Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 746 - 745: Let the Melee Rage On! Like It? Take It by Force

Chu Sheng glanced into the abyss and continued speaking.

"People like that, who think they’re so clever, are always the first to grow jealous."

"As long as he’s alive, he’ll definitely be down there in ambush, waiting for a chance to get revenge."

"He’ll keep playing his petty tricks, too. Sowing discord, inciting a free-for-all, all just to get his revenge."

"There are over a hundred people down there, and none of them trusted each other to begin with. They’re all nursing their own schemes."

"Even if they know it’s a plot by that Loose Cultivator, there’s no way to stop it. They’ll be forced to join the fray."

"It’ll be kill or be killed."

"Once they’re seeing red, no one will care who started it."

Gu Yuexi nodded, completely agreeing with Chu Sheng’s analysis.

She asked, "When are we going down?"

Chu Sheng said leisurely, "No rush. Let the chaos fly a little longer."

They waited another five minutes.

The sounds of battle from below gradually faded.

"It’s over," Gu Yuexi said.

Chu Sheng flew out from an inner pocket.

"Pull me into your Beast Pet Space. Let’s go."

Gu Yuexi nodded.

With a light wave of her hand, a gentle force enveloped Chu Sheng, pulling him into her Beast Pet Space.

Then, pushing off with the tips of her toes, she leaped into the abyss.

Her body fell rapidly.

Halfway down her descent,

She clearly felt herself pass through a thin, almost invisible Barrier.

This special Barrier had no offensive or defensive capabilities.

Passing through it felt like nothing more than a gentle breeze, with no turbulence or resistance.

Gu Yuexi immediately understood.

’This must be the special Power of Law that blocks Cultivators at the Divinity Transformation Realm and above.’

’The Beast Pet Space is part of a Beast Tamer’s Lifebound Space, integrated with the Beast Tamer herself, so of course this Barrier of Law wouldn’t be able to detect it.’

If she hadn’t pulled Chu Sheng into her Beast Pet Space,

she would have been able to enter safely on her own.

But Chu Sheng, at the Divinity Transformation Realm, would have been blocked by the Barrier.

A few moments later, Gu Yuexi landed steadily at the bottom of the abyss.

The place had already become a Chaotic Scene.

Of the hundred-plus Cultivators who had entered the abyss, at least two-thirds had died here.

Corpses were piled on top of each other, and fresh blood stained the ground red.

The other Cultivators who had been lucky enough to survive hadn’t even bothered to collect their spoils, simply pressing forward to explore.

Gu Yuexi didn’t immediately move forward.

Instead, with a thought, she summoned Chu Sheng from her Beast Pet Space.

Chu Sheng flapped his wings, sensing the suppression of the Laws around them.

Just as he’d thought, the interior of the Land of Burial placed no restrictions on those at the Divinity Transformation Realm.

The Barrier only screened who could enter at the entrance.

"Let’s go."

Chu Sheng gave a few flaps of his wings and landed leisurely on Gu Yuexi’s shoulder.

Gu Yuexi nodded and headed forward down the only wide passageway before them.

The stone walls on either side of the passage were covered in ancient markings that bore the traces of time.

After about ten minutes of walking,

An open Bronze Gate appeared on their right. Beyond it lay a massive stone chamber.

Chu Sheng was somewhat surprised.

"It seems that little boy didn’t just find some random place to bury the Evil Dragon."

Gu Yuexi nodded in agreement.

"This must be some ancient ruin that the little boy used to suppress the Evil Dragon’s corpse."

The woman and the mosquito approached the Bronze Gate.

Before they even entered, a thick, metallic scent of blood washed over them.

Looking through the gateway,

At least a dozen Cultivators’ corpses lay on the ground, each having died in a different grotesque way.

"Cultivators were killing each other in there over some loot."

Chu Sheng waved his forelegs and said with certainty.

"There must be something good inside."

Gu Yuexi grunted in agreement, not breaking her stride.

"We’ll know once we go inside and take a look."

The woman and the mosquito stepped through the Bronze Gate and looked up.

In the very center of the stone chamber was something that looked like a stone pillar altar.

