Chapter 2653 - 22: Spring Waters Reflecting Peach Blossoms (Part 3)

So intricate, so painstaking, yet the thought transmitted to the Yuheng Star Tower is extremely weak, not enough to manipulate the Yuheng Star Tower to do anything.

But this process can bypass the restrictions of the Heaven’s Prison World, and it does not cause any disturbances in this Heaven’s Prison World, thus it already holds enough value.

In the current predicament, all attempts must prioritize safety.

Though he can only weakly sense the Yuheng Star Tower itself, he thought about the old dragon still sealed in the Yuheng Star Tower. The Old Dragon of the Forest Sea, being of the Dragon Clan, surely has considerable knowledge of the Demon Clan, and may also help find some methods.

So he still pushed forward the final step, successfully transmitting thought into the Star Tower.

Yet as soon as this guy opened his mouth, it was all about loosening bonds and freedom, not a bit of useful information, truly unable to change its original nature.

Despite wasted efforts, Jiang Wang felt no resentment.

How can things always go as one wishes?

If one path is blocked, it’s just necessary to take another.

Glancing warily around, Jiang Wang tread silently on the leaves, traversing through this old forest to start today’s journey of herb gathering. If he relied entirely on himself to heal his injuries, who knows how long it would take... Thus, he allocated a little time each day to seek medicinal herbs — anything to restore blood and energy was helpful for his current body.

The bald head is rather conspicuous, so he crafted a grass hat to wear. Ugly as it may be, it served somewhat to conceal him.

In the days living within the Hundred Thousand Great Mountains, he’s been like this — spending most of his time hiding inside the Red Mirror to treat his injuries, attempting to become a skilled doctor by healing himself. Furthermore, he ventured out indiscriminately every day to gather herbs, while observing the surroundings, and updating map details.

His exploration range is currently limited to a thousand miles.

He dares not go farther, for he knows nothing of the information there, and if he inadvertently approaches a battlefield, he wouldn’t even find a tomb to cry over.

What worries him is that in the past two days, more and more of the Demon clan have been entering the mountains,

Two days ago, he encountered a team of Little Monsters, yesterday there were three teams, all avoided from afar. Today barely after crawling out of a tree hole, he passed by two teams of Little Monsters... Weren’t the Hundred Thousand Great Mountains supposed to be rarely traversed by demons?

Though he needs to gather intelligence, he restrained himself and did not harm any Little Monsters. These demons entering the mountains seem burdened with some tasks, if too many die inexplicably, it will certainly provoke investigation from the powerful.

He cannot withstand scrutiny.

His activities these days have been completely sporadic, and his lodgings are simple.

Sometimes it’s a tree hole, sometimes an underground lair; in short, any place where he could discreetly place the Red Mirror... Like a wandering soul in the dense mountain forests, he left no traces of himself.

With more Little Monsters entering the mountains, his nightly lodgings also must be increasingly remote.

From the moment he obtained the Red Mirror, he knew this thing wasn’t sturdy.

Though with a deeper understanding of the Red Mirror, he believes it will reform in some manner after breaking, the person hiding inside may not recover with it.

To prevent the Red Mirror from being discovered by a reckless demon, forcing him into a killing spree that exposes his whereabouts... he can only retreat cautiously again and again.

Moreover, he has stealthily followed several teams of demons, seeking to understand their purpose. Yet it seems each team has different objectives; some are hunting in the mountains, occasionally dragging away an Evil Beast. Some appear to search for something, eager to dig several feet into the ground.

Jiang Wang follows quietly, never disturbing the demons’ actions. He merely uses sound skill to silently note their conversations, then reproduces them with Dream Order, retaining them in his mind.

Whenever he finds a place to stop and hide in the Red Mirror, he tends to his wounds and carefully considers the strange sounds’ meanings to learn the Demon Language...

Unexpectedly, more learning is needed in this world, as well as in the Monster Realm.

Whether seeking rank and titles, or escaping into the wilds, one must always learn.

The Confucianist sages were right.

It’s a damn Sea of Learning with no end!
