Chapter 147: We will be the one who hunts

"Today is the day, exactly one year after the Entity revealed his plans to us," Moleius said, sitting on one of the seats around the roundtable as his eyes moved across each and every Pantheon present. All of them were seated around the table, their eyes focused and their postures composed, knowing that the day they had been preparing for was finally here.

"We have done all the preparations, and the only thing left is the execution," Moleius added. "Our armies have been gathered, our strongest warriors have been selected, and every Pantheon has prepared their forces for what is to come."

No one responded.

For the past year, they had all been preparing for the invasion that the Entity had told them about. Some had gathered armies, others had searched for powerful warriors, while the rest had strengthened their own forces, but all of them had one goal in mind.

To be ready.

Suddenly, a bright light appeared above the roundtable.

Everyone immediately looked upward as the light slowly expanded, illuminating the entire room with a brilliant glow. Countless particles of light descended from above, swirling around one another as a figure slowly emerged from within them.

The figure descended toward the roundtable.

It was a black entity, its entire body covered in a darkness so deep that it seemed almost impossible to see its actual form. There were no visible facial features, no recognizable skin, and no clear indication of what existed beneath the blackness, only two faint points of light where its eyes should have been.

The Entity slowly descended until his feet touched the center of the roundtable, his arms slightly spread apart as he stood silently before the Pantheons.

The entire room fell silent.

Even the Pantheons who had already seen the Entity countless times remained completely still. His presence alone was enough to make the atmosphere feel heavy, as if the entire room had acknowledged the arrival of its creator.

The Entity looked around the table, observing each of them before finally speaking.

"It has been a year, Pantheons."

His voice echoed throughout the chamber. "And today is the time."

The Pantheons remained silent as the Entity continued.

"This past year was given to you so that you could prepare yourselves. You gathered your warriors, strengthened your armies, prepared your kingdoms, and made certain that when the time came, you would not stand defenseless before our enemies."

He slowly turned his head toward each Pantheon.

"You have all done what was required."

The Entity paused for a moment.

"Therefore, there is nothing left to prepare."

His voice became slightly heavier. "The time for preparation has ended."

A brief silence followed.

"The time for execution has begun."

Several Pantheons tightened their fists upon hearing those words.

"Beyond this world lies a force that has destroyed us before," the Entity continued.

The Entity slowly raised one hand.

"This time, we will be the one who hunts"

A Pantheon slowly stood from his seat, his expression filled with determination as he looked toward the Entity.

"We must destroy those who destroyed us in the past," the Pantheon said firmly. "This timeline should be different than before."

The other Pantheons remained silent, but many of them nodded in agreement.

The Entity looked toward him for a moment before slowly nodding.

"I acknowledge your resolve."

His gaze moved across the entire room. "You remember what happened before. You remember the lives that were lost, the civilizations that were erased, and the world that fell beneath their numbers."

The Entity’s voice remained calm, but there was a faint heaviness behind his words.

"But this time, you are not alone."

He slowly looked toward every Pantheon.

"This world has its Pantheons, its Constellations, its warriors, its kingdoms, and its angels."

The room became completely silent.

"Then let us make them understand that this world is not theirs to take."

The Entity’s voice echoed throughout the chamber. "With that, we shall make them pay."

---

Eazi sat quietly inside her room, looking toward the window as faint moonlight entered through the curtains. The room was peaceful, with only the gentle sound of the wind occasionally passing through the trees outside, while Trias sat nearby.

For a while, neither of them spoke.

Eazi eventually turned toward her mother. "Mother, what was the last timeline like?"

Trias became silent for a moment as she remembered the events of the previous timeline. Her expression slowly changed, and the usual warmth in her eyes disappeared as those memories resurfaced.

"It was pretty similar to this world," Trias said. "At least, it was at the beginning. We had kingdoms, civilizations, Pantheons, warriors, and ordinary people living their lives. There were wars and conflicts, but nothing that could compare to what eventually happened."

Eazi listened carefully.

"Then those foreign individuals invaded us."

Trias lowered her gaze. "They did not come peacefully. They arrived with an army so enormous that their numbers seemed almost endless. They invaded one place after another, destroying civilizations and killing everyone who stood in their way."

"We tried to defend ourselves at first," Trias continued. "The Pantheons fought them, the kingdoms gathered their armies, and countless warriors stood against them. We believed that if we continued fighting, we would eventually be able to push them back."

She paused.

"But we were wrong."

"The problem was their numbers. Whenever we defeated one army, another would appear behind it. Whenever we managed to protect one kingdom, another civilization would fall somewhere else. We could defeat them in battle, but we could never reduce their numbers fast enough."

Eazi’s expression became more serious.

"And eventually, we lost?"

Trias slowly nodded.

"Ultimately, yes. They killed countless people, destroyed entire kingdoms, and erased civilizations that had existed for thousands of years. Even some of the strongest beings in our world were eventually overwhelmed because there were simply too many of them."

Trias clenched her hand slightly.

"That is why this timeline must be different."

Eazi remained silent as she listened.

"We know they are coming now," Trias said. "We know what they are capable of, and we know what happened when we were caught unprepared. This time, we will not allow them to repeat what they did."

She gently placed a hand on Eazi’s head.

"This time, we will fight before they have the chance to destroy everything."

Eazi looked down for a moment before asking quietly, "Then... we really can change it?"

Trias smiled faintly. "Yes."

She looked toward the night sky outside the window.

"That is what this second chance is for."
