Reborn: Rise of the Greatest Summoner

Chapter 164 Daemon's Last Stand!

Far away in the distance, smoke rose out of the canon’s muzzle.

With a stunned look on his face, Raining Sword did not know which expression to make as his virtual interface lit up the next moment.

Raining Sword was stunned.𝒐𝑣𝑙xt.𝗇𝓔t

He wanted to take a moment to celebrate, he was naΓ―ve, he didn’t know the significance of what his action had on this battlefield.

After the darkness disappeared and all the participants of the battle observed the aftermath, a tense suffocating atmosphere diffused the air as they observed each other, the sounds of their ragged breaths reverberated.

Any movement from anyone of them could ignite another frenzied clash.

After such an intense bout, all of them seemed to come to an agreement to collectively catch their breath but Raining Sword broke this delicate balance.

As soon as Raging Tempest lost his head and the delicate balance was broken, Blade was the one who acted first.

With his Precognition talent, he read the Skull Necromancer’s motives first as he exploded with speed towards him but he was not fast enough.

In the blink of an eye, he was the only psychopath left alive on this battlefield.

From the beginning till now, he was arrogant and full of himself, he already tried to use brute-force, he tried to use intelligence, cunning, he also tried to use restraint but none worked.

For some reason, his originally incredible luck seemed to have been cursed by the goddess of luck and he was experiencing his unluckiest day ever.

He never knew of the one little Fox that was his greatest nemesis.

Because of this, everything seemed to go against his favor.

But not again, he would no longer play with his life.

In his decades of walking the planet, searching for ways to become a Grade C Summoner without much progress, he was not idle, though his grade did not increase, his plethora of abilities increased incredibly.

He believed that one of them could save him.

“Necromancy Ability: Darkness Bats!”

“Master of Debuff Ability: Disorientation!”

As soon as Blade activated this ability, all the bats that flew out of the Skull Necromancer’s body lost their sense of direction as they flew aimlessly.

In desperation, Daemon’s voice rang again.

“Necromancy Ability: Underworld Teleportation!”

“Master of Debuff Ability: Ear Curse!”

The teleportation portal filled with a sinister undead aura barely started opening before all the bats shrieked as they heard the sound that they feared the most. In a bat state, Daemon had his vulnerabilities.

With the sounds reverberating in his ears as an eyesore, none of the bats were able to focus as the sinister teleportation portal flickered into bright lights.

During all this time as Blade inflicted him with his debuff abilities, he was not idle as he charged towards the bats in a bid to slice them all to pieces.

Though it was not more than 2 seconds yet this was enough time for him.

Blade finally closed the distance and the Skull Necromancer for the first time felt the feeling of fear against an opponent that was not a Grade C superhuman.

His brains through all the bats feeling the embrace of the god of death all geared into overdrive as he desperately thought of a way to save his ass.

The next moment, he arrived at his last-gasp plan.

“Necromancy Ability: Netherflames!”

“Necromancy Ability: Self-Combustion!”

“Special Ability: Cell Transportation!”

Before he activated the first 2 deadly abilities, Blade’s precognition worked as he detected the danger ahead of time. He tried to escape but he was already in point-blank range, he could only activate his cell regeneration ability and hope.

BOOM!

In a bright explosive display of art, Pseudo-Black Master Daemon of the Clown Society, the invincible Skull Necromancer self-imploded.

The green netherflames spread with such impunity like they wanted to burn the whole world. General Toothpick reacted on time to activate another Ancient Mud Wall that protected himself and all the beasts that were close to him.

As for Legolas and the others, they were not so lucky.

Though it was weakened at that distance, it was still deadly as the netherflames swept through them like a plague, instantly killing dozens of hunters.

Amid the netherflames, trillions of microscopic cells started escaping.

After imploding himself, through a special ability that he collected years ago, the Skull Pugilist was able to safeguard some of his cells and ordered them to escape amid the opportunity that his self-implosion brought.

According to scientists, an average human had 37.2 trillion cells.

As a superhuman, he had even more. Though most of them were dead as he was now a Necromancer, Daemon still had trillions of functioning cells.

They were still the building blocks of his existence.

His last-gasp plan was safe-guarding his cells.

Even as trillions of cells were burned, the others all gained wills of their own as they rapidly escaped the vicinity of the explosion with the speed of light.

With his pitch-black eyes glaring at them from the flames, Blade could do nothing as he watched all the cells escape from his field of vision.

They escaped but not after he gave them a special package of his own.

“Master of Debuff ability: Hunter’s Mark!”

Blade stood inside the flames with Poseidon’s Fury until the netherflames completely burned, all the while despite getting scorched his cell regeneration kicked up as he recovered completely in no time.

On turning to look, he saw dozens of hunters turned to roasted flesh already and dead from the deadly flames.

To his relief, Christensen and Captain Stokes also survived.

At the last moment as the explosion just kicked off, Legolas was fast enough to grab both warriors as he threw them towards General Toothpick, fully aware that he was the only one who could fully defend against the flames.

As for himself, he made use of a treasure that he stole sometime ago.

You have made use of a Special Treasure: Cloak of Nothingness!

Once the flames finished burning, Legolas came out of his invisible state.

Silence reigned as master and student looked at each other from afar.
