Chapter 2838: Chapter 2838: Kicking Master Liang Like A Ball

Master Liang vehemently refused to take the blame for an accusation that made zero sense. Today was literally his first time ever encountering Yu Qi! He naturally assumed this odd child was referring to Yu Qi as her mother.

"Don’t you dare try to lie to us! You forcibly extracted her spiritual energy and injected it into someone else! We know everything you did!" Xiaohua yelled back fiercely.

"What...?" Master Liang stammered, his mind reeling.

The only entity whose spiritual energy he had ever extracted was that mysterious ancient tree housed deep within his lab...! Was this little girl actually calling that ancient tree her mother?!

Suddenly, a subtle, rustling sound emanated from the grand ancient tree standing behind him. He whipped his head around and stared at the majestic ancient tree in utter shock.

"See...? She recognises you." Xiaohua pointed out with a chilling smirk.

"You... You mean to tell me that this tree is your mother?!" Master Liang stuttered, unable to process the absurdity of the situation.

"Of course I am talking about her, you idiot!" Xiaohua rolled her eyes dramatically at his dense reaction.

Master Liang’s brain went completely blank. This was the first time in his entire life hearing that a plant could give birth to sentient offspring!

"What on earth are you, creatures?!" Master Liang shouted, backing away in terror.

"Me? I am a super cute tree monster! My name is Xiaohua!" The little girl proudly introduced herself, puffing out her chest.

Master Liang was utterly dumbfounded.

A tree monster was a legendary, volatile creature that was notoriously impossible to tame. They inherently harboured a deep, burning hatred for human cultivators above all else! How on earth had Yu Qi managed to tame such an unstable monster?! And more importantly, how could an ancient tree actually give birth to a tree monster in the first place?!

Of course, nobody in the world truly understood the secret origin of tree monsters due to their extreme rarity. No one had ever connected them directly to ancient trees before.

"Since Master explicitly requested to keep you alive, I will make sure you don’t die." Xiaohua grinned wickedly, cracking her tiny knuckles.

Master Liang felt a chill run down his spine as he watched her sinister smile.

"You... What... What are you planning to do to me?!" Master Liang stammered, frantically stumbling backwards.

He lost his footing entirely and collapsed onto his backside on the grassy ground.

"Mother mentioned that you looked so delighted every time you siphoned away her spiritual energy." Xiaohua said, taking slow, deliberate steps toward him.

Panicked, Master Liang desperately clawed at the ground to crawl away from her. But where could he possibly escape to? He was trapped inside this isolated, mysterious realm. His cultivation was completely sealed, leaving him utterly powerless against these strange monsters.

"Since you are stuck here anyway, you can serve as my personal kickball for a while!" Xiaohua grinned cheerfully.

"No! Stay away! Please, spare me!" Master Liang shrieked, reduced to weeping and begging for mercy.

Xiaohua paid no heed to his pathetic pleas. She pulled her leg back and delivered a swift, powerful kick right into his midsection! While the kick was not strong enough to end his life, the sheer physical force sent Master Liang soaring across the field, tumbling repeatedly over the grass while howling in pain.

"AAGHH!!" Master Liang scrambled up on his elbows, looking toward Bo Ya in utter desperation.

"Hey! Make her stop right now! Your master explicitly ordered you to take care of me!" Master Liang screamed, trying to invoke Yu Qi’s authority.

"My Master instructed us to guard you, not to pamper you." Bo Ya corrected him calmly, folding his arms across his chest. "I already reminded her not to kill you, so you don’t have to worry too much. You would not die by her hands."

Master Liang nearly choked on his own saliva upon hearing that cold reply. He stared back at the young boy in absolute disbelief. Was this really what they considered ’guarding’ someone?! He had naively believed that being left behind in this strange dimension would offer him an easy path to freedom.

Instead, he had landed straight into the clutches of a sadistically cheerful monster girl who viewed him as nothing more than a human soccer ball!

"Wait... what exactly do you mean by ’kickball’?!" Master Liang asked frantically, sweating profusely.

Xiaohua’s eyes instantly lit up with cruel excitement. "Oh, you will find out very soon!"

"NO! WAIT—!" Master Liang shouted.

Xiaohua stepped forward and kicked him with even greater force.

"AAAAAAGHHH!!!" Master Liang’s body flew through the air once again, crashing back onto the hard earth with a loud thud.

Bo Ya watched the chaotic spectacle unfold from the sidelines with a completely composed expression.

Aoi lounged lazily beside him, having zero intention of intervening to help the miserable captive.

After all, their master had tasked them with guarding the prisoner. And they were doing a remarkably thorough job of guarding him.

They were ensuring that he remained alive, just as instructed. Whether he suffered a tremendous amount of agony in the process was a completely separate matter altogether.

Master Liang shrieked in agony with every single kick Xiaohua delivered. Each blow sent him flying high into the air, only for a long, flexible branch extending from the ancient tree to swoop in and wrap tightly around his torso. The branch would then yank Master Liang right back down toward Xiaohua, positioning him perfectly so she could launch him into the sky all over again.

Master Liang desperately begged them, pleading with Xiaohua in particular to show mercy and stop. However, Xiaohua paid no attention to his frantic cries, completely ignoring his pleas as she gleefully kicked him right back into the clouds.
