Reincarnated as a damn planet

Chapter 110: Passage of time

"It has been a month since I regressed... I think I did everything that is needed."

"I set up everything now. I reorganized the Pantheons, experimented with countless stuff, and created a bunch of variables that I think would help progress. I created a lot of creatures, and I also gained a new skill after experimenting, which taught me that I could still gain new skills."

"This skill allows me to control outcomes to a limited extent, which is a really good skill. Though it has a crazy cooldown and equally crazy limitations, it is still great that I managed to gain another ability at my disposal."

"There is currently nothing for me to do. I have basically done everything..."

Liam floated silently within the Consciousness Space, his gaze wandering across the enormous world he had created. The Pantheons had already been given their roles, the angels had been created, countless species had been introduced into the world, and various changes had been made to encourage the growth of intelligent life.

"Wait... If the Consciousness Space remained the same, does that me an it’s tied directly to my consciousness?" he suddenly wondered.

The thought caused Liam to pause. He had originally assumed that the Consciousness Space simply existed independently, another ability granted to him by the system, but the fact that it remained untouched after his regression suggested that there was a deeper connection between it and himself.

"So, if my speculation is right, if I speed up time... do they speed up with me?"

He looked toward the Pantheons, who were currently sitting within their respective seats. Liam remembered the previous timeline, when he had left them alone for hundreds of years just so he could return later and discover that civilization had progressed.

"Last time, I left them for five hundred years... But that was way back."

With that thought, Liam activated Temporal Acceleration for a split second. A year passed within the space of a single second, and the world below him changed so quickly that he could immediately notice the difference.

Liam quickly used Intangible Spectation and descended toward the world. The barren lands he remembered were no longer quite as empty, with young trees standing where there had previously been nothing but grass, dirt, and scattered rocks.

He looked toward the Pantheons and noticed something strange. Their bodies had suddenly become motionless, as if they had fallen unconscious at the exact moment he accelerated time, yet the world around them had continued moving normally.

Liam narrowed his eyes before activating Temporal Acceleration for another brief moment. Once again, the surroundings changed while the Pantheons remained unconscious, confirming what he had suspected.

"So... they speed up with me."

A faint smile appeared across Liam’s face. "That’s great. Now I don’t have to leave them to themselves for centuries just to see progress."

He immediately used Temporal Acceleration again, this time without hesitation.

The world began moving.

At first, the changes were subtle. Grass spread across previously barren stretches of land, small plants emerged around sources of water, and young trees gradually grew taller as their roots dug deeper into the soil.

The landscape slowly became greener as forests expanded outward from the places where Liam had initially created them. Rivers became surrounded by vegetation, their banks turning into natural gathering points for animals and intelligent races that had begun to recognize the importance of water.

Seasons passed in moments.

The young trees grew into forests, while the forests themselves began changing the surrounding environment. Animals reproduced and spread into new territories, predators followed their prey, and entire ecosystems slowly began forming without Liam needing to directly interfere with every detail.

Mountains became covered with vegetation in some regions, while other areas remained dry and rocky. Along the coastlines, the waves continued striking the shores as aquatic creatures multiplied beneath the water, creating entire underwater ecosystems that Liam could only observe from above.

The planet was slowly becoming alive.

As more time passed, the intelligent races began changing with it. Lizardmen who had once wandered from place to place in search of food started gathering around rivers, where fish were plentiful and the surrounding land provided enough plants and animals to sustain larger groups.

The demons did the same, although many of them preferred harsher environments where they could establish territory without constantly competing with other species. Other intelligent races gradually discovered that oceans, lakes, and rivers offered far more than water, providing transportation, food, fertile soil, and natural boundaries.

The days of constantly wandering through the wilderness began disappearing.

Instead of hunting whatever creature they happened to encounter, groups began establishing territories around reliable sources of food. Some began digging simple pits to store supplies, while others discovered that planting seeds near water could produce food without requiring them to constantly search for it.

At first, these settlements were nothing more than collections of crude shelters. Several families might live beside one another beneath wooden roofs, with a small fire burning in the center while hunters returned from nearby forests.

But as generations passed, those temporary shelters became permanent.

The first proper villages began appearing beside rivers and coastlines. Wooden walls were constructed around some settlements, primitive storage buildings appeared, and paths were created as people repeatedly traveled between homes, farms, hunting grounds, and water sources.

Trade slowly emerged.

One settlement might have an abundance of fish while another possessed better access to fruits, herbs, stone, or animal hides. Individuals began exchanging resources instead of fighting over everything, and simple tools gradually became more common as specialized craftsmen appeared.

The settlements continued expanding.

Some villages became large enough to contain hundreds of inhabitants, while others merged with neighboring communities and formed primitive towns. Buildings became sturdier, roads became wider, and primitive farming fields began covering the land around rivers.

Yet despite all this progress, the world was still far from the civilizations Liam remembered.

There were no massive kingdoms stretching across continents, no towering castles, no advanced armies, and no enormous cities filled with thousands of buildings. It was still an age of primitive tools, small settlements, tribal leaders, hunters, farmers, and early craftsmen, a world standing somewhere between its ancient origins and the beginning of a true civilization.

Liam continued watching as generations were born and died beneath him. Languages slowly changed, traditions formed, groups began giving names to their settlements, and the first signs of organized leadership appeared among the growing populations.

Even the landscape itself had begun to change because of them.

Paths created by countless footsteps became roads, farms expanded outward from settlements, trees were cut down to create more living space, and small bridges were constructed over rivers. The intelligent races were no longer merely surviving within the world Liam had created.

They were beginning to shape it.

Liam gradually reduced the speed of Temporal Acceleration. The endless passage of years slowed from centuries within moments, then to decades, then to years, until eventually time returned to its natural pace.

The world below him settled into silence once again, though it was no longer the same barren world he had looked upon before. Villages stood beside rivers, forests covered vast regions of land, and countless intelligent beings continued living their ordinary lives without realizing that an ancient being was watching them from above.

Liam looked over the world for a long moment.

"Good."
