Chapter 597: Chapter 372: Innate Sacred Being: The Only One Since Ancient Times

Suddenly, the eyelids of the tall man sealed within the jade pillar trembled faintly, and a trace of life returned to him.

GURGLE GURGLE!

At the same time, this change triggered a violent reaction from the surrounding jade. The jade-like structure rapidly softened, writhing and squirming as if coming to life. It didn’t seem to be true jade at all, but some sort of living biological tissue—flesh and blood.

In all the world, only Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood possessed such properties.

This entire massive jade pillar was made of Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood. One could imagine that it must have once been an incredibly complete Earth Immortal corpse, perhaps even comparable to the Headless Immortal Corpse that Yi Beidou had subdued!

But what was most shocking was that the man cocooned within such terrifying Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood seemed completely untainted by it. His body remained in the purest state of human flesh and blood!

He seemed to have found a way to utilize and conquer the Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood, perfectly sealing himself away from a distant, unknown antiquity until this very moment, completely unscathed!

As the Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood squirmed, a blazing light of Immortal Power emanated from within. Energy structures resembling Immortal Talismans naturally materialized inside the jade, and terrifying waves of power rippled outward, forcing the many Original Vein Sleepers and Ancient Ones nearby into defensive stances.

The flesh and blood pressed in frantically on the man at its core, seeming to want to merge with his body, as if he possessed some immense gravitational pull.

Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood was only ever known to reject a host. When had it ever been seen to so eagerly offer itself, trying to fuse with one?

But just as the Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood began to riot, the tall man’s eyes snapped open. They held both a natural wildness and a profound calm.

Like a sky of roiling clouds and sweeping winds, like a river of surging waves, like a great peak, immovable as a mountain, and like the rolling peal of thunder...

These contradictory qualities coexisted within him, like primordial nature itself, all-encompassing.

A faint, dream-like golden mist emanated from his body, blanketing his skin and instantly cutting off the invasion of the Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood.

Immortal Power, and a most peculiar kind at that!

A mortal body of flesh and blood, wielding Divine Power!

He then raised his hands and tore violently.

The Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood enveloping him was ripped asunder, and the tall man strode out from within.

GURGLE GURGLE!!

The Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood behind him followed, extending fleshy tendrils that wrapped around the man’s calves.

It seemed to be trying to hold him back, appearing so "humble," like a fawning dog.

The tall man stopped, turned, and raised his palm.

WHOOSH!!

A great cloud of shimmering, dream-like golden mist erupted, enveloping the massive chunk of Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood.

The man then gently closed his hand into a fist. The golden mist contracted abruptly, and the writhing Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood, along with the boundless Immortal Power it was releasing, were utterly suppressed, solidifying once more into the shape of a giant jade stone.

For this man, sealing away such a complete piece of Earth Immortal Flesh and Blood was as easy as lifting a finger.

The tall man glanced at the others around him. He didn’t speak immediately, instead clenching his fist, producing a muffled sonic boom as if reacquainting himself with a body that had slumbered for many years.

Then, he began to circulate his qi and blood and activate his internal organs.

THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!!

The powerful, forceful beat of his heart was like thunderclaps, making one’s eardrums vibrate.

HUM! HUM! HUM!

The hum of his organs operating was like the turning of the earth, the very cycle of the mountains and rivers.

ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!!

The sound of his qi and blood surging was like great rivers, cleansing and scouring all in their path.

INHALE!!

The tall man suddenly inhaled. A visible wave of air was drawn into his lungs, his chest swelling high. He sucked the air within a ten-meter radius into a vacuum, and the resulting force was so strong that even the dozen or so powerful Ancient Ones nearby struggled to keep their footing.

He then threw his head back, and a mass of compressed air and water vapor from his lungs, mixed with that dream-like golden halo of energy, shot into the Sky.

BOOM!!

The mass of air exploded with a heaven-shaking roar. The blast wave and water vapor were energized, and the halo of energy was refracted by the moisture, releasing a hazy, seven-colored light, as if a massive, beautiful firework had been set off in the daytime Sky.

When the turbulence subsided, a rainbow lingered in the Sky, refusing to fade.

A heartfelt smile spread across the tall man’s face as he watched the beautiful scene.

It was a smile as pure and sincere as a child’s.

"I’ve troubled you all. It was another long dream. How long was I asleep this time?"

The tall man looked at the people around him, his tone gentle as he asked the question.

"Lord Innate, you have slept for three thousand seven hundred years this time. We have heard the symphony of a new age. This era has given birth to a one-of-a-kind individual. We believe he is the one you have been waiting so long to find."

The old man in the lead, who had white hair but a youthful complexion, spoke up.

His skin was translucent as jade, and he naturally exuded an otherworldly aura characteristic of a Sleeper. Yet, he was still incomparably respectful toward the tall man called "Innate."

It wasn’t just him; the others around them were the same, gazing at the tall man with reverence, admiration, and what could even be called fanaticism.

Innate. A man born as a God. Since ancient times, the greatest miracle among the countless billions of the human race, the most perfect of all humans.
