Reincarnated as a damn planet
Chapter 121: Let Me Through!
After countless attempts to join through the chatroom, Liam finally succeeded.
A year had passed since he first started trying to enter, and at this point, he had already lost count of how many times he had attempted to connect.
"PLEASE, LET ME THROUGH!!"
"PLEASE, LET ME THROUGH!!!"
Liam muttered while floating through space, his face displaying the expression of someone who had completely lost his patience.
"IT’S BEEN A YEAR SINCE I STARTED TRYING TO JOIN THE CHATROOM... PLEASE, PLEASE!"
He stared desperately at the blue screen floating in front of him, almost as if staring at it harder would somehow force the system to let him through.
"Qwerty managed to join through, even though he’s an Unorthodox Player. So the system definitely got breached... It’s not even logical that I can’t get through when I’m already an anomaly myself."
Liam’s frustration had already reached its limit.
"PLEA--" His voice suddenly stopped.
"I GOT THROUGH!!"
Liam immediately began floating in circles, clearly overwhelmed with joy after countless attempts to enter the chatroom.
He spun around several times before stopping himself, staring at the blue screen as though he was afraid that the system might suddenly change its mind and throw him out again.
"Finally... Finally!"
As the connection continued loading, a memory suddenly appeared in his mind.
It was from back when he had first joined the chatroom, and probably the most awkward thing he had ever done.
Yes, the very first thing he asked was how much the person behind the screen was.
Liam couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle as he remembered it.
"I really asked that?" He shook his head, finding his past self slightly embarrassing.
A few moments later, a familiar window appeared in front of him.
He immediately recognized it as the window asking him to set his name.
Without hesitation, he entered the same name as before.
[RED RINGS]
[RED RINGS CONNECTED]
X_X: Whoah!! A brand new member appeared! Didn’t think that would be possible since it’s been years.
"This fucker again. You fucking green standist!"
Liam immediately recognized X_X’s way of speaking.
LYNX: What?! That makes us seven, right? That’s comforting.
"Seven? Isn’t it four?... Oh, wait, the additional two."
Liam counted the names that were currently visible.
"But that would only make us six. Are there any additional members?"
Before he could even answer his own question, another message appeared.
DR. DIAGNOSIS: It’s strange... Isn’t the requirement for the chatroom reaching a certain population milestone? I don’t remember.
X_X: Could’ve been a late bloomer. Who knows?
Liam stared at the screen in disgust. "Why is this fucker so talkative and acting friendly? I feel like I’m gonna throw up."
Two messages suddenly appeared at almost the same time.
SERAPH: Stop questioning him. I think he might be feeling shy all of a sudden... Welcome!!
LEO: Welcome!!
Liam stared at the two names for a moment.
"Seraph... He must be the one with the angelic race, right? His name really gives it away."
His attention then moved toward the other name.
"And Leo would be the one with the weird slime fetish."
He resisted the urge to laugh. Despite everything that had happened, it felt strangely nostalgic seeing the same people he remembered from his previous timeline.
Of course, he couldn’t allow himself to become too comfortable.
Liam began typing.
RED RINGS: Greetings. I am Red Rings. Nice to meet all of you.
The moment the message appeared, another response immediately came.
DR. DIAGNOSIS: Strange, how is he so calm?
Liam’s expression stiffened. "Shit... Did that give it away?"
He quickly stared at the message again, wondering if his attempt to act like a newcomer had already failed.
LYNX: Others cope quickly, I guess.
LYNX: Anyways, welcome, Red Rings. Your system must have already explained what this is, right? But in short terms, this is basically a group chat. Though the other one has yet to chat.
RED RINGS: Nice to meet you. And yes, the system basically told me everything.
He paused before sending another message.
RED RINGS: This is the place where we talk about progression, share ideas, and discuss things within a certain light-year range, right?
X_X: PING PONG!! CORRECT!
Liam’s expression immediately turned sour. "YUCK... WHAT KIND OF SHIT DID THIS GUY EAT TO BECOME LIKE THIS?"
He stared at the message for several seconds before deciding that responding would only make things worse.
Instead, he continued observing the chatroom.
The conversations were almost exactly as he remembered them.
It was strange seeing them again.
These people had once been the few individuals he could speak to about things that no ordinary person could ever understand, and yet now he was standing among them while pretending to be someone completely different.
LEO: Where is Kida? Is he still busy with that race he’s been wanting to create or something?
Liam’s expression immediately changed. "The chatroom is strangely lively... Wait, Kida?"
He stared at the name for several moments. "Strange. He has the same name as one of the Five Prodigies."
A strange feeling appeared within him, but Liam quickly pushed it aside.
"It must be a coincidence or something. There’s no way a creation can become a creator."
He continued staring at the name.
"And Kida is only two syllables. It would be a crazy coincidence if it were actually him."
Liam brushed the thought aside. "Forget it. I need to act like a newbie so I don’t make them suspicious."
His eyes moved across the names displayed on the screen.
"And by ’them,’ I mean Seraph, Leo, and X_X."
"They don’t have Astral Projection yet... I assume. So there’s basically no way for them to tell."
That was one of the reasons Liam felt confident enough to enter the chatroom.
Even if something about his behavior seemed strange, none of them possessed the ability to directly observe him.
As long as he maintained his act, he could gather information without exposing himself.
RED RINGS: How is everyone doing? And may I ask something?
LYNX: SURE!
Liam then began asking obvious questions, things he already knew the answers to, simply so he wouldn’t completely blow his cover.
At the same time, he was slowly leading the conversation toward the question he had actually wanted to ask.
RED RINGS: WHAT SKILLS DOES EVERYONE HAVE? IS IT THE SAME FOR EVERYONE?
Everyone began responding.
Most of their answers were exactly what Liam expected.
Skills such as the Atmosphere Scanner, Weather Manipulation, and other abilities he had already possessed appeared in their responses.
Liam quietly read through every message, comparing their abilities with what he remembered.
"So nothing strange so far."
He continued reading.
Then one particular skill caught his attention.
His expression slowly changed as he stared at the name. "World Condition?"
Liam’s attention immediately focused on the description.
"Being able to change the condition of the world?"
He had never possessed that skill before.
More importantly, he had never remembered anyone mentioning it during his previous evolution.
Liam’s curiosity immediately took over. If this was a skill that already existed within the system, then there was a possibility that he had simply never discovered it.
Or perhaps the system had changed again.
RED RINGS: How does one obtain that skill?
Liam stared at the screen, waiting for their response.
For the first time since entering the chatroom, he wasn’t pretending to be curious. He genuinely wanted to know the answer.
