"Oh, we have guests..."

Quentin Perry spoke dazedly, his gaze still fixed on Cecilia Sterling, until Wendy Duncan exclaimed in surprise, "Oh, Quentin’s home!"

Only then did Quentin Perry notice the others, and he quickly greeted them, "Mrs. Goodman."

Monica Coleman took the opportunity to make an introduction. "Jasmine, this is my son, Quentin. He’s probably not much older than your daughter, so they’re about the same age."

With that, she turned to Cecilia Sterling and asked in a gentle voice, "Cecilia, how old are you this year?"

"I’m twenty-one."

"Quentin is twenty-four. He just graduated from college. Quentin, this is Mom’s friend; you should call her Miss Sterling. And this is Miss Sterling’s daughter, Cecilia Sterling. She’s three years younger than you."

Quentin Perry, who had just been rushing out the door, took the initiative to step closer. He first looked at Jasmine Sterling and said, "Hello, Miss Sterling. You look so young, I can hardly bring myself to call you that."

His words made Jasmine Sterling laugh. "What a sweet-talker. Thank you."

Quentin Perry’s lips curved into a smile as he looked at Cecilia Sterling again. Seeing her up close, he was even more stunned by her beauty.

He’d seen plenty of beautiful women, and he even had frequent opportunities to hang out with celebrities from TV. But the Cecilia Sterling before him now still struck him as breathtakingly beautiful. Just looking at her made his heart flutter.

"Hello. Quentin Perry."

He proactively extended his hand, his expression and tone completely different from a moment ago as he greeted Cecilia Sterling.

Cecilia Sterling looked at the man before her. Although he was undeniably handsome, he couldn’t hide the air of a spoiled playboy. Even though he was trying to act serious, Cecilia could see the flashy, restless nature that formed the core of this rich young master’s personality.

The feeling was not unfamiliar. She had seen it long ago in Jonah Goodman!

But given his circumstances, it was understandable.

Cecilia Sterling offered a superficial smile and politely extended her hand, her fingertips brushing his in a light handshake. "Cecilia Sterling."

Quentin Perry raised an eyebrow, mulling over the name "Cecilia Sterling" in his mind.

’It sounds beautiful.’

’As special as she is.’

Monica Coleman had been watching her son the whole time. Seeing this, she spoke up at the right moment, "Weren’t you about to head out? You should get going. If you’re going to drink, don’t drive. Have the driver take you."

She knew her son’s character all too well. Just from the way he was looking at Cecilia Sterling, she, as his mother, could already tell something was up.

Quentin Perry nodded. "Alright, I’ll be going then. Mrs. Goodman, Miss Sterling..."

"Cecilia Sterling." He looked at her, his eyes shining particularly brightly. He paused for a moment before adding, "You all carry on."

Cecilia Sterling didn’t look away, meeting his gaze directly without a hint of shyness.

After Quentin Perry left, Monica Coleman spoke in a half-joking manner, "This son of mine is such a handful. It’s been almost a year since he graduated, but he refuses to join my company or his father’s. Instead, he’s lost quite a bit of money on his own investments, stocks, and funds. He wants to go out and party every day. He’s about to turn twenty-five, but he still acts like a child."

As she spoke, she looked at Cecilia Sterling with sincere admiration. "Not like our Cecilia here. So capable at such a young age. It just goes to show that making money really does come down to talent."

"You’re too kind, Miss Monica. I’ve just been lucky," Cecilia said.

Monica Coleman nodded repeatedly. "You’re right. A person’s luck is also very important."

But they had barely exchanged a few more words when someone else came down from the second floor, their tone tinged with impatience. "Mom, is dinner ready yet? I’m starving!"
