knew the whole story regarding the other half of Karla with which Daimon had battled before, since he told her about it and Eve further added a few extra details during a "girl's talk" they had in private.

Of course, Eve didn't know things will turn out like this, but if Daimon was going to face Ereth, then as the sole soulmate who was present in Neptune, aside from Nasha who was Daimon's battle partner, the duty of dealing with Karla would fall on Aisha's shoulders.

"The situation might differ from the original prediction a bit, but the important part remains the same, Demonite Field", said Aisha as she snapped her fingers making a white-silver metal barrier appear far into the distance, to which Karla snorted.

"Humph, so that's what you used to stay out of our detection, however such a trick won't work on a "queen" of the sea like me, all the water shall turn into my servants!".

Surprisingly enough, despite the demonite field isolating what's inside of it from what's outside of it, by the end of Karla's sentence, the water mana in the atmosphere around the demonite field had gathered and turned into black-blue water sharks, dolphins, giant squids, whales and similarly large sea animals which then charged towards the barrier aiming to destroy it from the outside, at least until Aisha disdainfully smiled as she said.

"A "queen" huh, let's see what can we do about that, Violet Empress Entourage, Demon Rainbow", following Aisha's words and under Karla's gaze of disbelief, all the water mana sea beast condensations she had created and ordered to charge at the barrier, started exploding when they got as close as five hundred meters from it.

Whenever one of the mana condensations exploded, it left behind a band of colors which is a basic description that could be used for a rainbow, the difference is that the colors produced right now were limited to white, silver and blackish blue, they simply got darker at the start of the color bands and faded towards their end.

"The queen of the sea can turn water into her servants but so what, wherever the violet empress passes, water will turn into demon rainbow to announce her presence", casually said Aisha as she looked at Karla as if she was a high-class lady looking at a peasant in rags, which actually earned her a soft laugh from Freya, well, Karla's clothes had indeed ripped here and there so reality wasn't far from fantasy in this case.

'So, the sky is a part of her "entourage" and when in her presence it will produce phenomena when interacting with different elements and energies… what a complex and magnificent technique', thought the valkyrie-like administrator.

Of course, the "sky" here was the one covered by her demonite field which was radiating energy with its property, this energy reacted based on what it had to interact with, in this case mana, so the "rainbow" produced had antinite's blackish blue tone as well as the demonite's white-silver one.

The important part here is that right after Karla had called herself a "queen" who could reign over water, she was slapped right on the face by an "empress" whose sole presence made the sky a part of her entourage, it was a clear provocation and it worked like a charm.

"What "empress", aren't you that masked guy's bitch, that's how you know about me right, given that Freya is here, it must mean that my other half is gone…", midway through her speech, Aisha interrupted Karla by saying.

"Well, even trash can be given some use on the hands of the correct person", which made the mermaid administrator feel her blood pressure raise on the spot.

'This fucking bitch gets on my nerves even more than Freya, go to hell already!', she thought as she glared at Aisha who softly snorted in response.

"Humph", Aisha's pretty silver wings shone in a white-silver light as they produced a defensive metal field of the same color.

"Clang!", a loud metal clashing sound echoed through the sky, followed by Karla's voice cursing.

"Damn it", the interesting part is that said voice didn't come from the area where Karla was, but above Aisha's defensive field where a second "Karla" had appeared out of nowhere.

Unlike the Karla floating a few kilometers away from Aisha and Freya, who has wavy dark blue hair, this second Karla had straight dark green hair, but the difference between them wasn't purely aesthetical.

"Boooom!", as the loud shockwave which was produced when the green wind sword which the second Karla had tried to swung at Aisha only to have the defensive field of her wings, using demonite for it for the first time by the way, intercepted the ambush, exploded.

"Is this what you meant when you said that there will be enough of "her" to kill, but two are barely enough for me alone though?", said Freya who had remained aloof while floating next to Aisha, to which Aisha smiled in response.

"Nope, she is just trying to look "mysterious" and "superior", but she can forget about that, since I already know that there are four of her in total", said the silver-haired vampire mother whose slit violet eyes glared at Karla.

'Why the hell does she know that, my former other half had no knowledge about it!', she exclaimed to her insides, only for Aisha to add.

"People like you are often not as "cunning" as they believe themselves to be, my darling had more or less guessed what lied below that façade of yours since a long time ago".

Fun fact, while in modern days of earth "mermaid" and "siren" represent the same fantasy creature, namely a woman with a half fish body, that wasn't originally the case.

You see, in the old mythology, "sirens" were half bird hybrids, not half fish ones, while mermaids were the ones with half fish bodies, later both were englobed into the same being for a variety of reasons.

The main one being that their supposed dangers had the common part of bringing sailors to their doom through their bewitching voices and songs, this resulted in the people who transmitted their myth to mix two completely different beings, one with wings and one with a fish tail into the same one.

