Chapter 632 Gaufrid [4]
Chapter 632 Gaufrid [4]
250 years later…
That was how long the Beast Coalition disappeared from the already dim radar of the Nak and Ackermann State that kept a tab on them before.
During all this time, they were completely forgotten.
Everyone forgot about that small-time terrorist organization that kept on causing trouble from place to place, a lot of other things took the attention.
Unknown to them, this was the period of growth of the Beast Coalition.
Locking themselves away from the world, they built themselves.
In isolation, they worked fervently on their goal.
By now, all 5 of the Upper Beast Priests and Gaufrid himself, now known as the Beast King had been Calamity Grades for over a century already.
Gaufrid’s charisma for leadership like an undaunted showman that Ancestor recognized centuries ago already blossomed by now as it led him to create a behemoth terrorist organization built on the goal of freedom fighting.
The Beast Coalition was no longer that juvenile terrorist group of before.
Only Calamity Grade Beasts were eligible to become Beast Priests now and they had 12 of these beasts including the Upper Beast Priests.
The Beast Coalition was no longer an organization that the Nak State could toy with and it was during this time that they attracted attention from far away.
Floating in space on their base, the back of the Shelter Priest, they welcomed an uninvited guest that brought this terrorist organization to a standstill.
Bzzz!
It was a humanoid existence in a red robe that completely hide his identity.
The only thing visible about him was the black staff that he held.
Feeling the terrifying elemental power emanating from this black staff which was clearly something he did deliberately, all the Beast Priests felt intimidated.
They were Calamity Grades like this unknown guest but this guy was on a whole other level of power, even higher than George.
They were not scared though, they had 12 Calamity Grades on their side.
Besides, George felt that he could fight this powerful uninvited guest for some time before being defeated.
George whispered something into Gaufrid’s ear a short time later.
The next moment, the Beast Priest stood at the front of the group confronting this uninvited guest. “I know who you are, Red Deacon”.
They could not see it but they knew he grinned from inside that robe on hearing that as he looked at them. “That makes things easier”.
“ElKing is a King who cares for his subjects and allies”.
“The King sent me on an errand to present you with 2 options, to become a subject or to become an ally”.
“Is there a 3rd option?” Saurdem, the Wisdom Priest asked.
“…” The Red Deacon did not answer that.
“If you become the King’s subject, you will automatically become his weapon of war here in the Minerva Star System”.
“You will receive full support from the ElKing Pirates”.
“Warriors will be sent to your base to aid you to accomplish your goals, war resources like warships and weapons will be sent to your base and replenished, with nothing else but loyalty asked in return”.
“If you refuse the 1st option and become the King’s ally, you will receive a list of the objectives that the King wants”.
“In exchange for warships and war weapons, including detailed information about the Nak and Ackermann States that are normally not available to the public, you will be tasked to fulfill the objectives written in the list”.
For a few seconds, Gaufrid was silent as he rapidly communicated with his Beast Priests through their spirit sense and they came to a conclusion.
Gaufrid looked up at this Red Deacon. “Is there no 3rd option?”
“…” The Red Deacon only directed an invisible eerie smile at him.
Gaufrid nodded. “I understand”.
The conclusion of the Beast Priests was simple. Originally, they wanted to take it slow by using the Espionage Priest who was a Beast Priest that most in this terrorist organization did not know of to slowly infiltrate into Nak State.
But with ElKing’s offer, they could afford to take things at a faster pace.
Gaufrid looked at the Red Deacon. “I accept the 2nd offer”.
“Good”. The Red Deacon nodded.
“Give us an objective to fulfill, we already have a list of demands that we want”. Gaufrid said as Darkvale walked forward and raised up a list.
It was the list of the ultimate technology devices that he needed to infiltrate into the quantum networks of the full Minerva Star System.
The Red Deacon smirked under the hood of the robe.
“This is ElKing’s first objective”.
2 months later, the speech of the Beast King, announcing the existence of the Beast Coalition to the whole Minerva Star System happened.
This announcement was followed by an aggressive approach opposed to the previous passive approach of the Beast Coalition to their dealings.
With the Shelter Priest as the center of the Beast Coalition military, raid after raids were started in enemy space as tens of thousands of beasts were being rescued, a figure that rose into hundreds of thousands in just a few weeks.
Watching the territories of the Nak and Ackermann State burn even as the victims screamed till death, Gaufrid remained stone-hearted.
George’s words played through his head and were his only melody.
‘We’ve felt pain for too long’.
‘It’s time we heal our wounds and show them a bit of that pain’.
‘Let’s make the Nak and Ackermann State know fear’.
‘Let’s show them what pain feels like’.
After every successful rescue session, Gaufrid felt on top of the world. He truly was the liberator that the heavens sent to liberate the beasts from slavery.
A year after the announcement, secretly, the Beast Empire was created.
That day, after all the celebration, Gaufrid locked himself in a cage-like room with Saurdem as they looked at the corner where a familiar figure once sat.
They relieved the old days of slavery and when their worlds felt so dark.
They tortured themselves with this to not let their accomplishments get to their heads, they wanted to stay grounded in reality.
Tears flowed down Gaufrid’s eyes. “Ancestor, I did it…”
“I fulfilled your dream”.
“I achieved our goal”.
“The Beast Empire is now a thing”.
With tears running down his bestial eyes, he vowed. “Today, I vow in your presence that I won’t stop here. The Beast Empire is just the start, I will become a symbol that won’t stop until every beast in slavery is liberated”.
Fast-forward 2 years, the decisive battle of the Beast Empire against the 2 ruling States of the Minerva Star System already started.
Gaufrid was at a crossroads.
‘I worked so hard…’ This beast thought.
‘I got so far…’
‘But in the end, it doesn’t matter?’
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
He looked at the raging battle around him, at the young beasts dying every second, at the Beast Priests laying their lives down for the cause.
‘Ghost…, did he betray us?!’
This was when all the memories of how they started floated through his head and instantly, Gaufrid shut it all out. “Ghost did not betray us!”
After saying this out loud, for seconds right there at the heat of this battlefield, this Beast just stood still with his head facing the sky.
Rain started falling a few minutes ago as the war raged on.
‘We can’t win anymore…,’ He concluded.
‘At least not the normal way’.
He looked at all the destruction and death before him. ‘Unless somehow, I am able to do it’.
‘Unless I am able to become a symbol’.
‘The symbol that Ancestor always believed I could be’.
‘But…, how?’ He looked around.
This was when he heard it.
“I am the key to help you become the symbol that you always wanted”.
“…”
“…”
“…..!”
Gaufrid was shocked. “Who?!”𝓞𝑣𝐿xt.𝒞𝒐𝑀
