Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 2190: Creating New Divine Spells With Mom

BOOOM!

A violent explosion of pure divine energy erupted across the battlefield, hurling all of us backward with overwhelming force. The shockwave cracked the ground beneath our feet and sent shards of light and stone flying in every direction. My brother stumbled and nearly fell, his balance completely lost in the chaos. I quickly extended my Yggdragon Aura in a wide, protective wave and caught him mid-fall, pulling him safely back to my side before he could hit the ground.

"Bro, are you alright?" I asked, my voice still a little strained from the impact.

"I-I’m fine... what about you?! You just got cut to pieces!!!" he said, his eyes wide with panic as he stared at the fading traces of divine energy still clinging to my body.

"I’m fine," I sighed, brushing dust and residual light from my clothes. "I’ve survived worse. Literally."

My mother ran toward me the moment she regained her footing. Tears streamed freely down her face as she desperately checked every part of my body for lasting injuries. She pulled me into a tight, trembling hug and kept apologizing between sobs. "I-I’m sorry...! Sylphy...! You shouldn’t have done that! Why would you run in front of your mother and take the hit yourself?! It’s my duty as your mother to protect you!"

"Mom, I am not a kid anymore," I sighed gently while wiping the tears from her cheeks with both hands. "And as the young adult I am, it is now my duty to protect my mother."

"..." She let out a long, shaky breath as I kissed her cheek softly. "Sylphy..."

"Love you," I said again, pressing another light kiss to her chin. "Don’t cry, mom. I’m fine~! I am a little goddess now. So it’s alright! Though, I don’t think I can do that more than a couple more times. Be cautious. These divine attacks can pierce your barriers with ease."

"But I imbued it with divine power..." my mother sighed, her shoulders still tense with guilt. "I guess... my divine power is just weaker?"

"Yes," I nodded firmly. "If it is weaker, then you cannot really block the damage. It will get through no matter what. That’s how divine power works. It’s... way more complicated than ordinary mana."

"Damn it!" my mother clicked her tongue in frustration. "I feel useless in this group... Am I dragging you back?"

"Of course not," my father said in a calm but firm voice as he stepped closer. "But you should take a more supporting role from now on. Just boost our strength and speed through the roof. Plus, your magic still worked. Blast anything from afar if you need to. Faylen, you’re a magician first and foremost. Remember that, okay? Perhaps outside of this place you can even punch foes with your raw strength, but there are different rules here."

My mother nodded slowly and released another heavy sigh. "Understood. Forgive me. It won’t happen again."

"It’s fine, mom," my brother added with a small, reassuring smile. "But yeah, we have to take a more evasive way of fighting. Defending with barriers is kind of useless against these things..."

"Then I’ll craft some new spells for the occasion," she said, determination returning to her voice. "I’ve been accumulating a lot of runes... I can make a couple of useful ones. But I’d need some materials..."

"Take these," I said, quickly handing her several of the cores, lingering flames, and strange metals left behind by the divine beasts we had just defeated. "They’re all usable!"

"Oh? I see..." she nodded, already examining the materials with a focused expression. "Very well."

She sat down cross-legged on the cracked ground. The rest of us formed a protective circle around her while she began absorbing the materials one by one. Soft light flowed from the cores and metals into her magic circle as she carefully fused them with her existing runes, crafting entirely new spells through pure concentration and will.

Her aura surged noticeably for a moment. The Divinity Spark within her chest pulsed brighter and grew stronger under the influence of the absorbed materials.

"It’s done," she said after several intense minutes, rising smoothly to her feet. "I’ve created these. Divine Valkyrie Armor, Celestial Wind Blessing, and the Divine Flame Enchantment. Defense, Agility, and Attack buffs!"

"You can keep them up as long as you need if you take my Mana," I offered immediately.

"Yes, their Mana cost is ridiculous. I made them with you in mind, my dear," she nodded with a small, proud smile. "I don’t think I can keep them up for longer than a minute without your constant assistance."

"Alright mom, try them!" I said, stepping closer so she could draw on my energy freely.

She nodded once more and waved her hand in a graceful arc. A radiant divine armor of interlocking white and gold plates appeared around all of our bodies at once. Bright golden winds gathered and swirled around our auras, lightening our steps and sharpening our senses. Lastly, our weapons ignited with pure white-gold fire that burned without heat yet carried unmistakable divine power.

Ding!

[Your Mother has conjured three Powerful Divine Blessings.]

[You have received [Divine Valkyrie Armor] Buff: Increases Divine Defense by 200%.]

[You have received [Celestial Wind Blessing] Buff: Increases Divine Speed by 200%.]

[You have received [Divine Flame Enchantment] Buff: Increases Divine Attack by 200%.]

[Duration: 1 Minute (Indefinite with constant flow of Mana)]

There were now clear Divine Stats at work. These stats governed everything one could do within the realm of true divinity. Higher Divine Defense increased resistance against divine attacks while almost completely nullifying ordinary physical or magical blows. Divine Speed granted incredible movement and reflexes that surpassed any mortal limit, making it far harder for even divine beasts to outpace or surprise us. Divine Attack, finally, determined the piercing power of one’s divine strikes and how effectively they could break through an enemy’s Divine Defense.

That was the entire foundation.

"Well done," my father nodded with clear approval. "Let’s advance now. Faylen, stay behind us and keep the buffs active."
