Reincarnated As The Villainess's Son
Chapter 593: [The Journey of Sun] [7] [Power]
I pointed my finger toward a massive sand dune several hundred metres away.
’Let’s start with something simple.’
I simply imagined something that could destroy the dune, and the instant the thought formed, the space around my fingertip warped.
A tiny golden sphere appeared which wasn’t larger than a golden marble.
But in just a few seconds, the marble began to grow in size until it became a small sun.
"...What?"
I stared at the miniature sun floating above my finger.
It looked almost identical to the real thing.
Its surface burned with countless golden flames while an intense gravitational force began pulling everything toward it.
WHOOSH!
Thousands upon thousands of kilograms of sand flew through the air and disappeared into the tiny sun.
The entire sand dune began collapsing toward my hand as though an invisible ocean had suddenly started flowing toward a drain.
"Shit!"
I could feel the amount of energy inside it increasing every second.
If I allowed it to continue growing, there was no telling how large it could become.
I quickly focused my mind. ’Disperse.’
The tiny sun instantly disappeared, and the desert became silent once again.
I stared at the enormous hole left behind where the sand dune had been. "...I almost destroyed the entire place."
If I hadn’t stopped it from growing, then perhaps the continent wouldn’t have survived a few seconds.
’That was probably not even a tenth of Amun-Ra’s power.’
I had already known that Amun-Ra was powerful, but knowing something intellectually and actually experiencing it were two completely different things.
I was holding the power of a God who had spent countless ages accumulating authority.
"...This is fucking ridiculous."
I shook my head. Getting depressed wouldn’t help.
If I was going to survive, I needed to understand what I could actually do.
I raised both hands and slowly clasped them together, and a bright golden flame appeared between my palms.
Unlike the miniature sun, this flame didn’t feel destructive. Rather, it felt... flexible.
I slowly separated my hands, and the flame stretched between them.
When I imagined a sword, the flames responded, and within seconds, a golden sword appeared between my hands.
I swung it once, and the blade was strong enough to cut through space as a small tear appeared in front of my face.
"...Interesting." I mumbled as I imagined a spear.
The sword immediately melted back into flames and transformed into a long spear.
The flames continued changing according to my thoughts, and if I concentrated, then I could create several weapons at once.
’These flames aren’t simply fire.’
They could be shaped into almost anything I could imagine, and because they were still flames, I could change their shape whenever I wanted.
I finally waved my hand, and the constructs dissolved into sparks.
"Next."
Three strange sensations immediately appeared around my face. To be specific, in my eyes.
The three eyes that represented the authorities of my Goddess daughters.
Each eye carried a different authority, and after everything I had experienced with them, activating them had become almost instinctive.
Still, there was something comforting about knowing they were available. ’At least these aren’t completely unfamiliar.’
Taking in a deep breath, I thought of something that was ingrained in my brain and instinct.
’Flow State.’
My senses expanded, and the world around me suddenly became quiet.
I could see every individual particle. The distant sound of something crawling beneath the sand reached my ears.
Everything began to slow down as if time had slowed down, but I quickly understood it was just my mind processing everything around me at an absurd speed.
I could predict the direction of every grain of sand, and I could feel the air moving against my skin.
’So this is Flow State.’
I took one step. My body moved before I consciously decided where to go, and I appeared several metres away.
My body wasn’t following conscious commands anymore.
It was following instinct.
I smiled. ’If I combine this with my time manipulation...’
Time manipulation already allowed me to interfere with the flow of time, but if Flow State allowed my body to react automatically...
Then I wouldn’t need to consciously activate my powers every time something attacked me, and I could move before my opponent even realized I had moved.
’That means almost any conventional attack would become useless.’
I wasn’t arrogant enough to believe I was invincible. There were beings in this world who could probably bypass even that.
I released the Flow State, and my body relaxed as the familiar weight of the world returned.
’Now that I am done with offensive skills, how about the thing that is in the back of my mind?’
I closed my eyes as I called upon something buried deep within the instincts of this body.
The moment I touched that instinct, golden-black scales erupted across my body.
They appeared from my neck and slowly went lower and lower until they covered my entire body.
The armor was beautiful, with black scales covering most of its surface while thin golden lines ran between them.
Each scale was slightly different from the others, giving the armor an organic appearance. It didn’t look like something that had been forged.
"...These are Apophis’s scales." I mumbled as I touched those scales with my hand.
Amun-Ra had taken them from the giant serpent and made them part of his body.
When I clenched my hand, the scales responded immediately, tightening around my arm.
I moved my body but found no restriction. The armor moved with me like a second skin.
Finally, I willed upon the final thing that completed my arsenal.
I reached toward empty space, and golden light gathered beside my hand.
A long staff slowly emerged from it.
The moment my fingers wrapped around the weapon, a strange feeling spread through my body.
’...The Was-scepter.’
The divine weapon associated with Amun-Ra.
Its long shaft was covered in intricate golden patterns. The head formed the strange shape I had seen in countless murals.
I slowly raised it, and a pulse of divine energy spread through the desert that covered the entire world.
"...So this is the weapon of the Sun God."
I looked down at the Was-scepter again, and the weapon felt strangely natural in my hand.
Almost as though I had been using it for thousands of years.
Perhaps some of Amun-Ra’s instincts remained inside this body or perhaps the weapon itself recognized its master.
I slowly spun it once before resting it against my shoulder, yet despite all of this power, one thought remained in my mind.
’None of this matters if I don’t understand the game.’
Letting out a sigh, I let go of the staff, which vanished into thin air, and the armor moved back inside my body.
Stretching my body, I flew back into the air. In just a few seconds, I reached my palace.
The moment I stepped inside the palace, the familiar silence greeted me.
Letting go of my control, I landed perfectly on the balcony as I walked inside the place.
’...I need information.’
And there was only one person who could give me information... Amunet.
’...There must be a reason why Azrael allowed her to be the referee. I can’t be stupid enough to give such an advantage to Amun-Ra.’
Thinking about all the future possibilities he had seen, there was no way he would let Amun-Ra win just like that.
’...Think, Himmel, fucking think.’
I let out a sigh as I rubbed my face with both my hands.
As I was walking through the corridor aimlessly, a soldier saw me and ran toward me.
He knelt down and lowered himself until his head touched the ground.
"There is someone waiting for you in the throne room, my lord," he said in a trembling voice.
I tilted my head and asked, "Who?"
"God Anubis," he replied, his body trembling in fear. "He said it was important."
"...I see."
I didn’t give the soldier any hard time as I walked past him without a word.
It took me only a few seconds to reach the throne room as the gate opened for me.
The throne room was almost completely empty. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂
Only a few guards stood along the walls, their heads lowered the moment I entered.
At the far end of the enormous hall stood a single figure.
Black robes covered his body, while a strange jackal-like head rested above his shoulders.
’....Anubis.’
The God of Death stood silently in front of the throne as though he had been waiting for me for a long time.
The moment his eyes met mine, he immediately lowered his head.
"My lord."
I continued walking until I was only a few metres away from him.
"Why are you here?"
Anubis slowly raised his head.
"Lady Isis sent me here." He looked into my eyes. "...She was worried about your behaviour and sent me here to make sure your soul is fine."
"..."
I stared down at the God of Death as my mind crunched with hundreds of thoughts.
’...Fuck.’
This is going to be a tricky situation to deal with.
