Reborn Rich: Prices Dropped, My Savings Didn't
Chapter 594 - 590: Your Move Is the Most Ruthless
Golden Blade bought a ticket at the bar’s entrance and got a drink voucher. After that, an invisible stamp was put on the back of his hand.
A security guard at the entrance scanned it with a fluorescent flashlight, and the stamp on the back of his hand appeared. This proved he had bought a ticket, allowing him to enter and exit the bar freely.
After getting into the bar without a hitch, he used the free drink voucher included with his ticket to get a Long Island Iced Tea at the bar. Golden Blade even specifically told the bartender to make it extra strong.
He couldn’t let the ticket price go to waste. Every extra sip of alcohol was a win.
Once he had his drink, he squeezed his way into the crowd, glass in hand. The bar wasn’t large, but since it was the weekend, it was packed, even though it was almost one in the morning.
But he knew a rich kid like Owen Griffin wouldn’t be standing in the common area. He’d definitely be in a comfortable, high-end VIP booth with sofa seating.
And the booths were usually arranged around the edges of the bar.
So he walked along the outermost aisle, scanning the sofa sections, and just as expected, he quickly found Owen Griffin’s location.
When they had entered the bar, it was just a group of five or six guys, but now, there were four or five beautiful women in Owen Griffin’s booth as well.
The reason Golden Blade chose this time to come in was that he had calculated that everyone would be pretty drunk by now.
No matter how well they could hold their liquor, after drinking for three or four hours, the ones who were going to get drunk were drunk, and the ones who were going to be dizzy were dizzy.
Sure enough, the people in the booth were staggering and swaying. Even if they weren’t dead drunk, they were mostly out of it.
Someone got up to go to the bathroom. Someone else got up and dragged a girl to the bathroom with him.
Golden Blade kept watching, waiting for the perfect moment to make his move.
Owen Griffin was drunk too, leaning back on the sofa with his eyes half-closed. A hot girl had been draped all over him trying to get his attention, but when he didn’t react for a long time, she resentfully got up and switched to a new target.
Owen Griffin, half-drunk and half-awake, poured himself half a glass, and Golden Blade locked onto the cup he was using.
When only Owen Griffin and another pair—a man and a woman who were passed out drunk—were left in the booth, he seized the opportunity and quickly moved forward.
With almost no hesitation, he acted fast, dropping the thing in his hand into Owen Griffin’s cup.
The next second, someone suddenly tapped him on the shoulder.
Golden Blade looked up and met Owen Griffin’s hazy eyes. Owen stared at him blankly and then, in a drunken slur, roared, "What are you doing?"
They were in a bar, and the music was so loud you had to shout to be heard.
Golden Blade was perfectly calm. He leaned in closer and yelled back, "Bro, you got a light?"
Owen Griffin clapped him on the shoulder, fumbled around his back pocket, and pulled out an imported touch-sensor lighter. The flame shot up the moment the lid was opened.
Golden Blade quickly reached for a cigarette, only to realize Caelum had them.
But he remained composed, making a show of patting down all his pockets.
Owen Griffin, pretty drunk by now, saw this and impatiently pulled out one of his own cigarettes, trying to shove it directly into Golden Blade’s mouth. He almost poked him in the eye.
Golden Blade quickly took the cigarette and stuck it in his mouth. Owen Griffin’s lighter was already heading for his hair, startling Golden Blade so much that he straightened up instantly, moving the cigarette to meet the flame.
Once the cigarette was lit, Golden Blade raised his own drink and shouted, "Thanks, bro! Cheers!"
They were both bar veterans; asking for a light or a cigarette was common. Plus, Owen Griffin was dizzy from the alcohol and didn’t think much of it. He casually picked up his own glass and clinked it against Golden Blade’s.
In the bar’s dim lighting, the contents of the glass were impossible to see clearly. Besides, Owen Griffin didn’t even look, downing the drink without the slightest suspicion.
Seeing his plan had succeeded, Golden Blade didn’t linger. He turned and walked toward the exit, downing the rest of the alcohol in his cup on the way.
The whole thing took less than forty minutes. Caelum and Monkey were still a nervous wreck when they looked up and saw Blade strolling out of the bar.
The two of them rushed up to him. "How’d it go, Boss?"
Golden Blade raised an eyebrow. "I watched him drink it."
Monkey’s face lit up. Caelum added smugly, "Just wait for the show. The guy who sold us the stuff said it’ll take an hour at most to kick in."
The three of them laughed. "Come on," Golden Blade said, "let’s wait in the car. It looked like they were about done drinking, so they should be leaving soon."
At the side of the road was a beat-up old sedan they had borrowed specifically for this job.
They had all been a little tense while waiting earlier. It was only now, after the successful operation, that Golden Blade sat in the car and realized something. "Fuck, why didn’t we wait in the car earlier? We were freezing our asses off outside for hours."
Caelum and Monkey were dumbstruck. They stared at each other blankly. ’Yeah, why didn’t any of us think of that?’
「About half an hour later」
Owen Griffin’s group finally emerged. They were all stumbling and swaying from the alcohol but were still conscious enough to walk.
Some who had gone in alone now had a girl by their side on the way out.
"Owen, we’re heading out! Make sure you get a designated driver!"
Owen Griffin waved them off and staggered toward the other side of the street.
In the car, Caelum watched him cross the street and exclaimed, "Holy shit, he’s coming this way!"
"What’s there to panic about!" Golden Blade hissed, rolling up the window to keep Owen Griffin from recognizing him.
But Owen Griffin wasn’t heading for them; he was heading for a tree next to their car.
Reaching the tree, Owen Griffin turned his back to the road, using their car for cover, and slowly unzipped his pants. He began to piss as if no one was around.
Golden Blade and the others couldn’t help but laugh at the sight. But the next second, on the back of the light-colored pants Owen Griffin was wearing, a yellowish stain slowly started to appear on his butt.
Monkey was closer and stared wide-eyed. "Holy shit, here it comes! It’s leaking out!"
As he spoke, he didn’t forget to take out his phone and start recording.
Owen Griffin, however, seemed oblivious. After he finished pissing, he pulled up his pants and headed for his own car.
The palm-sized yellow stain on his ass was especially eye-catching. Golden Blade grimaced in disgust at the sight. "Ew, so that’s what it looks like?"
Caelum laughed and explained, "It’s like oil. This kind is the potent stuff. You can’t control it; it just leaks out on its own."
"Monkey, did you get it on camera?"
"Got it, Boss! Crystal clear!"
A short distance away, Owen Griffin opened his car door and got in. Golden Blade frowned. "Is this kid planning to drive drunk?"
The words had barely left his mouth when Owen Griffin actually started the engine. Seeing this, Golden Blade quickly started their car as well, slowly pulling out of the parking spot. "Monkey, keep that phone up. Don’t miss anything."
Monkey got excited. "Don’t worry, Boss! I borrowed this phone specifically for this!"
Caelum spoke up, full of admiration. "Boss, your plan was vicious. How can he call the cops about shitting his pants? He’d be too embarrassed to even have it investigated!"
