Chapter 2192: Ever-Growing Family Teamwork

"I’ll send these Yggdragon Clones toward the paths, and they’ll find us the correct one. They will also lure any divine beasts we encounter so we can hunt them and grow stronger. Be on your guard."

Everyone nodded in agreement as we remained in the second floor’s vast hall. My Yggdragon Aura Clones immediately walked toward all five available paths, their glowing forms disappearing into the darkness one by one.

Ten minutes later the first clone returned at high speed, three large arachnoid golems chasing closely behind it.

"That one’s a dead end! Get ready!"

Everyone immediately moved into a defensive stance. The arachnoid golems on the second floor were medium-sized — around twice as large as the smaller ones we had faced earlier. They only possessed two arms along with their eight legs.

The major difference was that each of them contained three small cores inside their bodies and blazed with intense energy, as if they had come straight out of the depths of hell itself.

They swung their long spears and unleashed powerful shockwaves of divine purple and gold fire. We quickly avoided the attacks using our superior speed and greeted them with a coordinated combination attack.

By unifying our Auras and perfectly aligning our Techniques into a single strike, it became possible to unleash true Combination Attacks.

Thus...

My father thrust his sword forward with perfect timing. My brother and I flanked the golems from the left and right as they squeezed through the narrow corridor.

"Triple Divine Sword Art – Celestial Flame Purgatory Pyramid!"

SLASH!

SLASH!

SLASH!

All three of our swords unified into a single overwhelming attack. A massive pyramid of fire formed from our three different sources of power erupted outward, burning and rapidly melting all of the monsters at once. At the same time my mother fueled us with her own energy. When the monsters tried to fight back with their divine blades, she blasted them with a full-powered Supernova Cannon the moment they were weakened enough.

BOOOMMM!!!

"Nice!" my brother said with a bright smile. "We did it easily this time!"

"Mom’s buffs are the best!" I added with a grin.

"I guess our combination attack was the real killer too. That was amazing, you two!" my father laughed heartily.

"I have to say, that was incredible," my mother nodded in approval. "Well done, everyone. But don’t lower your guard yet."

Mom released a gentle wave of healing light that recovered some of our stamina. Moments later, from the second corridor, another Yggdragon Aura Clone returned while bringing a new pack of monsters behind it.

We unleashed the same combination technique as before. However, there was one more golem this time, and one of them managed to sneak past our formation and attack my mother directly!

"Mom!" I cried out in alarm.

This time my familiars responded in perfect time.

Beelzebub, Armageddon, and Yggdra took on their full divine forms and smashed the golem into the floor with overwhelming force, kicking it down hard.

Beelzebub and Armageddon used their raw strength to tear its limbs apart while Yggdra drained its divine power and grew thick wood inside its body, rupturing it from within.

Wow... that was brutal.

"Maybe you guys should stay in the front," my father laughed.

"No, it’s better if they remain behind us," my mother said firmly. "We need protection both at the front and the back. They’re perfect for this supporting role."

"I guess that’s right," my dad nodded in agreement.

The third batch arrived soon after. Three more dead ends had been confirmed...

This time, aside from three medium-sized arachnoids, there was a strange new one that possessed the body of a centipede. It hissed at us angrily and released a massive stream of flames as a breath attack.

But if it was using flames, we already had a way to deal with that.

"NOW!" my dad called out.

We unleashed our blazing Fire Auras and combined them into a swirling burning vortex. Mom then added her own power into the mix as we conjured a powerful Combination Spell.

"Quadruple Spell – Divine Flame Vortex!"

With Ignatius and Armageddon helping us as well, the flames that had been unleashed against us were caught, spiraled into a controlled vortex, and then released back with double the original power. The resulting beam of pure energy was guided by my mother’s superior magic expertise.

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

All the monsters were pierced cleanly by the massive beams and completely consumed by them. They collapsed onto the ground, barely capable of moving. My father, my brother, and I quickly finished them off.

As for the fourth route...

"It’s the correct one!" I announced. "But the fifth path... ah, there’s more coming."

Five more arachnids charged toward us at full speed. This time I gathered all of my remaining Yggdragon Clones together and unleashed a sharp coordinated sword attack. The sudden assault caught the golems completely off-guard, cutting their footholds and making them collapse clumsily onto the ground.

My mother quickly bound them with her glowing chains. At the same time Beelzebub, Armageddon, and Yggdra unleashed their divine magic and techniques, decimating the restrained enemies with deadly darkness, searing flames, and overwhelming nature energy.

"Triple Divine Technique – Elemental Triangle!"

Three towering pillars of elemental light destroyed them completely, leaving behind only scattered pieces of metal, residual fire, and glowing crystals. I quickly stored everything into my inventory by calling Glutton, who happily licked every last bit and piece from the floor.

"Alright! We’re done here," my father said with satisfaction.

"Yeah," my brother nodded. "We should keep moving and maintain the momentum we’ve been building."

Without any further hesitation we advanced deeper into the fourth path and soon reached a much vaster chamber. This new area had three diverging paths branching outward, so we immediately repeated the same strategy.

From two of the paths more divine beasts emerged — two of the centipede variants and ten of the medium-sized arachnoids. We eliminated them with greater precision this time, using our refined combination attacks. We were finally beginning to truly figure out the most efficient ways to fight these creatures.
