Reincarnated as a damn planet
Chapter 118: Liam’s Shenanigans
It had been a month since I sped up the progress of the world. After that, the Pantheons decided to create something similar to a Bible for the individuals below them. One book was for what they considered good, while the other was for what they considered evil, and both contained laws regarding what people should and should not do.
What I strongly liked about the idea was that the books were not created by a single Pantheon. They created them together, combining their beliefs and teachings into something that could be passed down to their followers. The interesting part was that the teachings were interchangeable depending on which book someone chose to follow, meaning that the same action could be considered righteous by one side and sinful by the other.
After creating the books, they began choosing their own saints and representatives. Some carefully selected individuals who perfectly represented their teachings, while others seemed to choose people purely based on instinct. Honestly, I liked that too, since it reminded me of how the old Pantheons used to give artifacts to the newer Pantheons before everything changed.
Like the Auravene.
One of the Five Prodigies took it, and I think his name was Kida...
Wait.
Kida?
Now that I think about it, I had never actually seen him before. I clearly remembered summoning all five of the Prodigies, so where exactly had Kida gone? Did something happen to him after I summoned him? Was there some kind of malfunction?
This was strange... really strange.
But it was already too late to resummon him or anything like that. I could probably investigate it later, and for now, I decided to simply move on and hope that whatever happened to him wasn’t anything serious.
Anyways, churches began appearing after the prophets of the Pantheons started spreading their words. And to no surprise, the most popular ones were connected to the things that benefited people the most.
Food and safety.
Of course they would choose those.
Just moments after that, the Pantheons discovered that they could use Artifact Creation. Even I didn’t know they were capable of doing that, so I couldn’t help but wonder if the timeline had changed because of everything that had happened.
It was becoming increasingly difficult to tell which events were supposed to happen naturally and which ones were being caused by my existence.
A few days ago, I also noticed Calean in the Underworld I had created. I heard his prayers about needing assistance, so I decided to give him some creatures that could help him.
A Cerberus, a black cat of bad luck, a literal Phoenix, and even the snake that tempted Adam and Eve to eat that damn apple.
I still found it amusing.
The moment Calean received them, he basically treated them like dogs. He even made the creatures race against each other for some reason, apparently wanting to see which one was the fastest.
I watched the whole thing for a while.
Calean really was strange.
I also heard about the angels praying to me. Their numbers should be somewhere in the twenties by now, or something close to that, but it was still interesting that they had already acknowledged my existence despite never actually meeting me.
I wondered if their biological structure somehow imprinted my existence into their minds.
I didn’t exactly know.
Right after they finished their prayers, I decided to give them a trait, similar to the hidden traits I had given to the other races. This time, however, I made it overwhelmingly powerful because they existed within my own realm, and if my speculation was correct, the Karma System shouldn’t be able to detect it.
[ RACE HIDDEN TRAIT: ]
[IF FACED WITH AN OVERWHELMING OPPONENT, THEY CAN SACRIFICE THEMSELVES, RETURNING TO THEIR ORIGINAL STATE AS A MAGIC PARTICLE.]
[THEY MAY THEN ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE ABSORBED BY AN INDIVIDUAL OF THEIR CHOOSING.]
It was basically a form of sacrifice.
If one of my angels encountered an enemy they couldn’t defeat, they could willingly turn themselves back into pure magic and allow someone else to absorb them. It was an ability that could potentially save another angel’s life while also making the one they sacrificed themselves for stronger.
Not bad.
After months had passed since I was regressed, I had to admit that things sometimes felt lonely. Most of what I did now was constantly checking on the Others, watching them develop, occasionally following a particular individual for a while, or simply reading novels through Moleius’s library.
It was kind of lazy, now that I thought about it.
But I couldn’t force the timeline to speed up again. If I accelerated everything whenever I became bored, it could eventually become a disadvantage, especially when I didn’t know what was supposed to happen in this timeline anymore.
So I just had to wait.
And then something appeared before me.
[XAFAKFWMK CHURCHES AWJRANRL WAEAWMR]
I stared at the strange notification. "What the hell does that even mean?"
Another message appeared beneath it.
[REWATAM: AUTHORITY BESTOWMENT]
[ALLOWS THE PLAYER TO BESTOW ITS DIVINE AUTHORITY.]
I blinked. "Woah..."
I had received a new skill.
But I still couldn’t understand the system itself. Aside from the skill names and their descriptions, most of the things it displayed were basically gibberish to me. I had no idea what the strange words meant, and I had long since stopped trying to decipher them unless they directly gave me something useful.
Still, this one was interesting. "Authority... Divine Authority."
I stared at the skill for a few seconds before trying to understand what it actually meant.
If my dictionary was correct, authority probably meant having control or influence over a certain field. Absolute authority was something along those lines, at least.
So this skill probably allowed me to give some kind of authority to someone else.
But who should I try it on?
I looked through the world for a few seconds before eventually finding the person I wanted.
"Let’s try it on Ragnir."
That guy was surprisingly more arrogant than I originally thought.
I’m pretty sure he’ll use it immediately.
