Chapter 1506 Battle in the Garden
1506 Battle in the Garden
Ning arrived outside of the giant palace and stopped when he heard fighting and yelling.
He quickly snuck into the garden area and arrived in the middle of a battle between a few men and women on one side and 6 women on the other.
“System, did we come in the middle of something something?” Ning asked.
<Yogarthis has taken hostage a woman, and these 6 women and a man inside the palace are here to rescue her from him>
Ning didn’t do anything immediately and instead surveyed the situation and area for a little bit longer.
A woman with straight-cut black hair and black clothes dashed toward one of the people standing before her. She raised her sword, slashing down at the person, only for her blade to be stopped right before it could hit the person.
3 of Yogarthis’ people had come together to hold hands so that they could use nodules of one another to create a large barrier of air that had stopped the sword lady’s blade.
Something flew at the woman from the side, but something grew out of the earth right before the woman, stopping the attack. The sword lady turned around to look at an orange-haired woman in white clothes before nodding toward her.
The orange-haired lady nodded back and then went back to what she was doing. She continued using her Flow Art to complete the thing she had begun.
The bit of rock that had grown out of the ground slowly grew more and more as something large appeared from the ground. It brought out an arm to slam at the side and then another one to slam on another side.
It grew even more as it fully stood on the battlefield, a 20-meter-tall mass of rock, puppeteered by the woman with orange hair. It was a Rock Golem, a Flow Art that not only required one to have a lot of Worldly Energy in their core but also a complicated technique that consisted of 40 different elemental Nodules as well as 4 Spirit nodules.
The other women did not let the golem distract them.
One of the women with purple hair immediately used her Flow Art to meld with the shadow, appearing behind another enemy some distance away where she stabbed the person in the heart and then slit his throat.
Another woman with her brown hair tied to a ponytail jumped up high and came back down. Her descent seemed to be affected by a flow art she used, which improved her speed of falling.
A giant hammer appeared out of nowhere as the woman slammed it down on the ground, releasing a large shockwave of energy that hit all around her.
The sword lady continued her fight, quickly attacking those who were distracted. Her sword skills were polished, as good as any out there. Not a single one of her movements was wasted, not a single attack that didn’t go for the kill.
Two bodies dropped and she moved to the third one, who had come together with a few more people to use some sort of skills.
The Sword Lady did not care that she was going to be attacked. She readied her attack instead.
A bolt of lightning the size of a tree trunk flew toward the sword lady. However, just before it was about to hit her, a flash of silver appeared in front of her and the lightning bolt disappeared into the light.
Somewhere in the distance, a group of people were suddenly struck by a lightning bolt and hurt.
A woman arrived behind the sword lady, one with beautiful silver-white hair and a cold look on her face.
She placed her hands on the sword lady’s back, allowing her to send her Flow into her body. The sword lady seemed to know exactly what she needed to do.
She sent her energy flowing around in a complicated pattern before sending it into the woman behind her. She had complete control over the nodules inside that woman’s body and knew exactly what it was that she needed to access.
She found the nodules she was looking for, the very rare Space nodules, and brought it back into herself where she let the flow back into the core, completing the loop.
She activated the attack and swung her sword.
A deep silver slash carved the space in half, cutting it as it approached the group of people. The ones that had just released an attack quickly pushed themselves to create a barrier of air in front of them.
None of those could stop the spatial slash.
The enemies were cut in half, their body parts strewn all around the garden.
The sword lady took a pause and fell to her knees. The attack had taken a lot more out of her than she could handle.
“Let me heal you, sister!” the last woman of the group who didn’t seem to be much of a fighter arrived next to the sword lady, placing her hands on her body.
Within seconds, green light shined from the blonde-haired woman’s hands, healing the sword lady. The woman took away her hands and placed them on the body of the silver-haired woman, healing her too.
“Thank you,” the two women said before moving toward the rest of the fight where the giant golem, the killer in the shadows, and the woman with the hammer were still wreaking havoc on the remaining enemies.
Ning watched in somewhat surprise, as the women took care of the matter rather easily. However, just as he was thinking that, an explosion rang loud in the garden.
Ning looked through the dirt cloud and saw a man who had been tossed outside from the palace.
“Damian!” a woman cried out, and the other 5 moved toward him.
“You idiots!” a man walked out from the open wall of the palace and cursed at the dead men and women that surrounded his garden.
“All this power I gave you, and for nothing.”
Ning looked at the man. “Well, looks like we found Yogarthis.”
