Chapter 1793: The Toughest Mother
Chapter 1793: The Toughest Mother
—–
“Not bad, but not there yet. I’m going to get serious now, so keep up.”
“UGH?!”
FLASH!
In that moment, the ant cried out, noticing Nepheline move forward. Despite how heavy her body was, she was so fast that the ant could not stop thinking how ridiculous this entire situation was.
“Hey, catch these.”
“AAAAAAGGH!”
The ant gnashed his mandibles as his aura rapidly erupted, transforming into a ferocious, six-armed insect giant, clashing against Nepheline’s Aura. At the same time, his four fists intercepted her attacks once more. Although they were destroyed before, they regenerated thanks to his sister’s assistance.
BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!
Nepheline’s Aura was incredibly strong, clashing against her foe’s aura and rapidly beginning to tear it apart with each punch. She ultimately kicked her foe’s stomach, blowing a hole through him again.
“GRUUAACK?!”
As the monster vomited his own intestines and fell, rolling over the ground, Nepheline ran toward him. Without giving him time to react, she summoned her Divine Soul Weapon.
Much like Allan and Shade, Nepheline didn’t require an external weapon to fight, using her own body and, of course, her Soul Weapon to battle.
Her original Legendary Weapon, the Great Cataclysmic Hammer: Atlas, which was once wielded by the First Hero of Stone, was given back to the inheritance by the rules.
However, she didn’t need it anymore. Having fought with it all this time, she assimilated the weapon’s power, shaping her own Soul Weapon in the process.
To the point she could manifest her own Atlas, stronger, faster, and much handier than an actual weapon.
The only one who actually wielded a weapon until now was Faylen, with her Divine Staff. Everyone else, Shade, Allan, Arafunn, and the others, usually wield Divine Soul Weapons.
Of course, Shade and Allan were given back Agni and Umbra, powerful Divine Relics that even possessed souls and were Intelligent Weapons.
However, for Nepheline, that was not the case…
And it wasn’t like she needed a Divine Relic anyway.
“{Divine Soul Weapon Manifestation}: {Great Cataclysmic Hammer: Atlas}!”
BAAAAM!
With a powerful swing, Nepheline crushed the ant’s head and torso with her massive hammer, crushing and quite literally flattening the creature into the ground before it could even react.
“UUAAARRGGHH!”
Its agonizing cry reverberated through the grounds for a second before the ant instantly died, pulverized completely. The impact of the hammer shattered the ground tremendously, spreading massive cracks and leaving behind an enormous crater throughout the entire nest.
“Phew! Well, this weapon is still strong, huh?”
As Nepheline smiled, glancing down at whatever was left of her foe, she noticed a divine barrier manifesting, and all of his remains fused back together into the ant she had just killed.
“Hm?! Oh, this is…! Divine Protection?!”
It would be an understatement to say that Nepheline wasn’t shocked. This was the first time she had ever fought a foe with such power as well.
“Interesting, so you truly are heroes, hm?”
“KRIEEEEEHHHHH!!!”
The muscular ant, once revived, leaped toward Nepheline, swinging all four of his claws against her and punching her stomach, face, legs, and arms, shattering her divine weapon and then kicking her down with all his blazing fury.
In his anger, he unleashed countless combo attacks, his power having tripled after reviving…
BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!
“Hahahaha!”
Nepheline, however, amidst the blazing attacks that could destroy an entire country, laughed. Her body was barely suffering scratches now, which made her laugh as they tickled.
“You’re getting there, little ant!”
She spun in midair, grabbing the ant’s upper right arm, and then coiled her legs around it before she tore it apart with a single push.
CRAASH!
“GRYYAAAAAAHHHHH?!”
The ant, confused and terrified, screamed as Nepheline tore apart his massive arm and then swung it against him like a weapon.
“But you still got a long way to go to even compare to us! You were just born, while we’ve been fighting and suffering near-death situations for over twenty years! What can you even know about being an actual hero, you damn fraud?!”
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
“S-STOP!!!”
The ant cried in agony and anger as he started bleeding from his dislocated jaw and crying, bulging eyes. His aura rapidly manifested, even stronger than before, as he roared angrily.
“KRIAAAAAARRRGGH!”
With his erupting ability, an endless ocean of burning lava engulfed Nepheline, touching her eyes and even entering through her ears and mouth.
“DROWN!!! DROWN IN BURNING MAGMA, YOU DAMN HUMAN!!!”
With all his power, the ant concentrated the magma into a single place, trying to compress it into a bubble until he couldn’t anymore and then…
“{Infernal Volcanic Nova}!!!”
FLASH!
The compressed sphere of flames and magma erupted, releasing bright red light before exploding into a massive, near-atomic-level explosion throughout the entire nest, blowing half of it away instantly, as giant boulders started falling everywhere.
BOOOMMM!!!
“That must…! That must’ve done it…!”
The ant looked around, standing in the middle of the massive hole he made…
He was nervous, fearing the worst.
And yet, there was peace, tranquility.
“Is it done?! I did it…! I KILLED HER!”
Crack, crack…!
“…?”
However, he heard the sound of stone shattering, noticing cracks throughout the entire floor beneath him.
And then…
BOOOM!
A metallic fist pierced through the stone as a gorgeous amazoness made of steel and crystals emerged, stepping out from her burial.
“W-Wha…?!”
The ant stepped back, completely flabbergasted by what he was seeing…
The woman not only took that blow head-on, but she even survived.
“That might’ve been the hottest bath I’ve ever taken.”
Nepheline slowly walked toward him, the ant almost paralyzed, barely taking a step back in surprise, horror, and disbelief.
“H-HOW?! HOW ARE YOU ALIVE?!”
And as he saw Nepheline walking toward him, he panicked, going completely insane! His aura regenerated once more, now even stronger than before…
Nepheline spat a large stone from her mouth before glaring back at the ant while furrowing her eyebrows. “What? Was I supposed to die from that? Hah… HAHAHAHAH!”
“…”
