Reincarnated as a damn planet

Chapter 79: The Child of God

  • Next Chapter

Liam observed everything at once through his new ability. Countless creatures, settlements, battles, discoveries, and small moments happening across the world were all within his perception, yet one thought continued to linger in the back of his mind.

The thought of adding a child to the Council of Pantheons had not left him. He only needed to find a suitable candidate, and with his ability to observe the entire planet simultaneously, finding one should not take too long.

"I still need to help X_X," Liam suddenly remembered.

He was about to shift his attention toward X_X’s planet when a faint cry reached his consciousness. It was weak and desperate, almost drowned out by the countless sounds of the world, but Liam noticed it.

His attention immediately turned toward the source.

Deep within a forest stood a small wooden house. Inside were two individuals, an elf woman lying on a simple bed and a large demon with red skin standing beside her, desperately holding her hand.

"My dear... there is no hope. It is simply impossible," the demon said, his voice trembling as he tried to remain strong.

"There must be a way!" the woman pleaded, gripping his hand tightly. "Aren’t there any forms of Dark Magic that could make this possible?"

The demon lowered his head.

He had already searched for every answer he could find. They both knew what they had done was considered forbidden, and they both knew the chances of their child surviving were almost nonexistent.

Yet neither of them had been willing to give up.

Liam watched the two of them in silence.

"An elf and a demon together?" he muttered in confusion. His eyes widened slightly as he understood what they were attempting. "Don’t tell me... they interbred?"

Before he could think any further, the woman suddenly cried out.

"Ahhhhh!"

Her body trembled as she struggled through the pain. The demon immediately moved closer, holding her hand while repeatedly telling her that she could do it.

"You can do this. Just a little longer."

The woman screamed again, tears streaming down her face.

The mother continued pushing with everything she had left, while the father desperately tried to encourage her. Every second seemed to stretch endlessly until, finally, the birth was complete.

But there was no cry.

Instead, blood covered the bed, accompanied by something that looked nothing like the body of a newborn child.

The mother stared at the sight and her expression froze.

Then her eyes rolled back, and she immediately lost consciousness.

The demon remained completely still.

His hands trembled as he slowly lowered himself onto his knees. He stared at what remained of the child they had spent so long waiting for, unable to accept what had happened.

"We knew it was impossible..." he whispered.

His voice broke. "But this is far too cruel."

He reached out and gently touched the remains, as though even now he was afraid of hurting his child.

Liam remained silent. He had witnessed countless deaths throughout the history of Essia. He had watched warriors die on battlefields, civilizations collapse, and entire species disappear.

Yet this felt different. He had seen the hope in those two parents.

"I can’t look any further," Liam whispered.

But his consciousness continued observing everything.

Liam stared at the lifeless child for several seconds before a thought slowly formed within his mind.

"This unfortunate child..."

His gaze remained fixed on her. "She died because of a forbidden love."

For some reason, those words felt heavier than they should have.

His consciousness slowly pulled away from the wooden house.

Then, for the first time in a long while, Liam made a decision without considering what benefit it would bring to the world.

He focused his consciousness toward the Council of Pantheons.

"Child," he quietly said.

The empty space before him began to tremble as faint ripples spread through the air. Liam stared into the empty space for a moment before quietly speaking, "This will be your new home."

Liam raised his hand toward the empty space. "Consciousness Space: Summon Forbidden Child."

The moment the skill activated, the empty space began to change. A soft glow gathered in the darkness, slowly becoming brighter as a small body began forming piece by piece, starting with tiny bones before muscles, organs, and skin gradually took shape.

Liam watched silently as the delicate body of the newborn continued to develop. Finally, strands of hair appeared, followed by the tiny features of a baby, completing the body that should have never had the chance to exist.

"I would like this child to become the child of God."

The construction finally stopped.

A tiny baby lay peacefully on the table, her small chest rising and falling with each breath. Her skin was pale and smooth, untouched by the red complexion of her demonic father, while her delicate body looked almost too fragile to belong to a creature born from two different races.

She had beautiful white hair inherited from her elven mother, though several strands on one side were completely black, carrying the influence of her demonic blood.

Two tiny fangs could be seen between her lips, while her small hands and slender limbs made her look more like an innocent human child than either of her parents.

Yet there was something unusual about her appearance.

There was no red skin, no monstrous features, and nothing that immediately revealed the demonic blood flowing through her body. She simply looked like a small, innocent child, unaware of the strange circumstances surrounding her birth.

For several moments, Liam said nothing as he continued staring at her. After everything she had been through, the child now rested peacefully in a place where no one would ever be able to hurt her.

Then, suddenly, the baby opened her mouth.

"Waaah!"

Her cry echoed throughout the Council of Pantheons, breaking the silence that had filled the room. Liam’s expression remained still, but deep within him, something felt different as he heard the first cry of the child he had just brought into existence.

A child who had been born into the world only to die had been given another chance.

The first hybrid in the history of Essia had been born.

And from that moment onward, she would no longer be the child of a forbidden love.

She would become the child of God.
