Reincarnated as an Energy with a System

Chapter 1063 Born

Ning wasted no time and teleported Ely to a room he had previously prepared. It was full of artifacts and formations that gave them not just privacy but also sanitary and highly defensive.

Ely quickly took off her robe and lay on the soft bed as the delivery was beginning.

Ning paused for a few seconds, wondering if he should have gotten some doctor instead, but he was the best doctor he knew, so he didn’t feel right employing someone else. He just couldn’t find it in himself to trust them to succeed.

Ely herself knew what she had to do, so she waited for the baby to start making its way out.

Ning got next to her and talked to her to keep her mind occupied with other thoughts than whatever pain she would feel, but as a cultivator, she didn’t need that. Her pain tolerance was high enough already that she could handle it all.

Ning still did what he could and even let everyone know that the baby was coming.

There wasn’t as much struggle with the baby coming out at all. Ely pushed for a few minutes and the baby stuck its head out.

A little more and the baby was entirely out.

Ning held the baby, and before he could even look at the gender, he was in awe.

The shock of becoming a father was one thing, but thisโ€ฆ this was not something he ever expected at all. Heck, this was not something he even knew was possible.

A weird look appeared on his face. “What the hell?”

* * * * * *

Everyone from Ning’s Grandmother to Chase’s family was gathered in Ning’s mansion, waiting for them to come out of the delivery room with the good news.

Suddenly, everyone turned around as they sensed Ning and Ely’s presence. They stood around quietly as the two of them slowly walked up.

They walked through the door and arrived in the living room with everyone already gathered.

Ning held the baby while Ely walked in slowly beside him. They both had slightly teary eyes and a smile on their faces.

“Guys,” Ning said. “Let me introduce you all to the newest addition to our family.”

He slowly turned so everyone could see their child that was snuggly sleeping in a comfy white blanket. “This is our daughter.”๐“ž๐”ณ๐‘™xt.๐“’๐’ช๐‘š

The tiny face of the baby girl that was seen through the blanket was enough to make most of them tear up immediately.

Ning’s Uncle was the first to come forward. “HAHAHA! Amazing. Finally,” he said. “Congratulations to both of you.”

“Master!” Blue shouted. “Let me hold little miss in my hand.”

“No, let me do it first,” Sorlus spoke.

Ning smiled and turned toward his grandmother who was tearing up. “Here, grandma,” he said as he passed along his newborn daughter to her.

Bak Jung-Hwa couldn’t help but tear up as she held her great-granddaughter. She had held many great-grandchildren and even some great-great Grandchildren already, but this was the first one she had been waiting to hold and after nearly 75 years of waiting, she was finally here.

“You two have suffered a lot of mental distress waiting for this child to be born,” she said. “I am very happy for you two right now.”

“Thank you, grandmother,” Ely said softly.

The baby immediately started crying out loud. “Oh no, I woke her up,” the old woman said. “Hi-Ah, come hold her.”

Hi-Ah nodded, held her niece in her hand, and softly hummed.

Everyone’s children started gathering around to look at the newborn, while the adults went to congratulate the two new parents.

“Oh, she had your eyes, cousin,” Hi-Ah said. “Her nose though looks like its sister Ely’s.”

“Let me see,” Chase came and took her from Hi-Ah.

“Hello, little girl. I am your uncle,” Chase spoke with his rough voice, and immediately the child started crying again.

Chase tried to calm her down, but he couldn’t help but be sad that she wasn’t calming down.

Hi-Ah took the baby again and let her children gather around to watch the newborn girl.

The newborn girl stopped crying and looked around curiously at what was in front of her.

“Right, did you guys think of any names yet?” Hi-Ah asked.

“I was thinking of giving her my mother’s name, but it didn’t feel right, so I decided not to,” Ning said. “As for other names, I only just found out I have a daughter, so it’s better if the one who has known it forever is to answer.”

“I have a few names,” Ely said. “How about you guys help me decide if it feels right or not.”

As soon as Ely started speaking, the child’s head slowly turned to look toward her mother. It was as if she could recognize the sound of her mother from a crowd of people even after having just been born.

Ely continued speaking, saying different names, and discussing which worked.

The newborn baby moved around a little and managed to free her hand from the blanket that was wrapped around her. She slowly pulled her hand out and reached out.

She reached towards Hi-Ah who was closest to her. Hi-Ah noticed and smiled as she got her cheeks close to the baby’s hands.

Ning’s eyes went wide and quickly sprinted across the room and grabbed the baby’s tiny arm before putting it back in the blanket.

“She will get cold,” he said. “Let me take her back.”

The others wanted to hold her too, but Ning decided not to do that. If they handled her wrong, there was a chance of someone being injured, and it was definitely not the baby.

He took his daughter back and smiled at her, who also gave a soft, innocent smile back.

“That is what I liked the best to begin with,” Ely said, finishing her list.

“That sounds lovely,” the rest said.

Ning looked towards her. “You landed on a name?” he asked.

“Yes,” Ely said. She looked at her child. “How does Emma sound?”

Ning repeated the name. “Emmaโ€ฆ I think that sounds lovely.”
