Reincarnated in a Fantasy World Where I Can Conquer All Women
Chapter 145: The Foundations of a New Network 2
He listed several examples.
"Manufacturing ordinary components."
"Testing known materials."
"Prototypes that don’t expose the full technology."
"General rune research."
Elaria added:
"And assembling components that don’t require absolute secrecy."
Adam nodded.
"That’s it."
He looked around.
"But the Archive data, the early computers, and the network prototypes..."
He tapped his foot lightly on the ground.
"Here."
Isadora thought for a few more seconds.
Then she nodded.
"That suits me."
Lyriana too.
"Safer." "
Elena added:
"And if someone discovers the lab, they’ll never discover the whole project."
Adam smiled.
"Compartmentalize the information."
Isadora nodded.
"Exactly."
Shiora raised a hand from her corner.
"And the business information?"
Adam looked at her.
"You can come back."
"Finally."
Astraea, who had been observing the blade for several minutes, finally spoke up.
"There’s still one obvious problem."
Adam turned his head.
"Which is?"
"The information is in this object."
She pointed to the blade.
"And so far, only you have accessed it."
Adam nodded.
"Yes."
"So either everyone learns how to use the Archive..."
She thought for a moment.
"Either we have to transcribe its contents."
Elaria immediately seemed less enthusiastic.
"There are a lot of books."
Adam replied:
"A lot."
"How many?"
"I haven’t counted."
He thought for a moment.
"Thousands, probably."
Silence.
Astraea smiled.
"Then I can take care of it."
Adam looked at her.
"Transcribe everything?"
"Not necessarily by hand."
She put down her cup.
"But I can dedicate some time to organizing and copying."
Lyriana raised an eyebrow.
"You?"
Astraea looked at her.
"What?"
"You just spent all of yesterday complaining that we were leaving you to work alone."
"Exactly."
Astraea smiled.
"During this period, I don’t have anything particularly urgent."
Then she looked at Adam.
"If you can extract the information gradually, I can file it and have it copied."
Adam thought about it.
It was doable.
Probably slow.
But doable.
"We could start with—"
VRRRR.
The room shook.
Everyone fell silent.
Adam looked around.
"...What have I done now?"
Selene sat up straight immediately.
Vespera stared at the walls.
Elaria stared at the floor.
A slight vibration rippled through the entire room.
Then the vast relaxation space began to shift.
The cushions moved gently.
The coffee table slid to one side.
And in the center of the room...
The floor opened.
Not abruptly.
A circular section descended a few centimeters.
Then something began to rise.
A pedestal.
Black.
Smooth.
With thin silver lines.
At the top...
A vertical opening.
Perfectly sized.
Adam looked at the blade he was still holding.
Then at the pedestal.
Then back at the blade.
"No."
Elaria raised a slight eyebrow.
"No what?"
"I’m starting to recognize when this Room wants me to put something somewhere."
A notification appeared.

Insert the Archive into the receptacle to allow a physical copy of compatible data.

Adam remained motionless.
Then he reread the last line.
"It will not be consumed..."
Vespera approached.
"What did she say?"
Adam explained.
Astraea burst out laughing.
"I withdraw my proposal."
Adam looked at her.
"You give up easily."
"The Chamber has just proposed doing in a few minutes what would have taken me weeks."
She shrugged.
"I know a better solution when I see one."
Adam looked at the pedestal again.
He still hesitated.
The blade likely contained centuries of knowledge.
Perhaps even more.
And even if the Chamber claimed not to destroy it...
Adam didn’t like putting an irreplaceable object into a mechanism he didn’t understand.
He remained like that for several seconds.
Then he sighed.
"Okay."
Lyriana looked at him.
"Are you going to do it?"
"This Chamber has already made our lives easier dozens of times."
He looked at the pedestal.
"And so far, it’s never tried to trap us."
He stepped closer.
"If I start to distrust it now, I’ll become paranoid."
Selene replied:
"A little paranoia is sometimes useful."
Lyriana nodded.
"A lot, actually."
Adam looked at them.
"Thank you for your support."
Then he inserted the blade.
Click.
For a second...
Nothing.
Then—
A gigantic magic circle appeared around the pedestal.
Purple.
Silver.
And black.
Dozens of symbols spun around the blade.
Vespera stood up immediately.
"These runes..."
Elaria did the same.
But before they could get any closer...
Another part of the Chamber reacted.
An opening appeared near the wall.
Then—
Fwoosh.
A whole stack of blank paper appeared.
Adam immediately recognized the material.
"It’s from storage."
A second stack appeared.
Then a third.
Then a fourth.
Shiora opened her eyes slightly.
"How much paper did we buy?" "
Adam looked at the batteries.
"Apparently not enough."
Leaves began to levitate.
One by one.
They passed over the magic circle.
And characters appeared on it.
Not slowly.
Instantly.
Texts.
schemas.
Diagrams.
Tables.
Rune formulas.
Mana structures.
Each sheet filled up before automatically joining other pages.
Then—
Click.
A cover appeared around the first set.
A complete book gently fell onto a small platform.
Its title:
Fundamental Principles of Mana Transmission
Adam opened his mouth slightly.
A second one followed.
Signal Propagation in Elemental Currents
Then:
Terrestrial Transmission
Atmospheric Transmission
Hydrotransmission
Signal Coding
Magical Repeaters
Transmission Loss Reduction
Identification and Addressing
Stream Synchronization
The books continued.
Again.
Again.
And again.
The machine seemed to be reproducing the entirety of the mental library Adam had seen in the Archive.
Vespera was no longer speaking.
Neither was Elaria.
Even Shiora had forgotten the money.
Which, for Adam, was probably the most impressive piece of evidence of the scene.
Dozens of books appeared.
Then hundreds.
The Chamber gradually reorganized the space.
Several temporary shelves emerged from the walls.
The books were automatically arranged on them according to their category.
Transmission.
Runes.
Materials.
History.
Architecture.
Security.
Networks.
Maintenance.
Interfaces.
Adam watched the process.
"I think our transcription problem has just disappeared."
Astraea folded her arms.
"I approve of this Chamber."
Lyriana smiled.
"Only now?"
"Officially now."
A few minutes later...
The magic circle slowed.
The last sheets were assembled.
Then the light disappeared.

Adam exhaled.
"Very well."
Elaria looked at him.
"Were you worried?"
"Of course I was worried."
He immediately put the blade back in his inventory.
"This item probably contains more technological knowledge than all the libraries in Valoria combined in this field."
Then he turned toward the bookshelves.
"Now..."
He approached the first book.
"Let’s see if the transcription is correct."
Adam picked up:
Introduction to the Basics of Manic Transmission
He opened it.
First page.
Same diagram.
Second.
Same explanation.
He quickly scanned several sections.
Exactly what he had seen in the mind space.
"It’s identical."
Vespera had already picked up a book.
Naturally.
She hadn’t taken the introduction.
Adam read the title she was holding.
Fundamental Runic Structures of Transmitters and Receivers
"Obviously."
Vespera didn’t even hear him.
She was already reading.
Elaria chose another book.
Conductive Alloys for Extended Transmission Circuits
Her eyes changed immediately.
"Adam."
"What?"
"They use alloys I don’t know about."
Adam approached.
Elaria showed him several compositions.
Not just iron.
Copper.
Mithril.
Rare metals.
And several materials Adam had never heard of.
