Chapter 1447 Golden Hook
Chapter 1447 Golden Hook
Tim opened his Book of Treasures, while invisible, and slowly moved it toward the golden hook that the Captain Hook had on his left hand.
The captain was seemingly half drunk, alcohol completely covering his thick beard, his tricorne completely slipping to the side.
As he was doing it, a voice quickly shut down every word in the bar.
“Who dares cause a ruckus in my bar?” a man with thin blonde hair, wearing dark red pirate garments and a silver eyepatch walked out.
He looked toward the big man who now had turned toward the man who had appeared.
Silvereye.
“Who are you? And why do you—”
Silvereye paused in his words as he stared at the figure. He stared for a moment before raising his left hand and raising his hand. He snapped his finger.
Suddenly, the enormous man turned into motes of light, disappearing before everyone’s eyes.
Silvereye’s single eye widened just as everyone’s else as he failed to comprehend what had happened just now. But he saw the opportunity to put himself up in front of everyone else.
“Aha!” Silvereye said loudly. “I had expected some sort of shenanigans from this man. I knew he could not be real.”
Jasmine frowned when she saw what had happened. Her illusion was removed so very easily. What had been done to it?
Tim finally touched the hook and activated the book. Suddenly, a golden glow appeared from the book as it recorded the hook and started writing down what the hook was and what it did.
Jasmine’s eyes widened in fear as she had not expected the book to glow suddenly.
She had not prepared for it.
Everyone saw the golden glow, Captain Hook most of all.
“What in the seven seas is going on here?” he shouted quickly, pulling out a pistol to point in the direction, and the people beyond the pistol scurried away to get out of the way.
Jasmine and Tim moved away as well, but Silvereye had already moved in their direction and he snapped where the golden glow had appeared from.
The invisibility on Tim disappeared with the snap, revealing the young man holding onto the golden book that still somewhat shined.
Fortunately, Jasmine had not been made visible, so she had some chance at whatever was going to happen next.
Jasmine ran away instantly among the chaos, beckoning Tim to go with him as well.
Tim was about to move when suddenly he felt something tug on his book. Before he could realize it, the Book of Treasures was pulled away from him, flying into the hands of the man with the golden hook.
“What do we have here?” Captain Hook said while he stared at the large tome with the brilliant golden cover and the expensive-looking features.
“Silver, what do you think this says?” he showed the book toward Silvereye.
People moved away from the way as Silvereye made his way toward Tim and the other captain with a pistol ready to shoot at wherever he wanted to.
“Is that what that kid held on to, Gold?” Silver asked.
“That he did,” Captain Hook said as he handed Silvereye the book. Silvereye took the book and secretly read the book. His eyes widened at the name alone. He did not say the name out loud.
“Is this your book, little man?” he asked.
Tim freaked out on the inside, thinking of how he could get out of the situation. He had tried to use his powers from his jewelry box just now, but for some reason, he could not activate it at all.
Something was seemingly blocking his connection with the box. “It is mine,” Tim said, seeing no other thing he could do in this situation.
Silvereye flipped through the book, noticing many empty golden pages, with a few that were filled. The book almost opened to the page with the Golden Hook drawing on its own, surprising Silvereye. He read the text slowly and came to understand a lot about the hook that he previously did not know about.
“What does it say?” Captain Hook asked.
“It knows what your hook does,” Silvereye said. “Can pull any object within 100 meters of you toward you. The more the object’s apparent weight is, the more it will hurt your mind to use it. There is a possibility to faint if you overdo it.”
Golden Hook frowned. “You didn’t have to say it all out loud,” he said.
“You asked for it,” Silvereye said, flipping through the books to read more. “There is quite the interesting stuff listed here. A watch that can tell how your immediate future can be, a gun that gives someone a headache, a jewelry box that can do a lot of things.”
Silvereye turned toward Tim, pointing his gun toward him. “You have one chance to answer me. Tell me what this book is?” he asked.
Tim did not take the chance at all. He answered it clearly.
“It is my Zurin treasure that can help me record the history of any Zurin treasure, so long as I can get it onto the book,” Tim said.
“Did you collect Gold’s hook’s information just now?” Silvereye asked. “Were you not here to steal for it?”
“No, I was only here to get the information, nothing else,” Tim answered.
“Who do you work for?” Captain Hook asked, pointing his gun toward Tim.
“Nobody,” Tim said quickly. “I am just doing this because I was—”
“Now, now,” Silvereye said, calming Captain Hook. “We have more to learn here. How were you invisible?” Tim’s eyes widened and he shut his mouth, refusing to speak.
“Interesting. Has to be a treasures effect,” Silvereye said, flipping through the book. “Ah, here it is. It’s a ring.”
The man looked at Tim. He wore no ring. But the ring had to be worn to be used, it said so in the book.
‘Invisible,’ Silvereye realized. ‘There’s someone else.’
Just as he thought that, something slammed into him, sending him crashing onto Captain Hook, as they both stumbled to the ground.
