Reborn with a Space: Building a Fortune Amidst Famine
Chapter 1730: Ascension
On the day of Ascension, Meng Po appeared again, this time accompanied by the Judge.
This was a grand occasion throughout the Starry Realm, and all cultivators were watching.
The ten of them were dressed in Immortal Clothes, contributed by Xiao Ya.
It was agreed upon that Tan Shaoting would be the first, followed by Qi Yan and his brothers, then Su Yuanyuan, with Chen Xue Man, Zhu Huai’en, and finally Mu Tian.
Su Yuanyuan looked at the Starry Realm with a sense of release on her face, leaving the realm she had stayed in for hundreds of years. She wasn’t sure what the future would hold, but she clearly knew that as long as the family could be together, they would not fear even mountains of blades and seas of fire.
The Immortal Clothes on her body automatically protected her; otherwise, she would have been injured.
The Demon King’s Ascension was something they knew nothing about within the Ascension Channel. Experiencing it firsthand now was indeed uncomfortable, especially after leaving the Starry Realm, where danger still lurked.
With Tan Shaoting in the front able to fend, if he couldn’t do it, there was Qi Yan, so the rest were much safer behind.
Suddenly, Xiao Ya transmitted a sound, "Mom, we’re almost there."
Tan Shaoting also knew they were almost there, as the party seemed to be dropping.
They instinctively supported each other without falling.
"Which realm did you ascend from?"
Such matters are usually handled by Tan Shaoting.
"Senior, we are cultivators ascending from the Starry Realm."
"Starry Realm? Why does it sound so unfamiliar?"
Indeed, several Heavenly Immortals at the Ascension Pool were quite surprised, as ten individuals had never ascended together.
However, they must not show it, lest the newly ascended Earth Immortals notice, as that would be quite disgraceful.
A Heavenly Immortal spoke, "The Starry Realm hasn’t had ascending cultivators for tens of millions of years."
Tan Shaoting bowed to them, "Honored seniors, would you assist us with the procedures?"
"What’s the rush? We also need to verify things thoroughly."
Actually, they were waiting for a message from above, which hadn’t arrived yet.
The group waited nervously, as they were now in a strange place, being at the lowest tier of existence, naturally tense.
Soon, a small bird flew over, and only Xiao Ya understood what was happening. She felt bitter, realizing they had arrived at the Northern Immortal Emperor’s domain.
"Alright, come with me to complete the procedures."
Not having an Immortal Record here would be incredibly troublesome, even for future travel.
The men surrounded the woman in the center and followed a Heavenly Immortal with an air of immortality.
Tan Shaoting was first, explaining his situation—there were no Spirit Roots here, actually quite straightforward.
When Su Yuanyuan was registering, the person glanced at her several times. Tan Shaoting immediately stood beside his wife.
After everyone’s Immortal Records were processed.
"Follow me to the Mortal Transformation Pool for Transcendence."
It resembled a small pool enveloped in white mist, where two cultivators were already present.
"You may go down."
Without hesitation, they directly descended.
Though it seemed small, only upon entry did they realize it was a Space Technique.
Tan Shaoting held Su Yuanyuan’s hand, while Qi Yan and others surrounded the couple.
Everyone knew words were unnecessary now, understanding that they must soak in the Mortal Transformation Pool for the required time.
All closed their eyes to cultivate, previously cultivated techniques could no longer be used, or rather, Immortal Qi couldn’t be absorbed.
However, Qi Yan, Xiao Ya, and Xiao Rue could cultivate.
Now wasn’t the time to worry. Xiao Ya directly transmitted to her parents, which was feasible now, despite Mahayana of the Starry Realm, their Sea of Consciousness couldn’t accept it.
Up to now, there wasn’t a noticeable change in the Sea of Consciousness.
Each was given a cultivation technique in alignment with their family’s Spirit Root.
Techniques were also given to Mu Tian, Chen Xue Man, and Zhu Huai’en.
Of course, the techniques given to them weren’t of a higher level than those for the family.
Now, rather than merely sitting, they could cultivate.
Su Yuanyuan cultivated according to the technique; this time, she couldn’t hold back. She could feel Immortal Qi rushing into her meridians.
The sensation was a mix of soreness, numbness, and pain, but quickly it was replaced by comfort.
Entering a state of meditation, her movements startled Tan Shaoting; watching his wife’s condition, he was a bit worried.
Seeing his daughter gently shake her head, he continued to cultivate.
Su Yuanyuan’s Sea of Consciousness was continually being transformed, seemingly protected by a layer of material. She didn’t know what this meant but assumed it wouldn’t be bad.
As her Sea of Consciousness transformed, her body’s skeleton was also changing.
Her mind was filled with many images, fragmented and unable to be pieced together.
One scene seemed to be the Ascension Pool.
It corresponded to her seat; unexpectedly, there were good things there.
Su Yuanyuan exited meditation but did not open her eyes, her hand already reaching downward.
The memory fragment in her mind guided her on how to retrieve the stone embedded in the pool.
With a gentle touch, it came out, and she immediately stored it in her space.
Continuing with cultivation.
They were now in such a state that many observed them.
"During our Ascension, we didn’t experience this; they actually have Immortal Realm techniques?"
"Exactly, what’s going on? Can messages be sent down from the Immortal Realm?"
"The Starry Realm hasn’t had ascending cultivators for so long, suddenly ten ascend; they must have great fortune, just wait, we’ll know once they come out."
After ten days, the two individuals in the pool previously left. Actually, it made no difference, as there was no communication during those ten days.
Their Divine Sense couldn’t leave the Ascension Pool; they could only continue cultivating, planning to figure it out once they emerged.
Though the ten of them didn’t communicate, being together provided assurance.
This opportunity allowed them to absorb Immortal Qi without burden, and they understood they were at the lowest tier, once at the top, this disparity was significant. Naturally, they wanted to quickly grow strong, to speak with more confidence.
A month later the ten remained still, still in meditation in the Ascension Pool.
Two months passed with the same situation. People outside became anxious.
There was an unwritten rule: the longer one stayed in the Ascension Pool, the greater the potential.
A year passed without any change, drawing even more attention to those timing the Ascension Pool.
The longest time spent in the Ascension Pool was a year and a half; they had now been there a year.
Chen Xue Man opened her eyes. She couldn’t sustain it any longer, but she knew her body had been successfully transformed.
Suddenly she was transported out, startled, but soon composed herself, knowing with Immortal Clothes she wouldn’t be disgraced.
