Reincarnated as an Energy with a System

Chapter 1792: Unending Onslaught

Chapter 1792: Unending Onslaught

Shara felt her energy vanishing by the moment. Each passing second, she could feel more and more of her energy leaving her body. Soon, she wouldn’t have enough energy to keep herself from getting hit.

She tried to run away. She tried to fight back.

Nothing worked.

The prince continued his onslaught, a maniacal look on his face. He taunted her too, but Shara was too tired and too distracted to listen to anything he had to say.

She focused only on keeping herself alive. She only had to keep herself alive for 4 more minutes. But she feared she didn’t have that much time. Her energy was going to run out faster.

What was she to do? She needed more energy. Could she absorb it from Jema’s burnt corpse? Had the prince already taken it?

Where else was she supposed to find more energy?

Shara was reaching dangerously close to having no energy, to entirely losing her ability to turn intangible for something else. That failed to scare her when death loomed at the end.

Shara began stopping her power from time to time, using it only when the mace came or the sword sprayed her with water. Other times, she simply dodged. She wanted to keep going like that for as long as she could, but the prince seemed to notice what she was doing.

One of those times, he whipped her at a weird angle. Since Shara hadn’t intended to dodge it, she blocked. However, instead of striking her, the whip spun around her spear.

“No!” Shara cried mere moments before her spear was stripped away from her.

The spear fell into the prince’s arm, which he looked at for a good few seconds before grabbing it with his appendage. There was one more thing for Shara to worry about now.

Shara just needed to wait for 2 more minutes now, but her energy had all but disappeared.

The prince paused all of a sudden, letting out a monstrous laugh. “You thought you could win,” he shouted. “You and the others, you all thought you could kill me, the Emperor. NEVER!”

He pointed his sword toward her, the other two weapons held up in the air with his other two appendages. “You are all out of power now. Grovel at my legs and I shall give you an easy death.”

Shara took a step back, thinking about her options. What should she do now? Her weapon had been stolen and her energy was all but gone.

She had lost.

Should she give up?

’No,’ Shara thought. She had to kill him. He was there when her parents were killed. He was the one who sent soldiers after her, forcing her to run away.

He needed to die.

But how? If only she had a moment to do something.

The prince’s other weapons were strong, but the one that was the most annoying was the red mace. Being touched with it alone exploded whatever body part it touched.

She could maybe handle the whip, and maybe dodge the sword when it came for her. But there was no dodging the mace if it attacked next to where she stood. The shrapnels alone would kill her.

’If only I can get rid of the mace,’ she thought. With the mace gone, she could dodge around much better. But that was just wishful thinking.

How could she rid the prince of the mace? He was holding onto it, and he was certainly stronger than her. There was nothing she could do.

’If only I can get rid of its power, I wouldn’t have to worry as much…’ Shara thought. ’If only I…’

Power. Energy.

Shara’s eyes flashed.

Could it work?

If Spiritual Artifacts were made with spectral energy, could she take it away from it to make it useless?

Could she gain more energy?

There was no time to think.

Shara crouched suddenly, the action taking the prince by surprise.

“Oh, you’re actually going to grovel at my feet?” he asked, laughter filling the empty field. “Did you think I was telling the truth? No, bitch. I will make you my puppet and have you feel every second of the rest of your miserable life as you live without control of your own body.”

He raised his whip, ready to slam down when he suddenly noticed something. In his vision, he saw Shara grabbing onto something slightly glowing.

“A dagger?” he asked with laughter. “You don’t have the energy to use the dagger either. What will you even d— NO!”

The prince brought down the whip immediately, but it was too late.

Shara grabbed onto the dagger, taking a deep breath. She used whatever power it was within her that could help her absorb it all. She used the power of a Reaper.

The dagger lost its lustre and pattern, turning back into a regular assassin dagger as everything that made it what it was, was taken away by Shara.

Shara took in a deep breath as she felt the energy from it filling her body. It wasn’t a lot of energy, but it was enough.

She activated her power as the whip came down and it passed right through her. She stopped concealing herself, letting the prince see her. She wanted him to see the face of the one that was going to kill him soon.

The prince swung around with his weapons, running forward to try and kill her. With four weapons, he had a much easier time with it.

“Do you think you can survive?” he shouted. “Do you think you’ve achieved anything with that measly bit of power? The best you’ve done is bought yourself a couple more minutes. It is just going to take me that much longer to kill you.”

Shara looked at the prince, standing still where she was as nothing could touch her. She stared him in the eyes and said, “I have bought a few minutes, yes. But that is all that I need.”

She raised her left arm, the Summoner’s bracelet within it slowly becoming active again. It had been 10 minutes since the lizard died, so she now had the ability to summon another beast.
