"W-What do you mean, you jerk?!" Maya exclaimed, her face flushing bright red.

I continued eating calmly and gave her a lazy glance.

"Seriously, after what happened that day, what’s there to hide? You even came but wouldn’t let me go all the way. That’s unfair," I said with an aggrieved expression.

"Shameless! Absolutely shameless! How could you say something like that?! Besides, I’m saving my first time for my man, not some pervert like you!" she fumed, almost shoving her fingers into my eyes.

However, I simply continued eating.

If it were Aleena, I would have been worried because she might actually poke my eyes out. Maya, on the other hand, was no different from our neighborhood Chihuahua.

"Am I not good enough for you? Honestly, you’d look great as my gir—no, wife. Your two sisters are already my women, so what’s the big deal if you join them too?" I teased.

Maya continued fuming and cursing at me.

Even Paulina, who was standing nearby, looked embarrassed and chuckled. I immediately turned to her with a fierce expression.

"Did you see or hear anything?"

"N-Not at all, Master!"

"Good girl. Smart girl. I don’t like snitches," I said.

I still couldn’t bring myself to trust Paulina and Freya completely. What if Seraphina had planted them here to spy on me? Either way, I figured they would keep their mouths shut, especially compared to Rhalia, who was far more devoted to Seraphina.

"Jacob, don’t ignore me!" Maya suddenly yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts.

Her face was flushed, and she was yapping so rapidly that I could barely make out what she was saying.

"You jerk! As if taking my sisters wasn’t enough, you even dared to make a move on my mom—!"

Before she could finish, I shot to my feet and clamped a hand over her mouth, forcing her back into her seat.

"Why are you holding me?! Let go!"

"Sheesh... You don’t want Aleena to hear about that, do you?" I whispered before releasing her. "And about what happened between your mom and me, I was simply helping her satisfy her desires. It’s not like I stole her away from your dad or killed him. She’s still with your dad, isn’t she?"

"Do you think it’s easy to go so many years without being touched by a man? Do you have any idea what your mom has been enduring? Would you be satisfied if some random punk started sleeping with her and eventually stole her away from your dad? I only helped her curb her desires. It’s not like I did anything terrible."

I paused briefly before continuing.

"And what about Seraphina? Didn’t Aleena tell you the whole story? I like women, but I’m not the heartless jerk you’re making me out to be. Stop accusing me blindly," I said in a soft voice, pretending to be hurt.

Surprisingly, my little act worked. Maya’s expression softened, and she lowered her gaze to the floor, looking guilty.

Hehe. Such a naive girl.

"I-I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were helping my mom. I thought you were taking advantage of her. I’m not even mad about my sisters because that was their decision. I was only worried about my mom because I thought she didn’t want to speak up and was being taken advantage of," Maya muttered.

"What a load of crap. Do you really think I could bully your mom? She’s an A-Rank Mage, for crying out loud, while I’m barely a D-Rank at best. If I tried anything funny, wouldn’t she just swat me away?"

I shook my head as though disappointed in her.

"Things aren’t always what they seem, Maya. Besides, even though I’ve been teasing you, have I ever actually whipped out my dick and forced myself on you? If I were a bad person, I would have done that long ago!"

"Haah... I-I’m sorry, Brother Jacob," she apologized, looking extremely guilty.

Of course, I was telling a mixture of half-truths and outright lies, but one thing I said was true: I hadn’t forced myself on Maya. She was still rather naive compared to her peers, and I had no intention of crossing that line. ℯℯ𝘭.

"Scumbag!" Maya fumed before running away with her face burning red.

I watched her retreating figure, feeling a knot in my chest loosen a little.

Being around Maya usually soothed me in a strange way, much like when I was with Pico.

I could speak freely and say whatever I wanted around them.

Hah, now I get it! It’s because I feel like I can bully them!

So, this was how those power-drunk women of mine usually felt. Just wait until I grow stronger than them!
