Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 2069: A Mother Comes After Her Daughter

-----

Sylph’s Dungeon.

First Floor, Yggdra’s Divine Realm.

"Bubah! Bauh!"

"What’s gotten into you?"

Nepheline watched in confusion as the blue-haired child playing with her daughter suddenly turned serious. The girl glared into the distance, her eyebrows furrowed.

For some reason, Yggdra had completely vanished. Her presence had been severed the moment her main tree body fell into a deep slumber.

"Mama...!"

Emeraldine stood beside her little friend, patting Andromeda’s shoulders and pointing at the sky. Nepheline scratched her head.

"Is something wrong? Now that I think about it—Aquarina! I can’t feel her presence anymore... Wait, have we been cut off from the outside world?!"

She shot to her feet in a panic and rushed over to the girls. Andromeda began glowing, a brilliant azure aura surging from her small body.

And then...

Crack... crack...

CRASH!

With her tiny hands, Andromeda tore space open, shocking both Nepheline and Emeraldine. A portal to the outside world appeared.

Nepheline gasped. She sensed Aquarina in mortal danger and Sylphy’s presence completely gone. A terrifying battle raged beyond the portal.

"What the...?! Who’s attacking the girls?! Damn it, Aquarina!"

As a mother, her first thought was her eldest daughter. She glanced at Emeraldine, clicked her tongue, and summoned a spirit resembling a massive whale.

"Seven Seas King, protect my baby!"

"What?! But Nepheline, without me you cannot use your full power!"

Nepheline didn’t hesitate. She flew straight toward the giant mass of darkness, instantly recognizing it as her daughter.

"Aquarina’s Abyssal Form has gone berserk! What kind of terrifying foe is she facing?!"

She charged forward at full power, her aura blazing. Piercing the darkness, she desperately searched for her daughter.

"Aquarina! AQUA—Ah!"

Her eyes widened in horror. Aquarina lay beaten and gasping for air, her body covered in white glass and blood. A strange glass-like entity with a nebula-like soul stared back at her with glowing, star-like eyes.

"Hm? Oh... a hero, huh? Your kind has become quite disposable by now..."

"W-Who the fuck are you...? GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF MY DAUGHTER!!!"

"?!"

In that instant, Dimension faced a titanic fist hurtling toward him faster than he expected. It struck with immense force. He laughed, certain it would do nothing—yet the blow sent him flying hundreds of kilometers away.

BOOOM!!!

The darkness quickly receded, absorbed back into Aquarina through a mouth that opened in her chest. It closed as Nepheline caught her daughter in her arms.

"Aquarina!" Tears streamed down her face. "What happened?! Who is that guy?"

She quickly opened her inventory artifact, pulled out an elixir, and poured it over her daughter’s wounds.

"Cough, cough...! Mom? Mom!"

Aquarina cried out and hugged her mother tightly. Nepheline was stunned—she had not seen her daughter like this in many years.

"Who was that guy?!" Nepheline held her close. "What is happening out here?! I can feel so many divine presences! D-Don’t tell me...!"

"T-The Evil God of Dungeons sent someone to kill us! S-Sylphy was... she was torn to shreds!"

"What?! Again?!"

Nepheline gasped, eyes wide with shock as she remembered the last time. A giant skeleton had appeared out of nowhere, kidnapped them, and left Sylphy torn to pieces—only for her to be healed and revived in what everyone believed was impossible.

"I can feel her presence..." Aquarina swallowed hard. "She’s... coming back! But before that we have to—Ah!"

Aquarina froze in terror as Dimension returned. He floated between dimensions, piercing space and appearing before them in an instant—then vanished again.

"MOM!!!"

CRAAASH!

"Gaaaah?!"

Aquarina vomited blood as Dimension appeared behind her. His hand pierced her chest and tore out her still-beating heart.

"G-Gaaah...! Aahh...! Haaa...!"

Aquarina gasped and coughed blood, stunned and frozen in disbelief as crimson poured from her mouth.

"Pitiful puppets of the gods, your time here is no longer necessary. You are obsolete. Let me eliminate you right now. You are not worth my time anymore!"

