“But that’s about it,” she said. “Then again, even as a mortal you have Endless Mana… And you’re a god wrapped in the husk of a mortal body. It’s hard for other Gods—especially wandering Evil Gods—to locate and target you directly.”

“I see…” I said. “So they can target me now?”

“Evil Gods prefer to hunt one another rather than humanity directly because they remain under the watchful eyes of the other gods,” Armageddon explained. “However, if you become a goddess yourself, you will no longer be ’protected.’ The gods won’t intervene or stop them from easily destroying you if they choose.”

“…! So Evil Gods—byproducts of the invading gods—are still monitored even when left to act freely…” I nodded. “That’s why they form cults, control people, and use roundabout methods like descending…”

“There are other factors too, such as their divine forms being weakened or unable to fully manifest in this world,” Armageddon added. “After all, this world is alive as well and fights back, even if it doesn’t always seem to.”