That being said, the modern siren-mermaid was still portrayed as the evil one who drags humans into the deepness of the ocean to then devour them, while the modern mermaid was changed into a beautiful and while maybe capricious and curious, mostly benevolent being.

And that was the concept which the Karla that Daimon had met seemed to follow, given that below her "beautiful" outer appearance, she was revealed to have a monstrous one instead.

So far so good right, well, the thing is that Daimon didn't believe for a second that someone closely related to Ereth could be so obvious with their nature, and that's when he made memory of the mermaid-siren mixing story, well, it was a bit of memory and mainly investigation, don't forget that he has access to stuff from earth through the store of the system, so he bought some old myth books and developed the theory that a simple modern siren and modern mermaid was not everything there was about Karla.

Also, there was another key piece of information which reinforced Daimon's discoveries, Ereth's original promised treasure, namely the trident of the storm, what comes to mind when one thinks about a storm, rain of course is probably the first that will pop in your mind, some people would be "mislead" to secondly think about lightning, but in truth a storm may not produce any lightning, but most will involve wind as well.

Just like the old siren was a flying creature while the old mermaid was a water one, based on the connection that an administrator shares with the concept of their user, which is what gives shape to one's promised treasure, then Daimon was sure Karla's powers must not only be water-related.

And the last confirmation for this theory was when Ereth used those copies of his, which aligned with the multi-existence power Daimon had theorized they had.

Don't get it wrong though, all of that now only counted as another layer of Ereth's façade, because who knows what their most recent powers were, considering that he had become a proper system user again and Karla was also an administrator again.

But Daimon still saw through the past real self of Ereth with as little information as that when he couldn't directly face him, so Aisha had no doubts that he will strip away all of that hero guy's pretentious "mysterious" façade in no time.

"I see, so that's how pieces of trash like you two managed to get ahead us, you are one of those "favored" ones whose concepts perfectly aligned with your past self", said Freya whose eyes could currently kill.

Joanna had mentioned it before, Alicia or in other words the Brightstar ancestor from which Jasmine and the others descended, was the "Heavenly Archer" system user, however not only was her promised treasure a crossbow instead of a bow, but when you see Freya who was her administrator, do you really relate her to an archer… of course not.

In fact, Ereth himself called Freya a "War Goddess" in his mind when she reappeared in front of them earlier.

You have also learned that the circumstances under which someone becomes a user or an administrator can be really scummy, through Lezabel's experience, but of course not all of them are like that, Adam and Marcus proved that, since they faced no difficulties when becoming system users.

Adam became "handsome" and was gifted his charm ability, status as a hero and support from the church of light, so the same should apply to administrators, some should have easily attained that status and there might be even those who actively looked to become administrators.

Given that the system obviously seeks to benefit itself, then it's not strange that such "cooperative" administrators are given a better treatment, right, like being granted concepts and users that fit their personal characteristics, which translates in them having it easier to raise in power than their peers.

That explained why despite Alicia and her sister not losing in terms of talent when compared to Ereth in the slightest, ultimately died while he survived, he could draw out more power from his system than them and the same applied to Karla.

That being said, those Brightstar princesses and Freya were fierce enough to make up for that unfair disadvantage, and struck back, giving Ereth the scare of his life.

'Are you telling me that the damn system sent my sisters here to be killed by that piece of trash!!!', she roared to her insides before gritting her teeth.

"If only my affinity would have been closer to light, or if my fighting style was closer to that of Alicia, the ones to die would have been you two", said Freya with a hatred filled voice.

"Humph, luck and knowing how conduct oneself are also talents, you probably are one of those idiots who rejected their initial offer or something along the lines of it, so of course you are nothing but an "extra" to fill in the empty spots, therefore you were assigned some random concept and random host", said the Karla with straight dark green hair, to which the one with wavy dark blue hair, or the "original" Karla added.

"If you long to have a third "sister" die at your side, go and team up with that crazy silver-haired bitch, since she is so smart, then let's see how you deal with us".

Black red water raised from within the deep abyss below the battlefield, as a third Karla appeared, this one had messy black-blue hair, and while her appearance remained beautiful like that of the original Karla, her teeth were spiked and there was this scent of blood to her.

"There is such a strong vitality coming from her, I want her corpse", said the third Karla, apparently this one was the evil siren-mermaid, in other words the type to drag people deep into the depths of the sea to eat them.

"Don't be so selfish, she might not have wind affinity, but I can feel powerful lightning coming from her, so I want a part of her flesh and blood as well", said a raspy voice coming from a black green whirlwind which descended from above, to reveal the fourth Karla, this one had black-green hair and represented the old original siren.

So, there were two "evil" ones and two "good" ones, but that was only from the supposed behavior point of view, people often forgot that regardless of racial characteristics, two members of the same race could act in a completely different way.

