Chapter 1483 Edward Vol Morgian

1483  Edward Vol Morgian

The 6 treasures Tim brought out had shocked every single person right there to a point beyond disbelief. They stared at the items put onto the tray in total dumbfoundedness.

“Is… is this all?” Colonel Jane asked, finding it hard to hide the shock from her voice.

“This is all,” Tim said.

There was of course the Book of Treasures too which he hadn’t pulled out. But because the book as quite large and heavy, it was too uncomfortable for Tim to carry around through long journeys.

So he let Ning carry it around instead while they were on a journey. At the moment, the book was with Ning, who hadn’t brought it out so it remained hidden.

Colonel Jane looked at all the treasures through her magnifying glass and breathed heavily as all 11 items registered in her glass as a Zurin treasure. Saʀch* Th NƟvelFre.et website on Ggl to access chapters of nvels early and in the highest quality.

“Incredible,” she exclaimed softly but said nothing more than that. Many people came here who did not wish to talk about their wealth or treasures, and it was Jane’s job to not ask any questions.

“We will pat you down, and then you can enter,” the colonel said, letting Ning and the rest follow her toward the other guards.

They let themselves get patted down, and once nothing was found on them, they were allowed in.

Beyond the gates, the compound was a large colorless factory with constant steam coming up front the top. There were some trees in the compound, but most of them had been completely cut down, with only the stumps remaining.

The colorless factory itself was large and wide, enough to fit thousands of workers if need be.

As they entered, Jacob began explaining what the factory was and how it worked. There were tons of special rooms, each with people constantly working on stuff that was given to them by Zarius.

Zarius himself was in one of the many rooms, working on his new invention. Aside from just a place to work, the factory also held places where people lived.

An entire section of the building had to be built just for the workers to live in.

“What are they making?” Ning asked as they made it through the balconies that looked down at the workers, all of whom seemed to be busy with many many things. “Surely the Inventor won’t need these many people just to invent something.”

“No, these people are different. From time to time, Sir Zarius comes up with ideas that are good but not important enough for himself to work toward. So instead, he has a slew of scientists and workers working on his behalf to complete those ideas.”

“And who gets the right to that idea?” Ning asked. “Do any of these scientists get anything?” “These ideas once developed are patented as well, and when they’re sold, of the 30% share that belongs to sir Zarius, the scientist gets a third of the income.”

“That is enough incentive for them to work hard,” Jacob said.

Ning nodded and looked down at the scientist, looking at the closest one who seemed to be working with some clothes and needles. After watching him for a bit, Ning realized that the man was trying to make a sewing machine.

Ning looked at one that wasn’t working with fabric, but instead with vials and colors, and realized that he was most likely trying to create a better ink of sorts.

Looking at everyone else who worked down there, it did indeed appear as though everyone was working toward something that wasn’t a major world-changing invention.

“Do they go home at all?” Jasmine asked.

“No scientist who has agreed to work on one of Sir Zarius’s ideas is allowed to go home until that idea is fully brought to reality. Anything in their mind that is not patented yet cannot be allowed to leak to the public just in case someone else patents it before us.”

“You sure focus on the security a lot,” Ning said. “So, where is Sir Zarius?”

“He should be working right now. How about you guys rest for a bit and we’ll notify Sir Zarius of your presence,” Colonel Jane said.

Ning and the rest nodded and were taken to a large lounging area with quite a few people in there already. Everyone looked like some sort of important figure, one of which was clearly more important than the rest.

Sitting on one of the couches, surrounded by many men in dark suits and hats, was a young man in his mid-20s. He was a tall and handsome young man with a freshly shaven face and well-combed hair.

He wore a tight-fitting red shirt along with bright white pants.

Jacob paused for a moment when he entered and looked at the man. Immediately, he got onto one knee and bowed down before the man.

“Greetings, Your Highness,” the man said, letting Ning and the others guess the identity of this man.

“Is he a prince of the Morgian family?” Ning asked the colonel in a whisper.

“He’s the second prince. Prince Edward Vol Morgian III,” the colonel said quickly.

Jasmine and Tim bowed slightly at the mere mention of the man’s name, but Ning remained upright.

“Greetings, Prince Edward.”

Ning walked over to one of the free couches away from the prince and sat down.

The prince looked at Jasmine for a moment, smiling mysteriously before turning to look at Ning. “Not just anyone is allowed into this place. May I ask who you are?”

“My name is Ning. But I doubt you know who I am, given I’ve done nothing to get my name out there.”

“Sir Ning,” the prince said. “What brings you to this place?”

“I came to meet Sir Zarius and see if I can invest in him,” Ning said “Is Your Majesty here for the same reason?”

“No, my reason for arrival is a little different,” the prince said. “I wish you good luck.”

Ning couldn’t help but chuckle internally at how easily the prince had closed the conversation right then.

‘Well, time to wait then.’
