Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 976: Greed, What A Wonderful Thing

Outside the dome-shaped nest, Marcus landed on the ground, turning from a black beam of light into the fallen and pale humanoid form.

He waited outside the dome, but his eyes flashed with worry, fear, and anxiety.

The images of what he had seen a few moments ago were still so fresh in his mind that it felt like it was constantly happening over and over and over again, with repetition in his mind.

His fingers trembled, his spine tingled. He had been so close to death, so so close. If those Dimensional System Portals had not opened up at that moment, he would have been caught by the residual power, and he would have definitely died.

He didn't see any way that anyone could have run fast enough to escape. Perhaps the Primordial Falcon would have been able to pull it off, but he wasn't entirely sure.

Marcus checked his personal panel and saw that out of the ten thousand-plus Grave Keepers that had followed him, about one thousand had died from that single event alone.

This may not look bad, but one had to remember that they were not even the targets of the attack; they just happened to be in the same vicinity as two gods who wanted to rip each other to shreds.

There used to be a saying that when the gods fought, it was the mortals that suffered.

That saying was not complete, as Marcus had seen firsthand that when those gods fought, both mortals and immortals suffered.

"Relax, Marcus, I could hear your heartbeat all the way from there." Suddenly, the voice of George caused Marcus to snap out of his thoughts.

Georgia was walking out of the nest with a calm smile on his face. He snapped his fingers, and the spatial storage belt on his quivering a little.

Soon, a little telescope-like magic machine appeared in his left hand. With a wave of his fingers, small telekinetic waves spread out from his mind, and he began to tinker with the little machine.

The Telekinesis that George performed did not originate from magic or spirit powers. If one looked at George's hand and fingers, they would see that it was actually filled with different rings, and even his wrists were covered by silver armlets.

The abilities of these little trinkets were unknown for now, as most of them looked like decorations or accessories even though they clearly weren't. George would never wear something on his body if he knew that it would be useless.

One of the rings, the one on his index finger, was lit up with a green glow. It was this ring that allowed him to exhibit telekinetic powers despite not having any by himself.

As the Primordial of Wisdom, George had a large amount of energy in his power pool, but most of that was directed toward thinking and decision-making, with a few percentages boosting his physical stats.

These gadgets that he wore on his person were his own way of bridging the gap between him and other Primordials who possessed terrifying combat capabilities.

Marcus observed George's hand and the way he waved his finger around, using the Telekinesis Ring to manipulate and adjust the gears inside the telescope-like machine.

"Where is the All-King?" Marcus asked, frowning.

"I'm here," The All-King responded immediately from behind Marcus. The latter quickly turned around to see the person who had spoken.

With those images still flashing in his mind, he was not at all surprised or questioned how Kael appeared behind him; he just accepted it as reality.

The cacophony of baby dragon cries continued to rise, and they were especially loud at this moment as though they had seen something.

With their tiny wings and the little claws, they gripped firmly to the side of the dome-shaped and turned to throw their small heads to look at the All-King.

They were not really looking at the All-King. They were too young to understand the mind of being that way. What they were looking at was the little thing held in his arms against his chest.

The baby Primordial Dragon was perched quietly in Kael's arms and sleeping peacefully. It was this little creature that aroused the cries of the other dragonlings.

"Be calm, Marcus," Kael said to Marcus with a slight nod. A wave of powerful spiritual power washed over Marcus from Kael and penetrated his mind.

There was no malicious intent behind this action, as this was just done to make Marcus calm down.

"Your Majesty," Marcus spoke after his mind was finally calmer, "I'm not…."

"I released the God of Change," Kael said, interrupting Marcus before he could speak. George was also paying attention.

"All that you saw happened because of me. No need to fear or worry," Kael added, calming Marcus down once again, as that was all Marcus had wanted to say.

He was worried.

That kind of power.

Marcus had watched the cosmos turn into a freaking light bulb in front of his eyes; how could they not worry?

"Forget about them; they are doing more than just fighting. Their conflict is to our benefit.

Did you send the Death Essence into Seth's Alphaverse as discussed?" Kael asked.

"I did," Marcus nodded.

Kael nodded too, satisfied. Through Marcus, he could deal with Seth and cause serious trouble for him.

To Kael, Seth did not deserve any peace at all. As far as the All-King was concerned, Seth was never going to sleep peacefully from now on.

"Very well then, go to Grave Heaven, recover your strength and prepare for more invasions for the time being; there are still many heavens that are not yet mine.

All that exists outside my control exists without my permission.

That alone is its own sin against me."

Kael rubbed the back of Philip slightly, but the words that came out of his mouth were so shocking. He spoke as though he were a god.

Marcus nodded, "Yes, Your Majesty."

Kael didn't say anything else. He checked his mind, seeing that the connection he had established with the Luthor Patriarch had not been wiped out yet.

A devious smile crept onto Kael's lips.

'Greed, what a wonderful thing…' He thought.
