Chapter 164: The Destruction of the Goblin Kingdoms

  • Next Chapter

Thousands of undead soldiers marched across the land, their footsteps shaking the ground as they advanced toward the remaining goblin territories.

Wherever they passed, villages were reduced to ruins, castles collapsed under their relentless assault, and fortresses that had stood for centuries were swallowed by the advancing army.

The combined forces of the evil Constellations moved like a calamity that could not be stopped.

Skeleton warriors wielding rusted weapons marched alongside headless knights, enormous undead beasts, and creatures whose bodies had been stitched together through forbidden magic, leaving behind nothing but death in their wake.

The goblins had attempted to resist them, but their forces were scattered across several kingdoms, leaving many settlements without sufficient protection.

Even the Goblin Emperors who rushed to intercept the invaders found themselves facing enemies whose strength far surpassed anything they had encountered before.

One of the Goblin Emperors arrived first, standing before an enormous army of undead creatures led by the Mother of Evil. His body was covered in battle scars, and his magical aura spread across the battlefield as he raised both hands, summoning countless stone pillars beneath the approaching army.

Several hundred undead soldiers were crushed instantly, but the Mother of Evil merely smiled as she lifted one finger, causing the corpses buried beneath the ground to rise again and attack their former allies.

The Goblin Emperor fought desperately, destroying wave after wave of undead, yet the Mother of Evil eventually overwhelmed him with a mass of twisted creatures that dragged him beneath the battlefield, leaving his fate uncertain.

Another Goblin Emperor confronted the Dark Elf Witch near a fortified castle, where thousands of goblin soldiers had gathered behind the defensive walls.

He unleashed a storm of magical projectiles, tearing through the undead army and creating an opening for his soldiers to counterattack, but the Dark Elf Witch responded by summoning an enormous skeletal dragon from the depths of her army.

The creature smashed through the castle walls with a single strike, scattering the defenders as the witch’s undead soldiers flooded inside, forcing the Goblin Emperor to abandon his position and fight directly against the dragon.

Although he managed to shatter several of its bones, the Dark Elf Witch surrounded him with countless undead warriors, and the battle disappeared into a cloud of black mist and falling debris.

The third Goblin Emperor encountered the Scarlet Queen, whose crimson army had already slaughtered the defenders of several settlements.

He charged toward her without hesitation, swinging his enormous weapon with enough force to split the earth, but the Scarlet Queen avoided every attack with graceful movements, her crimson cloak fluttering behind her.

She raised her hand, and the blood scattered across the battlefield began to move, forming countless sharp spears that pierced the Goblin Emperor’s body and forced him to his knees.

Before he could recover, she approached him and looked down with an indifferent expression, watching as his remaining soldiers were consumed by the Scarlet Church’s forces.

The three Goblin Emperors had each attempted to stop the advancing Constellations, yet none had managed to turn the tide of the invasion.

Meanwhile, the Dark Emperor continued his advance toward one of the largest goblin castles in the region.

He walked at the front of his army, his enormous body towering over the soldiers surrounding him. The castle stood atop a rocky hill, protected by thick stone walls and several layers of magical barriers, while thousands of goblin soldiers stood ready with their weapons raised.

"Enemy approaching!" one of the goblin guards shouted from the watchtower.

The goblin commander immediately ordered the magicians to reinforce the barriers, causing a green glow to spread across the castle walls. Archers prepared their bows, and knights gathered behind the gates, waiting for the enemy to enter their range.

However, the Dark Emperor did not stop.

He slowly raised his head, and the darkness surrounding his body began to spread like smoke. His muscles expanded beneath his armor, black energy poured from his shoulders, and enormous shadows coiled around his arms, forming layers of darkness that made his already massive figure appear even more terrifying.

The ground beneath his feet cracked.

The goblin soldiers stared at him in disbelief as the Dark Emperor’s aura continued to grow, swallowing the sunlight and covering the surrounding hills in an unnatural darkness.

"What is that thing?" a young goblin whispered.

"Fire! Everyone, fire!"

Thousands of arrows flew toward the Dark Emperor, followed by magical projectiles launched from the castle’s towers. The attacks struck his body in rapid succession, creating explosions that shook the entire fortress, but when the smoke finally cleared, he remained standing in the same position.

He looked at the castle.

Then, he raised one arm.

A gigantic mass of darkness gathered above his hand, twisting and expanding until it resembled an enormous black sphere. The goblin magicians desperately poured their mana into the defensive barriers, but the Dark Emperor simply swung his arm downward, sending the mass crashing into the fortress.

BOOOOOOM!

The entire castle shook violently.

The magical barriers shattered almost immediately, and the black sphere continued through the walls, crushing towers, barracks, and defensive structures as though they were nothing more than toys. The force of the impact swallowed thousands of goblin soldiers, while the remaining defenders were thrown into the air by the shockwave.

