Reborn: Rise of the Greatest Summoner

Chapter 125 The Core Protection Alliance

Black Master Einstein lost all traces of his enemies.

In his decades of service in the Clown Society as a Black Master, this was the most humiliating defeat that he had ever suffered. A defeat against a bunch of youths and teenagers was something he would never forget.

He was outwitted, outsmarted, and outbattled today.

Knock’s sacrifice made sure that despite his incredible strength, he was completely kept at bay and prevented from wreaking too much destruction.

Legolas’s incredible decision making and smartness enabled them to discover the secret of the machine despite all his cautiousness.

Drog’s sacrifice kept the warriors’ motivation burning which in the end became a great catalyst not just for the warriors’ escape but Knock’s brave sacrifice.

The Void Raven was supposed to be a secret weapon of his side, Legolas outwitted him and turned this weapon against him.

He never expected Legolas to know a Void Raven though.

In the end, despite his incredible power, he could not do anything about the warriors that escaped all because of a Hound, a Shadow Hound called Brutus.

Brutus’s combination abilities of Invisible Shadow and Identity Merge was something that he could not break. He underestimated them and he paid the price.

‘What a wake-up call’. He sighed as he levitated in the skies.

‘Perhaps, I am indeed getting old’.

As he thought to himself, he was suddenly distracted by a loud roar that came from the skies inside the Ancient Titan City.

His eyes narrowed. “Someone is still behind?”

On turning to look, he didn’t just see a person, he saw a person riding a massive Red Dragon towards him as this intimidating dragon landed on the roof of a building where he finally saw the face of the person who rode it.

Such a massive Dragon was an intimidating sight to most people but Black Master Einstein was not intimidated, he already knew that the Red Dragon was just a Grade D beast despite its powerful bloodline.

“You are one of them”. Black Master Einstein’s eyes narrowed. “Is this a trick or you willingly came to give your life up for the greater good?”

“Neither of both are correct”.

Din answered as he climbed down from the Dragon. “I have no intentions to trick you neither do I intend to die now”.

“You said the stupid thing about us is that we got used to slavery”.

He looked at this powerful Grade C Elementalist straight in the eye. “I no longer want to be stupid, I no longer want to be a slave, I want to be free”.

He turned serious. “Take me in, I want to join your cause to bring an end to this crippling order of leadership and usher in the old order of natural chaos”.

Black Master Einstein had no change in his expression for a few seconds as he just looked at this warrior, the next moment he smiled.

“Welcome to the good side”.

“You will not regret it”.

“My name is Einstein…”

The Core Protection Alliance had its headquarters in the center of Planet Darvis, right on top the land where the planet’s core was located.

After the advent of superhuman energy and the rise of the 3 Great academies and the Hunter Union, humans discovered the importance of the Planet core. It’s importance to superhumans was like water to normal humans.

The Planet’s core was what enabled superhuman energy that was mostly called mana by some to settle on Planet Darvis.

The survival of Planet Darvis relied on the Planet’s core.

Recognizing this, the 4 main organizations of the planet formed an alliance to protect the planet core. The alliance was called the Core Protection Alliance.

Elite warriors from the 3 Academies and the Hunter Union were in charge of protecting it, serving here was a matter of pride for any warrior.

Silence was mostly the order in the Core Protection Alliance headquarters, but today, the afternoon was not quiet as alarms were rang.

Beth, like all the warriors reacted as soon as she heard the alert as she ran to her post in preparation for battle against any enemy while waiting for further details. After what felt like a dozen minutes, news finally came.

Apparently, an unusual energy reaction was just detected from the Planet’s core and was what caused the commotion.

After confirming that there was no immediate threat, the warriors stayed at their posts while the core scientists went to meet the alliance commanders.

Inside an enclosed room, a white-bearded old man addressed the 8 humans that were seated before him. “I have never felt such energy fluctuations from it”.

“Old man Gilliard, are you sure it’s not the regular fluctuations?”

“No!” The old scientist replied firmly.

“It’s different, I know it is”.

“This time, the fluctuation is aggressive and directed unlike the previous random fluctuations. For some reason, I discovered a similarity between it and an Elementalist drawing his energy from his core”.

“After studying it more for some minutes, I arrived at a conclusion”.

“What is it?”

“I think an entity is trying to harness the power of the Planet core”.

“…”

On noticing the odd stares around him, the old scientist pushed. “I’m right this time, I know I can get crazy at times with my theories but this time I am 100% sure of my discovery, someone is trying to harness the core’s power?”

The male dwarf Commander representing the Elementalist Academy sighed. “Old man, when have you ever not been 100% sure of your discoveries?”

“And most times, they end up being baseless theories”.

“I am right this time!”

“Ok, we get it”. The tall female Commander representing the Summoner academy spoke this time. “So, what would you have us do?”

“I tried to pinpoint where the fluctuation was directed towards, and though I’m not sure, I think it is towards the desert”.

“What is in the desert?” The burly and rough-bearded Commander representing the Pugilist academy asked.

“I don’t know, that’s why we need to discover it”.

“Old man Gilliard, you expect us to send some of our valuable warriors randomly to the desert in search of an elusive something just because you have a hunch?” The dwarf asked.

“Yes”. This old scientist nodded vehemently.𝗈𝑣𝗅𝒩xt.𝗇𝓔t

The male dwarf sighed. “Old age is really a disease”.

“I’ll do it”.

All the eyes turned to where the voice came from, where the handsome blonde-haired male Commander representing the Hunter Union sat.

“My warriors like adventures and stuck in this mansion, they don’t get much of it, I believe they’re already bored enough”.

“They’ll gladly take this mission even if it means going to the desert”.

“Thank you, Bernard, I appreciate this gesture”.

He smiled. “No worries old man”.

With that, the small gathering was brought to an end.

A few hours later, a group of 5 warriors and their Captain representing the Hunter Union were sent on a mission from the Core Protection Alliance headquarters.
