Chapter 974: The Little Dragon And The Foreign Power

Your Majesty," George greeted, bowing his head, "I'm afraid something bad has happened."

"What is it?" Kael asked as he looked away from George at the female humanoid and the little dragon she was cleaning up.

"Your Majesty, I think there has been a corrupting force infiltrating the Alphaverse and subtly controlling some things," George said solemnly.

"Hmm," Kael raised one of his brows but did not respond immediately. He kept his gaze on the little dragon.

The baby dragon that had just been born a few minutes ago was not too big and not too small.

It was the size of a small parlor dog, barely registered as a threat to anyone.

Its body was covered in soft, wet scales and some exposed skin. All the scales were greyish-black, having not yet solidified; if they had, they would be much darker.

The little dragon did not have any horns on its head, nor did it have any particular spikes running down its spine or barbs at the end of its tail like most adult dragons would.

Its four legs were still weak as it struggled to stand properly without quivering; it was still getting used to supporting its own weight.

On its back were a pair of flimsy greyish-black webbed wings, like that of a bat. However, those wings were pretty much useless at this point, as they were too small to fly with, let alone carry the little dragon anywhere. For now, they looked more like decorations.

Alas, even as a newborn, some traits had begun to appear that set it apart from the rest of its kind.

The eyes.

They gave off a very disturbing and oppressive purple glow. The glow was not as intense as it would be if it were grown, but it was there and in full effect.

The pair of eyes reminded Kael of Empress Elizabeth, the former Primordial Dragon.

They were so similar.

And it was rather off-putting, as Elizabeth had already become what she was meant to be by the time Kael met her. The way she looked at everyone and everything was with a sense of disdain and an inner understanding of how she could literally kill almost anyone and get away with it.

The intensity of her purple eyes only added to her already cold expression and asserted her imperial aura.

This little dragon, however, had not yet matured; it did not know anything, and its immediate expression was one of childish hunger and innocence.

The eyes themselves were somewhat big on its head and made it look more cute than dangerous. The whole imagery contrasted heavily with the violent power resting at the depths of those eyes.

*HUIIIEE!*

A cute exhale was released from the little dragon's mouth, gaining it a smile from the Nanny taking care of it.

It was only now that the Nanny raised her head to look at the All-King standing above her. Her reptilian pupils shrank down to needle slits when she saw the being in front of her.

She was startled and befuddled. When did the All-King come here? She had been so drawn to the existence of this little dragon that she completely lost sense of distance, time, and her surroundings as she focused on the young Primordial.

Kael scanned her. This Nanny Dragon was quite beautiful and also powerful. Her long straight blonde hair was a brighter shade than Kael's, and her large bubbly chest was easily the most noticeable part of her physique.

The curly horns that grew at the top of her head glimmered with a faint earthly power; she was an Earth Dragon.

Based on her aura, she should be at least tier 5 equivalent. In the grand scheme and the wider universe, tier five was not much, but it accounted for being a powerhouse amongst the lesser mortals.

Not to mention that Imperious One was an ordinary Nest World until now, with just one tier 6 dragon overseeing the entire planet's operations.

She was one of the strongest beings in the entire star sector, even if her scale of power was just state-level at best.

For her to be so enamored by the newborn dragon spoke greatly of the kind of influence the Primordial had on its race.

"Your Majesty," She stood up hurriedly and greeted him. She didn't know how to make amends for this. Who knew how long the All-King had been standing in front of her, and she did not even know it.

Kael only observed her to know the situation; he personally did not need her obedience or her worship, so he ignored her and divided most of his attention between the little dragon and George.

The baby dragon, unbeknownst to the Nanny, was covered in a foreign aura that leaked all over the nest.

This Foreign aura was only detected by Kael now that he was on the odd planet. He should have detected it simply because it was in his Alphaverse. After all, he himself was the Alphaverse.

However, this aura and power had slipped under his detection and was quietly sticking to his subjects like a disease.

This particular aura was not even Destruction Essence or the special Foreign Essence which might reasonably evade the senses of the All-King if used properly.

And the aura did not even come from one of the many laws that Kael and his Primordials had. This was an entirely foreign Law that had never appeared anywhere before.

"Explain," Kael said to George. It was now that Kael's voice carried a certain tone of aggression, like a predator about to perform a killing blow.

George nodded his head, "Your Majesty, I have been using the Underseer to observe certain aspects of the outside universe from here, especially the Outerverse.

I noticed that a few strange things were happening, and I mapped out their trajectory. I discovered the aura and its very strange influence on all that it corrupted.

Because our Alphaverse is not complete, that is, it doesn't have its own Outerverse, our defenses were absolutely weak, and the strange power invaded our space without anyone knowing.

I have drawn up all the checks as to why no one has detected it, and I have concluded that this power does not just come from outside the main universe; it comes from another standalone universe.

A universe entirely and

completely separate from the one the Highest Will governs has taken special interest in us, and we don't even know who or where it is."