There could be good sirens among the old representations of them who mainly caused shipwrecks, and there could be pieces of trash among the glorified benevolent modern mermaid too, though in this case "good" or "evil" in nature, both were pieces of trash.

"I wonder, why is it that most hero-related people we have meet is so far from deserving such an affiliation", said Aisha as she shook her head to then gaze at Freya as she added.

"Now it should be fine for me to participate too, right?".

"Mm, I guess seeing her being beat up from an external point of view is not that bad, besides I learned something important thanks to you, so it wouldn't be fair if didn't return the favor", said Freya.

The doubt of how did someone she considered inferior to Alicia and her sister, in other words Ereth, manage to lead them to their deaths, is something that has been weighting in Freya's heart for such a long time.

And now thanks to Aisha and Daimon of course, she learned that it was because of the system's arrangements which favored him and treated her sisters as sacrifices, needless to say but despite her composed self, the valkyrie-like administrator girl was beyond furious right now.

She wasn't the only one though, the first Karla in other words the "good" mermaid one with wavy dark blue hair, seemed to be about to lose it given that they were being casually assigned by the enemy.

"You bitches really get along with the other right, perfect, go and die together then!", she said, to which the other three Karla's added.

"The water from the depths become my servants!", said the "evil" mermaid Karla, which resulted in black-red mana monstrous versions of sea beasts to condense and emerge from the abyss bellow the battlefield.

"The winds of the four directions become my servants!", said the "good" siren Karla, as she opened her arms wide which resulted in dark green mana coming from, east, west, south and north to then take the form of different flying beasts.

"The winds from hell become my servants!", added the "evil" siren Karla, a crack in space appeared behind of her to then release black-green mana which took the form of monstrous flying beasts as well.

Their attacks all charged at Aisha's demonite field, but this time the silver-haired vampire mother wasn't the one to act, but the valkyrie-like administrator girl whose body was burning in grey silver flames.

As you could guess just by seeing Freya's appearance, her affinity is metal and weapon related, considering that she used her power to "sever" Ereth's connection with his system back then, but right now her energy had taken the form of flames.

"Your birds, fishes and breezes are nothing in front of the eternal struggle of existence", said the valkyrie-like administrator girl as she snapped her fingers, which resulted in six banners with six different words appearing in different directions.

The first four words were "east", "west", "south", "north" and they were positioned in the respective direction which their word mentioned and then the other two banners had the words "heaven" and "hell" engraved in them, as for their positions, they floated up in the sky and low into the abyss, respectively.

'What's that?', wondered Karla as she saw Freya doing something completely out of her expectations, before everything was engulfed in a gray silver light.

"Boooooom!", the four banners burned and exploded at the same time, resulting in a huge energy cloud which engulfed till the last of the mana condensations of those three, destroying all of them on the spot.

Once the explosion had subsided, the sight of Aisha who was grabbing one of the monstrous sea beasts created by the evil mermaid Karla, by its neck as she looked at it with disdain.

"And here I thought they were actual "servants" but these things are only energy condensations used as attacks, I was planning to use them to test my improvement for future "fights", what a letdown", said the silver-haired vampire mother to then apply some strength to her hand.

"Crack!", which resulted in the monstrous black red mana shark to crumble apart on the spot.

Aisha was referring to the "spirit fire" and "spirit ice" that Liz and Elaine could use, when they created something out of their respective fire and ice, even if short-lasting, their condensations were "alive".

Unlike other members of the Revy family who could only add conditions to their spells which gave them different results depending on the situation, the sun alluring and moon alluring fox princesses could give the capacity of rationality to their spells.

So, Aisha had thought that Karla could do something like that and was looking up to clash with her wide variety of techniques against the enemy, since she knew that there was no way those two had stayed as they were during all this time, but that turned out to not be the case, which was a disappointment for her.

On the other hand, the silver-haired vampire mother had sparkles in her pretty purple eyes as she gazed at Freya, because what she just used wasn't a spell, but… a technique instead.

"I didn't think you were interested in this place's dynamics", said Aisha to the valkyrie-like girl.

"Thanks to you, I figured that rather than just killing them, they seem much more affected by "humiliation", so, now that we are on equal standing, I'm going to crush them without relying in my usual powers", said Freya.

'Her energy is quite something, she has "rules" in it by default and that's supposed to be the weaker version of her powers which she was unable to use properly, how amazing', thought Aisha.

What the armored valkyrie-like administrator had done a moment ago was, making the four directions and two final destinations represented in the banners "fight", she made them battle and the result was mutual destruction, which produced that huge explosion of earlier.

Speaking of which, the four Karlas who were engulfed by the explosion, came out of it, now looking more "similar" to the original one, as in their clothes were ripped here and there, and there was also some blood traces on the other three now.

'What the fuck was that!', inwardly exclaimed the four of them in unison, not understanding how Freya's energy and fighting style changed so much out of nowhere.
