Chapter 1810 1810: A New God Is Born
—–
As Aquarina, her parents, and her friends stepped through the blazing gate where the Great Spirit of Fire that had merged with the Blazing Ant Queen was located, they didn’t step into a large room where they expected to find the giant bug abomination.
No, unlike anything they could have ever thought or expected, everyone’s perception of reality warped. The world around them rapidly twisted and broke apart, shattering like glass. Shade and Nepheline panicked, grabbing the kids with their combined auras and resisting the incoming shockwave of dimensional energies as they were quickly dragged elsewhere.
Another space entirely!
TRUUUM!
As they survived the deadly turbulence and the body-shattering spatial warping effects of being forcefully moved into another space, a pocket dimension, everyone landed on a rocky, hot floor. They glanced around in disbelief at an infernal landscape and a red sky.
Yes, there was a sky down there, and even a giant, blazing sun with a massive eye staring at them. The surroundings resembled those of another world entirely. It was as if they had landed on a world of magma, flames, and black stone. The sky was blazing red, and the only thing in the sky was a gigantic sun exuding immense divine and spiritual power unlike anything they had faced before.
Everyone glanced around, confused about what was happening. Quetzal’s eyes widened as he suddenly felt a tinge of pain through his body. He felt that pain connected to that sun, as if resonating with him. Aquarina was looking everywhere, still not realizing what had truly happened. Agua was exhausted, and the heat was making her water body evaporate rapidly. Silvia and Justicio nearly fell unconscious, barely keeping themselves awake.
Nepheline and Shade were alert, realizing what had happened quickly. Although they had yet to unleash their full power, they weren’t sure it would be enough now.
“Aaaahhhh… I have to thank you, heroes! The death of my children as they struggled until the very end, the divine blessings I granted them, which I got back upon their deaths… Everything was just right.”
As everyone’s eyes widened, realizing this was nothing they could have ever imagined, a voice echoed through this entire “Divine Realm” they had entered. Nepheline, Shade, and Aquarina quickly realized it came from the skies above.
From that massive sun with a single, blazing, crimson eye in it.
The voice was feminine, that of an adult woman. Her words shook the world entirely. Hundreds of volcanoes erupted, and massive spires of blazing stone and crystals surged from the lava endlessly.
RUMBLE!
The world they had landed in shook and transformed based on her very words, an entire dimension the origin of this voice controlled like an extension of her soul and body.
An unparalleled power over all creation.
“T-This can’t be happening…” Aquarina muttered, realizing a little too late what was happening. “You’re kidding me?!”
“No, this is not a joke, Aquarina,” Shade said with a serious expression. “We’ve landed in a Divine Spirit Realm, most likely.”
“We’re trapped inside,” Nepheline said. She knew it was better not to lie to the kids. “By that thing over there… that thing that can control every single inch of this world.”
“Hah?!” Aquarina screamed, looking at the massive sun above and the blazing eye staring at them.
FLAAASH!
A bright beam of divine sunlight emerged from that massive eye. Its rays were so powerful they could burn things to a crisp and then to ashes. Aquarina’s parents protected the kids with their divine auras, but without them, everyone except Aquarina would have turned to ashes, while Aquarina might have taken so much damage she would have been close to death as well.
“I have ascended! Bask in my divine sunlight, for I am among the Gods of this world now! HAHAH… HAHAHAHAHAHA!”
That monstrous voice echoed from the sun once more, shaking everyone’s hearts and sending shivers down their spines. They immediately realized what was happening and what had happened. Even the clueless Silvia and Justicio realized it, and Agua, who was slightly smarter, also knew what had occurred. Quetzal was still confused.
That voice, the origin of that voice, was none other than her, that Great Spirit, that Blazing Ant Queen, that monster born from their fusion and assimilation of one another.
A former member of Khepri’s squad, now turned into an aberration that had ascended, all thanks to the children she had blessed, sent to fight and die.
Their deaths and the divine blessings she regained from them, loaded with the new power they evolved through such battles, seemed to have been just enough.
Indeed.
This entity was no false god anymore. This was no divine spirit or great spirit either.
This was a True God.
Or at least, the presence of a “Complete” God, albeit perhaps the lowest form of it.
Nonetheless, it was something no mortal had ever achieved before in this world, and this monster, born from these very Gods’ mistakes, had achieved it through all of this.
“This is the true form and power of a God, unworthy mortals. Your efforts and struggles have been futile as they have only helped me ascend further. I am now at the same stage as those who created me! Upon my ascension, these memories came back to me, my hatred only intensifying. You’re only the beginning. I shall purge this land created by them and burn it to the ground. I shall have my revenge against them by burning their newest creations, and through the screams of billions, I shall become their ultimate nemesis! They will know me by my name, the one they didn’t choose for me, but that I gave myself!”
The sun blazed brightly while giant tentacles made of blazing flames and volcanic rock manifested out of her body. The ground beneath everyone shook as countless cracks opened and thousands of hands made of lava poured out.
“Cower and cry, mortals! For I am Armageddon, the Mother Of Destruction and the bringer of the End!”
Baptizing herself with a new name, the new Goddess of Flames and Destruction was born.
