Chapter 1630 1630: Walking Into The Ancient Cave
—–
Aquarina talked so much about Sylphy everyone could already imagine the girl inside of their heads way too much. Somehow Aquarina could describe her so well in detail it almost felt weird. She was definitely very in love with her, to the point it felt a bit like an obsession. They were shocked she didn’t outright abandon everything to go find her at the end.
“I do love her so much though, but I would never just abandon everything right now just for her…” Aquarina sighed. “Well, if she sent me some magic message telling me she wanted me by her side right now, I would go running… But! She clearly wants me here training, and she would get really mad if I went to her without doing the inheritance at least…”
“So you’re still doing this for her huh?” Silvia looked at Aquarina while squinting her eyes and crossing her arms. “You sure are one of a kind too Aquarina…”
“What’s wrong? She’s just my precious love of my life! I swear Aquarina is my everything and I would kill everyone here for her…”
“EH?!”
Everyone looked at her in shock…
“D-Did you actually believed that? I’m joking! Seriously you guys don’t take jokes well… Is this cuz you’re from the countryside or what?” Aquarina sighed.
“It’s not funny you dork!” Silvia smacked her head.
BONK!
“Gah! Hey!”
Aquarina rubbed her head but didn’t retaliate.
“I hoped it was a joke but you’re a bit weird sometimes, Aquarina,” Justicio said with the honesty of his heart.
“Weird?!” Aquarina complained, barking like a furious wolf. “I’m perfectly normal!”
“You’re a bit too crazy over some stuff, like fighting for example,” Silvia explained.
“Yeah,” Justicio nodded.
“Hmm…”
Aquarina looked around the jungle, trying to find a reason why she was the way she was.
And then she remembered something her mother said.
“Our tribe of Amazonians are descendants of mighty Warriors, we are prone of fighting and sparring all the time, and when we hunt or fight, we can feel our blood boil, it makes us stronger and also a bit wilder than other humans. Plus, you’re your father’s daughter. The Darkage family were all Assassins, you know? They also had strong bloodthirst. You were born capable of holding it back really well, but when you go hunting, you can’t help but enjoy fighting and seeing blood splatter, right? Yeah well, that’s how you are Aquarina, so you better practice self-control.”
Aquarina nodded while rubbing her chin, telling her friends just what her mom told her back then, a few years ago.
“So you’re built to be a killing machine?!” Justicio stepped back a few steps. “Uuuhh…”
For a moment he started to rethink their friendship!
“Aw come on are you going to be scared of me now? I’ve done so much for you bastard!” Aquarina grabbed Justicio and rubbed her knuckles on his head.
“Aack! S-Stop it! Aquarina it hurts!” he complained, despite being so tough he could smash stone with his head if he wanted.
“Heheh, take this for acting all scared! I’m yer pal!”
“Uugh… Okay sorry!”
She let him go after that, as Silvia giggled.
“Well, Aquarina might be a bit like that but she’s not evil or something, she’s our friend! And she has helped us so much we owe her everything,” Silvia hugged Aquarina and then kissed her cheek. “We love her! Right?”
“S-Silvia…” Aquarina blushed, feeling embarrassed.
Even with her other friends she was so close with, she didn’t quite feel this way. Maybe because they were all a family that was more interconnected.
Meanwhile, these few friends she made her, were more centered around her, similar to how it was with Sylphy and the others.
She was the leader now, and it felt much more different than she imagined…
“Yeah!” Agua nodded. “Mooch.”
Agua also kissed her other cheek; despite everything she said before.
“Y-You shouldn’t kiss me like this…” Aquarina felt embarrassed but didn’t say anything else.
“Lucky you… getting kissed by girls all the time…” Justicio groaned slightly jealously. “Anyway yeah she’s right, you’re my friend and I… well I love you as a friend. Um…”
“Awww! See?” Silvia giggled. “We’re like siblings or something! It’s cool! I never had friends like this before, hehe.”
“Thank you for accepting me…” Agua said. “I’m also happy to be part of this group…”
“Hahah… I didn’t even plan it,” Aquarina shrugged. “Things turned out this way at the end and I’m kind of happy… Maybe there’s another reason why I haven’t felt compelled to run back to my Sylphy. It’s because of you guys.”
Everyone fell a bit silent after she said that.
“I don’t want… to leave you behind, it’s weird…” Aquarina sighed. “I guess I really grew way too attached to you… dammit.”
“Aww!” Silvia giggled. “You didn’t have to say it like that! You got me all embarrassed!”
“So we’re important to you? Woah… I mean, I’m flattered…” Justicio muttered. “Thanks…”
“Aquarina…” Agua felt like crying a bit.
“Hmmm…” Aquarina felt like things got a bit too sweet already, it was too much. “Okay, let’s drop it for now, we got too corny… Where are we even going right now?”
“Ah! Right, it’s over there!” Agua pointed into the distance. “There’s a series of caves over those cliffs covered on moss and vines… There’s a small path of blue crystals.”
“What’s the cave called?” Asked Aquarina.
“It’s the Cave of Records! It is where our tribe paints! We paint the walls every year, adding the records of important events, writing down the children that were born, and so on,” she said. “Let’s go! We’ll need some light though.”
“I got that covered!”
“{Mini Sun}!”
Silvia conjured a sphere of sunlight.
FLAAASH!
For being so small, it was incredibly bright!
“Alright so, let’s not waste our time, let’s go… I’ve gotten a bit interested now…”
Aquarina and her friends walked into the cave, quickly finding the wonders of the Oasis Tribe, their artistic talents were indeed to be praised.
Although they weren’t as amazing as Sylphy’s photorealistic portraits of her friends and family Aquarina found in her sketchbooks, it was still incredible how they used colors and shapes!
“Welcome to the Cave of Records, everyone!”
