Reincarnated As The Heroes Guide

Chapter 63: Level 3 Benefits

Chapter 63: Level 3 Benefits

The other students came over to turn in their quests, and Kalli had to resist the urge to cry tears of joy as she saw her points beginning to refill.

They had completed many copies of the hard mode quest, as well as the Rat Demon hunting quest. That was enough that she was no longer severely short on points, even after supplying the base during the attack.

"Should we return these to you now that the battle is over?" One of the warriors asked, indicating his spear.

"No need. It’s not like I can get a refund for them, so keep them and make good use of them."

The students smiled. The Coordinator was good to them. Well, they would have likely died if she wasn’t, so there was that. But still, she didn’t splurge on herself, though she clearly had access to all the good stuff.

Kalli just saved the points for emergencies to spread them through the ones who needed it most.

Perhaps that’s why she got the Class?

{Requirements met} Level 3 reached.

{Quest Acceptance Radius Increased}

Knowing that the System didn’t tell her everything, Kalli subtly checked her body as the advancement message came in, and found that she should be more agile than she used to be.

Her muscles reacted even faster, and rapid movements felt effortless in a way that they never did before.

The others should be getting the same sorts of benefits as the levelled up.

"Miss Kalli, I reached level two!" Beth, one of the two tinkers who specialized in repairing equipment, announced as she came to claim her quests.

"Oh? I didn’t know that you were fighting. I was just thinking of finding a way for you to get more experience," Kalli lied smoothly.

"I wasn’t. But there was so much damaged gear, that I started right away, and now I’m level two. I think I might even reach level three soon with so much work to do."

"Well, in a way, that’s a good thing. The higher your level, the easier it will be for you to keep everything repaired. Plus, they will be bringing better stuff to you to repair soon, and you’ll likely need to be higher level to do the job.

At least it doesn’t make you do things that you’re not well suited for just to advance.

If you can advance with just repair work, these ladies and gentlemen will gladly keep your growth steady."

The warriors laughed, and Bert gave a wiggle of his thick hips in his new Composite Battle Armour.

"There will be much repair work. This looks far too good not to have it in perfect condition."

Currently, his armour had extensive damage to it, including multiple broken plates. He had been on the front line, and while he was healed constantly, his armour had taken quite a beating and his shield was in even worse shape.

"Take off the gear, and I will start the repairs, I’ve got a few mana."

The burly warrior patted her on the shoulder as he swapped the bodysuit for a set of leather pants, leaving himself shirtless.

"Damn bro, leave some ladies for the rest of us." Reggie shouted, making most of the other students laugh.

"You’re just jealous of my chest fur."

"Dammit, I just ate. Put that away!"

Kalli laughed at their antics as everyone unwound after the battle. They were all exhausted, stressed and terrified of what was going to happen next. But the joking helped distract them from it all.

"Don’t go anywhere. After today, I think that half the group wants upgraded armour. We might all end up looking like we’re in a science fiction movie, but that composite armour is just too good for the money.

But do you have masks?

The air is terrible and getting worse. If the wind shifts and those fires start blowing ash our way, we’re going to need them."

"I have both masks and goggles. If you need other daily supplies, please let me know, as I have, or can get, most of them."

"Got it. We will count on you to supply most of what we need.

But I don’t suppose that you can get anything like healing and mana potions, can you? Those sorts of things are the basics in video games."

Kalli quickly searched for potions and shook her head. "Looks like you’ll have to find someone who can make them because they’re not on my list of supplies. They might become available later, but for now, I certainly don’t have anything of the sort.

I have first aid kits, and a few medicines. But nothing that would replace a healer."

"Those first aid kits are amazing in an emergency. We should get some more of those when we have points. But first, armour. I can’t think of anyone here who doesn’t want to have the good armour after today.

There are simply too many weak points in the stuff we’ve been getting from the monsters." Niall agreed.

"I’ve also got Uncommon Grade shields available now. They’re only two points, and much more durable than the Common ones." Kalli offered.

Some of the warriors nodded, but most of them had already managed to find an Uncommon Grade shield. It just needed repairs after today’s battle. If they didn’t have Beth and Jane, they would be in real trouble right now.

But as they thought about it, they needed to get further out to find more surviving students.

Most of them hadn’t gone more than a kilometre through the city so far because that’s where they were finishing their missions. But if they were going to find more students, they needed to actually look for them.

There might even be some powerful ones, like Esmeralda, who might be willing to come back to the Academy.

The Necromancer seemed to have no trouble holding her home against the monsters and everything else. She had even taken the time to guide other students their way. So, there should be others with similarly powerful basic abilities.

They just had to find them.