Before the dust could settle, the Dark Emperor advanced into the ruins.

His enormous shadow stretched across the battlefield as he swept his arm sideways, releasing a wave of darkness that erased the remaining defenses. The goblins attempted to flee, but the darkness spread faster than they could run, swallowing the castle and the surrounding settlement until nothing remained but a vast crater surrounded by broken stones.

The Dark Emperor lowered his arm.

"Continue."

His voice was quiet, yet every soldier in his army heard the command.

The undead forces resumed their march.

One after another, the remaining villages and fortresses fell beneath the combined assault of the evil Constellations.

Some settlements were destroyed before their inhabitants even realized an enemy had arrived, while others fought until their walls collapsed and their soldiers were buried beneath the ruins.

The goblin kingdoms were losing their territory at an alarming rate.

Even the Goblin Emperors who had survived their initial encounters were unable to gather enough forces to launch a proper counterattack.

Their messengers carried desperate reports between the remaining settlements, but every new message seemed worse than the last.

Another fortress had fallen.

Another kingdom had been silenced.

And another army had disappeared.

At the center of the devastation, the Mother of Evil stood beside her undead forces, observing the destruction with a calm expression. The Dark Elf Witch had already moved toward another settlement, while the Scarlet Queen continued advancing with her crimson followers, leaving behind a trail of blood that stained the ground beneath their feet.

The Dark Emperor, meanwhile, stood atop the ruins of the castle he had destroyed.

His gaze shifted toward the distant horizon, where smoke rose from several other settlements.

"How many remain?" he asked.

An undead knight knelt before him.

"Several kingdoms still resist, my lord. Their strongest warriors have gathered around the central territories, but their numbers are diminishing."

The Dark Emperor remained silent for a moment before turning away.

"Then destroy the rest."

The undead knight lowered its head.

"As you command."

Far from the ruined castle, a group of goblin soldiers fled through a forest, carrying wounded comrades on their backs.

They had abandoned their settlement after witnessing the Dark Emperor’s overwhelming power, and none of them dared to look behind them as the distant sounds of destruction continued to echo across the land.

"We can’t keep running!" one of the soldiers shouted. "If we abandon every settlement, where are we supposed to go?"

"Do you want to die here?" another goblin replied. "Those monsters aren’t ordinary enemies!"

The argument ended when the ground suddenly trembled beneath their feet. The goblins froze as four figures emerged from the shadows between the trees.

They were goblins, yet their appearances and auras were completely different from those of ordinary soldiers. Each possessed a presence powerful enough to make the surrounding goblins instinctively lower their heads, and the air itself seemed to grow heavier as they approached.

One carried a massive weapon across his shoulder, while another wore dark robes that fluttered despite the absence of wind. The remaining two stood silently beside them, their expressions impossible to read.

The four Goblin Council members had finally arrived.

One of the fleeing soldiers dropped to his knees.

"Y-You came!"

The goblin carrying the massive weapon looked toward the distant smoke rising from the ruined kingdoms. His grip tightened around his weapon, and the ground beneath his feet cracked as his aura began to spread.

"Where are those bastards?"

The soldier pointed toward the horizon with trembling hands.

"They’re destroying everything!"

The four council members exchanged glances.

Then, without another word, they began walking toward the battlefield.

Yet they were not the only members of the council who had responded to the invasion.

On the other side of the goblin territories, several other Constellations had gathered before an enormous fortress surrounded by towering walls and countless magical formations. Unlike the settlements that had already fallen, this fortress remained untouched, its gates firmly closed and its defensive barriers glowing with a powerful light.

The goblin soldiers stationed above the walls watched nervously as the approaching figures stopped before their gates.

Among them stood the Onyx Elf, the Magic Swordswoman, Thousand Petal, and Lapace the Overproud.

Lapace crossed his arms and tilted his head.

"So, this is where the remaining pests decided to hide?"

The Magic Swordswoman ignored him, keeping her eyes fixed on the fortress.

"Something is wrong. They know we’re coming, yet they haven’t attempted to escape."

Thousand Petal’s expression grew serious as countless petals began circling her body.

"They might be preparing to fight."

The Onyx Elf stared at the walls for several seconds before speaking.

"No. They’re waiting for us."

As if responding to his words, the enormous gates slowly opened.

Four goblins emerged from within the fortress, their figures small compared to the Constellations standing before them. However, the moment they stepped outside, the air changed, and a powerful pressure swept across the battlefield.

Lapace’s smile faded slightly.

The Onyx Elf narrowed his eyes.

One of the goblins stepped forward, revealing a pair of sharp eyes beneath his hood.

"You’re the ones who came to destroy our home?" The four Constellations remained silent.

The goblin raised his weapon.

"Then come."

The next moment, the fortress gates slammed shut behind them, and the four goblin council members unleashed their auras.
