Reincarnated as a damn planet
Chapter 154: The Goblins Who Challenged the Constellations
"The monster stomps, the mountains shake, the earth shall tremble and the heavens quake! With every step, our strength shall rise, and none shall fall beneath these skies!"
"Every stomp is a blessing to the land, every roar shall shake the sand! Forward we march, our spirits grand, until we flatten this foreign land!"
Four individuals sat atop the enormous Beast Kings, singing with joyful expressions as they traveled across the unfamiliar landscape. Their voices carried through the air, occasionally accompanied by laughter, while the enormous beasts beneath them continued marching forward, each footstep leaving deep impressions in the soil.
Sky Devourer sat comfortably atop one of the beasts, her enormous wings folded behind her as she joined the singing. Beside her, Sea Conquerer appeared equally entertained, occasionally raising his voice to emphasize certain lyrics, while Headless Gnome bounced slightly with every step, apparently enjoying himself far more than anyone would have expected.
Beast Emperor Estoa, who sat among them, simply watched their behavior with a faint smile. He had grown accustomed to the strange personalities of the individuals accompanying him, and after spending several days traveling together, he had discovered that their conversations could become considerably more troublesome than any battlefield.
The enormous Beast Kings continued their march, their muscular bodies covered in thick scales and powerful armor that had developed naturally over countless years.
Suddenly, the Beast King carrying them stopped.
Its enormous feet planted firmly against the ground, causing the soldiers behind it to slow their advance. The singing gradually faded as the four individuals turned their attention toward the path ahead, where a small silhouette had appeared in the distance.
The figure slowly approached them, revealing a goblin wearing a dark cloak that concealed most of his body.
His green face was partially hidden beneath the hood, and despite his small stature, he stood directly in their path without showing the slightest intention of moving aside.
"Hey, hey, stop right there!" the goblin shouted, raising one hand toward the enormous beasts. "Father said we can’t let you pass through here!"
Before anyone could respond, another silhouette appeared beside him, stepping out from behind a large rock. This second goblin also wore a dark cloak, and although his expression remained hidden, his posture suggested that he had no intention of allowing the invading army to advance.
"Father is Father, and his words are absolute," the second goblin declared firmly. "So go away!"
The four Constellations stared at the two goblins for several seconds.
"HUH?! What the fuck is this guy saying?" Headless Gnome exclaimed, his entire body leaning forward as he stared at the pair.
Sea Conquerer slowly turned his head toward the others, his expression becoming increasingly irritated. "How dare they ruin our happy moment? We were just getting to the good part of the song!"
He cracked his knuckles before looking back at the goblins. "Want me to drown them?"
"There is no need," Beast Emperor Estoa said calmly.
He slowly stood up atop the Beast King’s back, looking down at the two goblins who remained stubbornly positioned before the army.
"Hey! I said stop, right?" the first goblin shouted again.
His patience appeared to have finally run out, and he clicked his tongue before extending his palm toward the invading Constellations. Purple energy began gathering around his hand, spreading across his fingers before condensing into a swirling sphere that illuminated the inside of his hood.
"My father personally taught me this move," he declared proudly, a mischievous grin appearing across his face.
The purple energy intensified, causing the air around his palm to distort slightly as magical power continued accumulating. The goblin raised his other hand, adopting a stance that seemed strangely familiar to anyone who had encountered powerful warriors from another world.
"KAME KAME..."
Headless Gnome tilted his head.
"What the hell is this little bastard doing?"
"KAME..."
The goblin’s voice grew louder as the energy in his palm expanded, forming a dense sphere that pulsed with purple light.
"Hey, Ichi Block it."
The enormous Beast King beneath him immediately opened its jaws.
A brilliant blue glow appeared deep within its throat, rapidly growing brighter as magical energy gathered inside its mouth. The surrounding air began trembling, and the pressure generated by the accumulating power caused dust and small stones to rise from the ground.
The goblin’s eyes widened.
"Hey, hey, that’s bad..."
Before he could finish speaking, Ichi unleashed its attack.
A colossal beam of blue energy erupted from the Beast King’s mouth, tearing through the air with a deafening roar. The ground beneath its feet cracked from the force of the discharge, while the beam surged directly toward the two goblins, illuminating the entire battlefield with an overwhelming blue radiance.
The goblins immediately abandoned their attack.
Both figures leaped in opposite directions, barely escaping the beam as it swept through the space they had occupied moments earlier.
The enormous blast continued forward, carving a devastating path through the distant landscape before finally disappearing beyond the horizon, leaving a massive cloud of dust hanging in the air.
"That was close..." one of the goblins muttered, reappearing beside his companion.
The two figures exchanged glances before returning to their original positions, once again blocking the road as though nothing had happened. Their composure was remarkable, especially considering that the attack they had narrowly avoided could have erased them from existence if they had reacted even slightly slower.
Sky Devourer raised an eyebrow. "That guy actually dodged? Impressive."
She glanced toward the goblin who had attempted to attack them, studying him with mild curiosity.
The first goblin slowly straightened his back, apparently trying to recover his confidence after nearly being struck by the enormous beam. He pointed toward the Beast Kings with renewed determination, his voice becoming louder as he addressed the Constellations.
"You almost got me there! Now that you’ve used your trump card, this should be easy cake for me..."
His words suddenly stopped.
A powerful gust of wind swept across the battlefield, and before the goblin could even turn his head, an invisible force struck him directly in the body. The impact sent him flying across the landscape like a tiny projectile, his figure rapidly disappearing into the distant sky.
Sky Devourer slowly lowered her wings. "You are too noisy."
"BROTHER!!!!!"
The second goblin immediately flew after the distant figure, desperately attempting to catch up with his companion. His panicked cry echoed across the battlefield before gradually fading into the distance, leaving the remaining goblin’s fate uncertain.
The four Constellations watched him disappear.
Then Sky Devourer casually folded her wings behind her and sat down again, seemingly satisfied with the result. "Okay, now that they’re gone, can we continue?"
She looked toward the others, waiting for their response as though she had merely removed an annoying insect from their path. Beast Emperor Estoa remained standing for a moment before finally sitting down, while Sea Conquerer and Headless Gnome began discussing the strange creatures they had just encountered.
"What do you think?" Sea Conquerer asked, scratching his chin. "Could those guys be this world’s dragons?"
"It can’t be," Headless Gnome replied immediately. "That first guy was far too weak to be a dragon. He’s more like... uh, an everlasting flying scale or something."
"What the hell is an everlasting flying scale?" Sea Conquerer asked.
"I don’t know. I just made it up."
The group erupted into laughter once again, their earlier interruption already forgotten as the Beast Kings resumed their march. Soon, their cheerful conversation filled the air, and the four Constellations continued traveling toward their destination as though the two goblins had never existed.