"NOOOOO!!!"

Aquarina screamed, desperately striking his arm to free her mother’s heart, which was still connected by veins. Her hands tore apart again, bones shattering and flesh ripping.

"It is futile. She is not needed. You are the specimen my master requires. To channel the Abyssal Embodiment and attain the power of the Ancient Abyssals... all others must perish."

"Nnnggh... Heh!"

But then Aquarina smiled. She grabbed her own heart and crushed it to pieces right in front of him.

BOOOM!

A massive explosion of divine power erupted, sending Dimension crashing into the ground. Blue flames exploded across his body, burning him lightly.

"Huh? Why would she accelerate her own end? This seems odd—Hm?"

A small crack appeared on his hand—tiny, almost invisible.

But he... had taken damage.

"Has she attained it— No, impossible! That was nothing. She sacrificed her own life, and this is all she accomplished... Hahaha... No, this is indeed... very laughable!"

"Eyes up here, bastard."

"...?!"

To his disbelief, she was not dead.

The gaping hole in her chest had filled with crystallized spiritual power, soul essence, and a stubborn spark of divinity that refused to fade.

"!!!"

"At this point, a damn heart isn’t even necessary," Nepheline spat on the ground. Her body had turned completely metallic and stone-like. "And I can always regrow another one anyway!"

"Elemental Embodiment. So that is how you survived. To think you puny mortals have achieved such a high level of Magic Fusion. Well, it does not matter..."

His aura surged violently. A spinning nebula formed around him, space distorted, and invisible dimensional forces manifested in the air.

"In the name of my master, I shall eliminate you right now."

As he spoke, Nepheline smiled fiercely. Her own aura exploded with power. She reinforced and compressed her body, choosing to stay near his size—growing larger would be useless.

"Try me, bitch!"

She descended like a meteor, manifesting a giant hammer of divine stone and spirit crystals before slamming it down on him.

BOOOM!!!

.

.

Lolth clenched her giant mandibles, venomous darkness dripping from them as she fought the fused form of Beelzebub and Armageddon.

Their power was overwhelming. Pillars of black, purple, and red flames erupted with every punch. Divine weapons forged from their very divinity slashed her vessel and tore at her soul without pause.

Deep resentment burned within her broken, dark soul. Lolth had already endured humiliation once. She could not—would not—face it again.

The Great Evil God of Dungeons himself, the strongest among them, was watching her performance and judging her at this very moment.

If she underperformed and disappointed him again—especially after he had given her a second chance and allowed her to regain power by seizing his dungeons—her end would be far worse than death.

"I cannot let these monkeys humiliate me anymore! He’s here, so it doesn’t matter now, right? It’s a pity I didn’t gather enough sacrifices for my curse, but so be it!"

Deep within her true domain in the largest and most dangerous dungeon of the Blue Mountains, Lolth’s giant draconic claws tightened. Her power surged outward as malefic dark roots spread across the entire mountain range, reaching every single victim of her curse at once.

The presence of her curse grew so intense that everyone felt it simultaneously.

"W-What is this?! Wait, you mustn’t stand up yet!"

The caretakers in the quarantined areas panicked as the infected rose to their feet. Their pain vanished, and their eyes turned a deep, ominous red.

And then...

They roared.

"RAAAHHHHH!"

The darkness of the curse consumed them completely. Their bodies mutated as massive explosions of darkness erupted across the city.

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

Out of nowhere, massive black pillars rose from the earth. Space itself warped, miasma flooded the area, and the surroundings twisted into dark, grotesque fields.

For the survivors, the worst nightmare had only just begun.

"N-No...! Everyone!"

The Adventurer Guild Master stared in horror as those he had been protecting mutated into aberrations—growing extra limbs, eight eyes, and reptilian scales.

"GAAARRRRHHHH!"

The entire Dwarven Kingdom was suddenly attacked from within. Lolth’s power and influence as an Evil Goddess swelled as she began to harvest what she had sown.

"Wake up, my Seeds of Madness! May your dark desires consume this entire Kingdom! Hahahahaha!"
