Reborn Rich: Prices Dropped, My Savings Didn't
Chapter 503 - 499: Might as Well
George Lowe stared at the young woman in front of him, who was more than forty years his junior.
To be honest, in this industry, no woman had ever dared to speak to him like this. Not a single one!
"Young lady, impulsiveness comes at a price. Do you have any idea who I am?"
He was so used to getting his way after years of success that he subconsciously came up with an excuse for Cecilia Sterling’s audacity: the girl was simply too young to know who he was.
But Cecilia Sterling just scoffed. "I don’t care who you are. If you dare harass my sister, nobody can protect you."
OMG, this big sis is so cool!
That damn old geezer better not faint from anger!
Is this investor lady a friend of our Blair?
Their personalities are just alike! Neither of them would ever give a guy like that the time of day!
George Lowe’s pupils contracted in fury, and his hands clenched into fists.
The agent beside him glanced at George Lowe and gave him a look. George Lowe nodded slightly.
The agent then pulled out his phone and quickly sent a message. Blair saw this, and her gaze sharpened.
She quietly walked over to Finn and whispered, "No matter what happens in a bit, protect Lily and hide in the corner."
Finn didn’t know why Blair would suddenly say that, but he tensed up immediately and nodded quickly.
Then, they heard George Lowe speak again. "You’re an investor, so you can replace me. But young lady, let me remind you: you have to bear the consequences for your actions."
This was a blatant threat.
Cecilia Sterling was too young. In George Lowe’s eyes, she was, at best, just a hot-headed youth who didn’t know her place. He wasn’t truly afraid of a little girl like her.
Hearing this threat, the expression on Cecilia Sterling’s face hardened. "Is that so? Then by all means, use whatever power you have. I’d like to see just how impressive your methods are. You really think you can get away with anything, don’t you?"
The moment Cecilia Sterling finished speaking, a clamor of hurried footsteps sounded from outside.
The next second, three more men burst in.
With that, all the men on George Lowe’s team were now in the dressing room.
"Close the door!" the agent shouted. Vicious looks appeared on the faces of his men.
Lily Sterling startled and looked at her sister nervously, but Finn pulled her toward a corner. "Lily, stay back! Don’t be afraid, I’m here!"
Yuna also instinctively moved to protect Lily. The atmosphere in the room instantly became tense, like a drawn bow.
Blair loosened her wrists, her expression blank. Her eyes scanned the six men in front of her, not even counting the old geezer George Lowe.
The moment she had sensed something was off, she had already taken stock of the dressing room’s layout and anything she could use as a weapon.
She already had a plan.
Cecilia Sterling was even calmer. In fact, she would have found it strange if George Lowe *didn’t* try to vent his anger on the spot.
Attacking someone in a dressing room on set... with George Lowe’s methods, news of something like this would likely never leave the film crew. He had almost certainly done this before.
What’s happening?
Did that damn old geezer call in all these guys to beat someone up?
Don’t worry, our Blair can take on five of them, no problem!
Blair is amazing, but can she really fight five people at once? And including the old man, there are seven of them!
Should we call the police for them?
The livestream had over 300,000 concurrent viewers, and its popularity had shot it to the top of the trending lists on major platforms. A steady stream of new viewers was pouring in, and some bold fans were even frantically sending gifts to Blair.
"You old bastard, are you trying to start something?" Cecilia Sterling said as she stood up and walked to Blair’s side.
George Lowe snorted. "As an elder, I should teach you how to behave. This lesson is for your own good!"
But Cecilia Sterling leaned in and whispered in Blair’s ear, "Fight them?"
A smile played on Blair’s lips. "They’re already here!"
The words had barely left her mouth when, without giving her opponents a chance to make the first move, Blair struck. She snatched a thermos from a nearby table and smashed it viciously over the agent’s head.
With a dull THUD, followed by the agent’s pained cry of "ARGH!", the man saw stars and collapsed to the floor.
"You get back! And keep the camera steady!"
Blair commanded in a low voice before charging forward, taking the initiative and rushing her stunned opponents.
Cecilia Sterling quickly took a few steps back and raised her phone, holding it steady on Blair’s cool and collected back.
Seeing this, the men swarmed her, but their attack was a chaotic mess. They were just members of George Lowe’s staff; their only advantage was their gender.
A man fighting a woman already has a natural advantage in strength. With their superior numbers, they never imagined they could lose.
But Blair was no ordinary woman.
After six straight months of livestreaming, her martial arts skills had grown even sharper. As she charged, she hooked the back of a nearby chair with her hand, and with a wide swing of her arm, she sent the wooden chair flying at one of the men.
The man instinctively raised his arm to block, but Blair hadn’t held back this time. The chair slammed solidly into his arm, which recoiled from the force, causing the chair to continue its arc and strike him on the head. With a loud CRACK, it shattered into pieces.
Seeing an opening, another man lunged at Blair. Her expression unchanging, she launched a flying kick, striking him in the chest when he was still half a meter away.
The man grunted as his body flew backward, taking down another man behind him.
In an instant, less than ten seconds, four of the six men in front of George Lowe were already on the ground.
Lily Sterling, Finn, and Yuna were completely stunned.
Equally dumbfounded were George Lowe and his remaining men, as well as the viewers in the livestream.
AHHHHHHHHHHHH, QUEEN!
I’m dead! I’m sending a Carnival to my wifey right now!
Holy shit, she’s so fucking cool! So cool!
Gifts flooded the screen. Cecilia Sterling watched Blair’s back, a deeply reassured smile on her face.
The remaining two men were scared stiff. A moment ago, they had thought there was no way six men could lose to one woman, but in the blink of an eye, four of them were down.
As the two hesitated, too afraid to advance, they saw Blair slowly pick up a fruit knife from the table and begin toying with it.
The fruit knife twirled in her hand like a toy. Finally, Blair gripped the handle and, with a flick of her wrist, slammed it down into the tabletop. "I said it before. If you’re going to fight, come at me together. I’m in a hurry to get dinner."
George Lowe was also dumbfounded. He had seen all sorts of things in his time, but he had never seen anything like this.
Seeing that the time was right, Cecilia Sterling walked forward again and slowly turned her phone around under George Lowe’s shocked gaze.
The screen was filled with the special effects of virtual gifts. The concurrent viewer count: 500,000+.
"You..." George Lowe’s eyes flew wide, and he suddenly felt a sharp, twisting pain in his chest.
Cecilia Sterling said coolly, "You’re canceled."