It was about half a person’s height, and resting on top was an ancient-looking wooden box, roughly thirty centimeters square.

A faint, blood-red mist swirled around the stone altar, flowing slowly.

It was the same crimson power from the entrance, only far less concentrated.

Surrounding the blood-red mist,

Five Profound Understanding Realm Cultivators stood in a circle, channeling their respective Powers of Law to exhaust the blood-red mist with all their might.

Under their sustained efforts, the blood-red mist was steadily shrinking.

They were now less than a meter from the stone altar.

Once they forced the blood-red mist completely back into the stone altar, they would be able to claim the treasure inside the small wooden box.

Hearing the sound of approaching footsteps,

The five Cultivators tensed up simultaneously, whipping their heads toward the entrance.

They were a permanent squad. After much difficulty, they had finally killed all the other contenders, and the treasure was within their grasp.

If another powerful team were to arrive, they would have no choice but to abandon the treasure and retreat.

But when they got a closer look,

there was only one person at the entrance.

A beautiful woman, at that, who looked as if a strong gust of wind could knock her over.

Her Cultivation was merely Profound Understanding Late Stage.

The Cultivation of any one of the five of them was at least on par with hers.

The leader, a gray-haired old man, was even at the Half-Step Divinity Transformation Realm.

The five of them instantly relaxed, their faces twisting into scornful expressions.

The gray-haired old man spoke in a low, sinister voice.

"Girl, I advise you to leave at once. Do not disturb us."

"If you dare to get any ideas about this box..."

"...then don’t blame us for what we do to a pretty flower like you!"

In their minds,

Gu Yuexi would surely shrink back in fear at their threat.

The disparity in their strength was too great.

Besides, it was five against one. The outcome was a foregone conclusion.

Even if Gu Yuexi planned to wait for them to completely dispel the blood-red mist before trying to snatch the prize, it would be a death wish.

Unfortunately for them,

they had completely misjudged her.

Gu Yuexi seemed to completely ignore their threat. Without even pausing, she walked straight toward the stone altar.

In the moment it took for the five of them to stare in a daze, she had already reached the edge of the blood-red mist.

"You’re courting death!"

Completely ignored, the five men grew furious, their faces contorting with rage.

The gray-haired old man gritted his teeth.

He prepared to stop dispelling the blood-red mist and turn to deal with Gu Yuexi.

But just as he was about to withdraw his power, he made a shocking discovery.

Gu Yuexi showed no sign of stopping.

She was walking directly into the blood-red mist.

The five were stunned for another moment, then mocking smiles spread across their faces.

’She really is courting death!’

They were well aware of the blood-red mist’s power. Touching it meant certain death; it could even corrode one’s Divine Soul.

Even the gray-haired old man, a Half-Step Divinity Transformation expert, didn’t dare to touch it directly and could only wear it down slowly.

Yet this woman was walking straight into the blood-red mist...

’She’ll dissolve into a puddle of blood in an instant, without even a bone fragment left behind!’

However, the scene they expected never occurred.

Gu Yuexi walked into the blood-red mist.

It was as if she were walking through an ordinary fog; she was completely unharmed.

She didn’t even break her stride.

In a single step,

she passed through the blood-red mist and arrived before the stone altar.

As the gray-haired old man and his four companions stared, dumbfounded,

Gu Yuexi reached out and effortlessly picked up the small wooden box.

’How is that possible???’

That thought was a perfect reflection of what the five men were feeling at that moment.

In reality,

the blood-red mist was merely power condensed from the Law of Blood.

The Law of Blood was an obscure path, with very few people who cultivated it.

But for Gu Yuexi, who had inherited the legacy of Immortal Venerable Shi Xi and mastered the Power of Law for hundreds of different Laws,

this was just one of the many she had mastered.

A Law of the same Origin naturally couldn’t harm her.

After taking the small wooden box, Gu Yuexi unceremoniously tucked it into her Storage Pouch and turned to leave.

Only then did the five men snap out of it. Shocked and enraged, they immediately surrounded her.

"Stop!"

"Put down the box!"

"Or else, don’t blame us for being ruthless!"
